  1. It has been suggested to grab some cheese and sliced cold cuts from the salad bar and place in your fridge for late night snacks. we are thinking of bringing some crackers to partner with the cheese and meats.
  2. If parking your car, use park connect to save near half $$
  3. If in a balcony, think about which side will have the sunset and sunrise. Usually wake up early on first half then want to see sunset coming home. So, for most Caribbean cruises, stay on port side for sunrise heading south and then sunset when heading home-north. Port side. Ship tends to alternate which side when mooring, so there is usually no safe bet with this.
  4. Have had multi rooms on paradise with a large family gathering. We did not get connecting rooms. They were ocean view. Some of our adult children are louder and perhaps messier. We had no problem meeting in hallways and knocking on doors. Just my 2cents
  5. With the updated track, the parked cars will not have flood issues, just a lot of wind and rain. If there are no changes to the storm, Tampa dodged a devastating situation beyond comprehension.
  6. Mardi Gras- 9 days. southern Caribbean to include St Kitts and ABC islands. Need 9 days on Mardi Gras to eat all food offerings. Or perhaps turn this into B2B with second sailing to eastern with St Maarten, P.R., and add Antigua. I know these don't exist but, why not? One day a journeys. Also, Alaska and Panama Canal on the bucket list
  7. When sailing south, port side gets sunrise. Starboard gets sunset. When sailing north, opposite, port side sunset. yadda yadda The ships tend to alternate which side they moor alongside pier, this is intentional and changes almost each cruise.
  8. Been through two tropical storms, as mentioned above, expect some bumpy seas. Also, they may reverse the order of ports, so if you have an outside excursion, the port day might be changed. There is of course the possibility of missing ports. Highly recommend packing some ponchos in case you have rain on a port day. Ship will sell out.
  9. Southern Itin is one of our favs. Curacao is one of the most interesting ports. Also enjoy Aruba(two islands in one). Western itin is very easy to book and a lot of deals since most FL ports go there. We always try to go southern when possible since it usually an 8 day.
  10. Good overall. Amazing crew. best emb/debark we can recall. Love the new hull blue paint. Public restrooms updated, carpets updated. Overall nice shape. If you are familiar with her and her offerings, you will have an enjoyable cruise.
  11. TV on as mentioned above. Will be really dark at night and get amazing rest. We spent less time in room. It also seemed cooler without heat from outside, however we always bring small tower fan for cooling and noise.
  12. i believe that area shown with arrows is outside with steps going up to golf. i was just up there a few weeks ago. hopefully my memory is correct
  13. I would also think survey results are a factor. Had a great CD on Paradise this August. Best emb/debark I can recall. Conversely, March on Pride was a disaster emb/debark with a fill in CD. Big names on big ships seems to be the norm.
  14. try the casino bar. have seen happy hours on first day on those ships without red frog.
  15. drop off luggage, decorate room (re use carnival ceiling magnets) - put up door banner - put up danglers outside by door (helps locate room) then muster, Usually drinks at whatever bar has happy hour. First drinks include taking pics and sending to our friends that are not with us (to tease them of course). Food at some point of course.
  16. Just returned from Paradise last week. I noticed some interior upgrades. Carpet and public restrooms. Also the blue on the hull looks great. No obvious wear areas, but we dont look hard. She was clean and the entire crew was fantastic! Best emb/debark we can recall. I would say it would be a great cruise
  17. Did not do a review. I think she is in overall good shape. Love the new hull blue color. She looks like a new ship! It appears there have been some interior carpet updates. Also noticed the public restrooms are refreshed and updated. I did not see any obvious sore spots. She still has the farcus charm. I am sure others can add details, but I always find a way to have a great time and don't look for wear. The crew was fantastic during all interactions. Best emb/debark I can remember from any ship. Check in time was 11 and we were on ship in 11 mins. Debark was 8 am and we were released at 7:52.
  18. Just off her last week. Login into hub app, click on reserve and select who is attending in your party. Some nights our entire party did not go. Super simple and they notify you when table is ready. We went earlier and it was less then 10 min wait for all 5 days
  19. I guess I am fussy. Probably more so when drinking as soda instead of mixer. After a few drinks, cannot tell the difference. I know some say there is no difference either way.
  20. hahaha. I would not spend the time to hide beer. They def looked in there. I would much rather sneak rum in a hidden shampoo bottle or some other container. We had purchased cheers, so.... Do like my coke zero, thus the case.
  21. they actually opened our 12 packs of soda. not a bad idea to have a bag or tape to reseal carton. i assume looking for alcohol.
  22. Walked on at 11am saturday. Got off at 815 today with checked luggage. Paradise has there stuff together right now. One of the best emb/deb I can recall.
  23. Or you can pay for the fishbowl, get it served in a pitcher, told to come back on next day to claim your fishbowl. Then, they will tell you they never had them and sorry. Kinda disappointed on the Pride 5oth sailing and this ^^^ scenario. (March 2022) Simple, if you don't have it, don't tell us to come back for it another day.
