  1. Happy anniversary! We are doing a cruise over our anniversary for first time in august-30 years. Hubs birthday is couple days before and will be at Disney up with grandkids-2nd time he’s got Disney for a birthday. My birthday last March was in the Panorama. Once we aren’t tied to school schedule sounds like this week is great cruise time.
  2. Safe travels home - thanks for the fantastic epic “live”. I’ve read along with several of your “lives” and the tone of this one was probably the most “happy” one of all which was also pretty great to read!
  3. We stayed at Surfjack for one night before our timeshare week started. Very fun hotel with decent sized rooms/suites and reasonably priced (no extra junk fees).
  4. After reading so many of your reviews (I lurk a lot lol) I’d trust you over some of the bloggers-thank you for doing these reviews!
  5. Patty takes such great pictures! Loving the review. Found a good price for Freedom over our anniversary in August-so many of the vlogs on YouTube say there’s a bad sewage smell in common areas and ac doesn’t work well? Hold on a 4J (with leftover gift card and $500 OBC would be a cheap cruise but not if it’s stinky lol) Did you have any issues? TIA!
  6. Totally agree! We spent a week on Maui last summer (not a cruise :)) and did a private Road to Hana tour with driver on way up and helicopter on way back. Highly highly recommend! What a great, detailed review!!! It's that time of year where the sleet/snow comes down and I start booking vacations-mmaaayy have just booked Horizon for Jan 2025 (leftover credit on a gift card from panorama last spring). Would do sooner but have big trip planned for son's senior year next spring. Retirement sounds heavenly and hop you are feeling much better
  7. Safe travels! Lol on the suitcase: Hawaii two weeks this summer I took out huge suitcase, plus hubs had his checked bag and we each had our carry one. Hubs was like-theses cases aren’t even half full! Oh but they were packed on way home 🤣. I’ve learned to pack with the case non expanded so I have wiggle room on way home. And have that handy portable suitcase scale.
  8. I think that was best part of cruise for hubs lol! all your stunning pictures is reminding me I really should put together our photo book of our cruise!
  9. Best kept “secret” for boarding day lunch ! 2nd this. It’s a bit of a workout too if you race! So much fun! Known by different name in MO -especially at Lake of the Ozarks. We usually get a floater too lol saw the IG too! Definitely reliving our cruise thru you!
  10. Haha-can relate as we had the 630 am time. Our whale watching tour was super early, worth it though as we saw lots of marine life. Done early enough to hit a Mexican joint to celebrate St Patrick’s day with margaritas! And hubs had a mariachi band come sing happy birthday to me (3 days early for bday but who cares). It was at that point the teenage son asked if he could find his own way back to ship 🤣. Nope we further aggravated him by dragging him along for shopping! Lookin forward to Megan’s exploits-absolutely loved this ship and itinerary. It’s CRUISE DAY!
  11. SO JEALOUS!! Loved Panorama-sailed on her in March. Alas have to "adult" and pay bills (damn house and car repairs) so no cruises for a while for me 😪 So will be living vicariously again via CC and favorite cruisers!!!
  12. Great cruise story! We loved the Panorama -did her in March back when our Cabo day was so much shorter! Friend recommended the Jaun more taco tour but we couldnt do it due to short day. Sounds like a great day! We did a small boat whale watching tour instead (fabulous if you go again during whale season) D&K were there at Alchemy when we were on board-great people! Best drinks on board-hubs and I were there every night-closed it down with our favorite bar tenders the last night-they made special drinks for our groups send off lol. Closest I got to 15 Cheers limit was 10 a couple nights and 14 on last night of cruise! Serenity is great if you can snag a clamshell!
  13. We were on Panorama this past March (me, hubs, 16 yo boy) -supposedly full as it was Spring Break time. Never had issues finding chairs on Lido, nor issues finding spots on Serenity, we did the mini golf almost every night after dinner, did the sky ride several times (usually a line here but easy to keep an eye out an hit it with smaller waits). Service was great. Even the Guys burger line seemed to move fast and it seemed no one ever wanted Blue Iguana in am?? More for me! Alchemy bar was a BLAST-we were there every night and the last night the bartenders made special "goodbye" drinks for our group (people we met at the bar that like us-showed up every night lol) Only thing that was a bit of disappointment were the comedians that sailing (usually they are quite good-this group was bad). Do the Rhythm of the Nights excursion through Carnival-easily one of the best excursions we've ever done! Ship size was also great-big enough it was pretty easy to find quiet spots but not so big it took 20 minutes to walk from one end to other. Have a great time!!
  14. Finally got up although did try to keep up on Instagram! Sadly no cruise booked (yet). We are discussing using our timeshare in Hawaii next year or saving the week to use for longer in 2024. If it’s 2024 will be looking to possibly book a cruise -no way can I go two years before planning something! If I lived near a port I think I’d be cruising every other week with some of the prices right now! Glad to see you made it home safe and sound!
  15. I’d officially hate you right now now if we weren’t wrapping two weeks in Hawaii. And Carnival keeps sending deals, and I’ve still got flight credits and companion pass…friend just booked a Norway cruise for next year (that I really wanna do!) Yay to B2B!
