  1. I never get off a Carnival cruise wishing for more to eat but I do miss how things used to be.
  2. Wow I haven't seen cut off jeans in probably 30 years.
  3. Well for one thing room service hasn't been free after 10PM for years now. For another, I am not convinced that there is any more waste from room service than any other food venue on Carnival. It's plainly obvious to me the only reason that room service is no longer free is not because of waste, but because it's more expensive for Carnival to provide that service than it is to make everyone line up on Lido.
  4. I remember when they tried to charge for room service a few years ago. Wow it didn't take them long to about-face on that. I doubt they will back down this time though. I wonder how severe the blowback will be when they get rid of the free continental breakfast deliveries in a few months.
  5. It takes at least 5 months of neglect for the Costa ships to get as rusty as the average Carnival vessel. Don't want Carnival guests to be spoiled, after all.
  6. I don't think guests wasting a few turkey BLTs is going to move the needle on tens of billions.
  7. Agreed, I'm to the point in my life where I'd rather pay more and get an overall better experience than pay what I used to pay and get a materially worse experience.
  8. I for one am glad I am getting less for my money. I am on a CRUISE, a bad day on a ship is better than a good day in the office!
  9. But at the same time the free continental breakfast is really cheap and nasty - it's all dry and cold so it doesn't cost them much to provide. But every time I see a tray of it sitting in the hallway, 90% of it is still on the tray because it's disgusting food.
  10. 12 months or less. "Due to waste and lack of guest interest" or some baloney.
  11. I wonder when they'll cut the last thread of free room service and get rid of the free breakfast delivery. Can't be long now.
  12. Wow they just increased prices a few months ago. Hiking it again already. People really want it these days I guess.
  13. It can be a challenge to get a balcony or suite on the Fantasy class ships as they have so few.
  14. You'll see anything from Dollar General to Brooks Brothers on elegant night on Carnival. I'm sure if they didn't sell so many pictures to the families that did dress up they would have done away with Cruise Elegant night years ago.
  15. That makes sense and that is a shame.
  16. If the game is already installed onto your tablet I am not sure why it needs wifi at all.
  17. I'm sure they still have flares available in case of emergency, but there are more sophisticated ways to alert nearby vessels of emergencies today.
  18. I've not had that experience yet thankfully, power-hungry pier employees I mean.
  19. Then why is JH on Facebook saying that can happen? Empty threats aren't helping the situation.
  20. I used one of these PYOB stations once. The beer was foamy but yet somehow flat. It was tepid and tasted like the nozzle was dirty or the beer was skunked. On top of all that it was more expensive than having a bartender pour it, and I paid a tip. To say the least I felt cheated and have never touched the machines again.
  21. Yes, incredible isn't it. I go to afternoon tea more for the experience than the tea so the Lipton stuff is just fine for me lol.
  22. $1.95 was the price last time I looked in I believe February. It may have changed since then.
  23. Yeah other than quick getaways at drive-to ports or family get togethers, I'm pretty much done with Carnival as well unless they're willing to get the experience back to closer to what it was before COVID. I don't mind paying more, and I am doing so with other lines. I liked Carnival's product but don't like the current iteration. "I'm just happy to be cruising again" isn't good enough for me anymore.
