  1. We don't need another soda debate thread. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6519/~/beverages
  2. Honestly everything on the Lido buffet for breakfast is absolutely disgusting to me. The omelette station is the best way to go unless you can't stand for the 10-20 minutes it takes to work through the line.
  3. Wonder if they'll walk it back this time when the change is instituted in just a few days...
  4. You are able to provide it during online check in but it is optional and up to you to provide.
  5. As soon as any changes are confirmed. Any time between now and minutes before the gangway opens. I have had port changes relayed to me months before sailing via email and also had the captain come over the PA and tell us we couldn't safely tender at HMC that day. So there is no rule.
  6. All the muster stations are on deck 4. Muster D is on the boat deck but I can't remember if it's port or starboard. It doesn't really matter. There are plenty of crew who can guide you to the muster station.
  7. I didn't smell pot in the hallways or coming off the balconies of cruises when they were $100+ per person per day in 2019. Certainly didn't smell it every cruise like I do now. That's all I'm saying.
  8. it really doesn’t matter Which substance you or I would rather be around as long as one of them is federally (and indeed internationally) illegal.
  9. Didn't mean to touch a nerve - just saying those who are hooked on pot so bad they have to sneak a smoke in their cabin's bathroom usually aren't cruising when prices are high.
  10. Yeah I was on Freedom last year, the cruise was maybe 60-70% capacity - which is almost spooky empty. Never had to wait for an elevator, comedy club always had room to spread out. But there was always a line at Mongolian Wok...
  11. If the strong concrete pier didn't survive I find it hard to believe that one survived, but stranger things have happened...
  12. It's tough for me to say for sure judging by that video but it's plausible to me that what we are seeing is just the segmented sections of the pier which are visible on google maps. https://goo.gl/maps/v4dM4hruHXmkc1cY9
  13. Agreed. As always and in everything - cash is king
  14. A lot of people will buy Carnival gift cards to fund their onboard account. If you shop around you can buy these gift cards at a reasonable discount vs. face value. That is an option.
  15. You have no idea how much of a relief this is for me.
  16. It says one bottle 750mL or less, not any number of bottles that add up to 750mL.
  17. Anyone that has cruised since the restart knows good and well there's been much more cut than just "scrambled eggs" so I don't know why you're being glib about it.
  18. You can use it on any drink available in the dining room. One of the fresh pressed juices, soda, whatever you want that's under $10.
  19. A lot of people in this thread have never seen the Scorsese classic "Casino" and have never seen whatcan happen when you get on the wrong side of a Casino...especially in international waters... 🤪
  20. And gets even more busy now because Brunch is closed early.
  21. Not to belabor the point but my point was they pay more for the food on Lido than they do the workers on Lido. I was not saying they pay more for food vs. labor in general company wide.
  22. My unsolicited advice is to find a good PVP or travel agent and give everyone that person's number and let them book their own rooms directly. There is nothing worse than constantly being the go-between, especially when the ball invariably gets dropped at some point it will get blamed on you.
  23. Depends on where the cruise is going for one thing. Carnival has their testing requirements here: https://www.carnival.com/Legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-guest-protocols?icid=advisory_cruisehealth_040122
