  1. The guilty ones will certainly change their behavior immediately.
  2. They are a flight of stairs. Really going out on a limb here - If unable to traverse a flight of stairs, a CL would not be a great choice for a room, as they have stairs (unless able to book accessible room). That includes getting luggage up/down in some way/shape/form.
  3. Ya, but he may have decided that those napping would have constitued a greater number of whiners if he extended the noon announcement. Additionally, image the whiners if no announcement had been made at all. What an inconvenience either way for all those safely onboard during this medical situation 🤨
  4. and in hopes of getting another 6 pages on this subject, .......
  5. That is simply an example of 'negative reinforcement'.
  6. We appreciate each and every cruise, and if/when we don't - we're done. That being said, the cutback of the bridge and galley tour (as well as priority boarding) was a tough pill to swallow. I do let each concierge we meet know our disappointment. We are beginning to book other lines in addition to RCL. What used to be 100% Royal has become 70/30. I see next year closer to 50/50, and won't be surprised if we continue the trend. Reaching Pinn is near, but that means little to us (our goal is to be Pinn for at least 5 years before anyone even knows).
  7. Ya, looks like May is the month least likely to have weather drama....some people will refuse to go in May for that reason only. 😉
  8. I'm not techie, nor am I on this sailing, but I have heard of Holiday Inn (and am aware ship isn't returning until Friday). The doctor provides input...I'm ultimately responsible regarding status of my health. And while I agree w/ you on poor RCL communication, we also treat our vacation success as being our ultimate responsibility.
  9. Agree. Also sad for those waiting to board who are unable to apply deductive reasoning (i.e. Ship docking Friday would be difficult to board on Thursday).
  10. Thanks again for restating your opinion. I'd agree w/ ya, but then we'd both be wrong.
  11. The thread below currently has 48 comments. A simple search will yield several more threads on this dead horse.
  12. This has been our experience as well.
  13. Absolutely not. I don't even bring a device w/ me when cruising, let alone log into one.
  14. Good for you. We leave for most major storms, and generally on cruises. House is insured and in the unlikely event it gets hit, no real need to see it happen in person. Rather be on the ocean.
  15. Exactly. If there are 30 participants at $20pp, the organizer gets a whopping 120 points for putting the event on - big deal. Takes a bit of effort to organize and I certainly have no desire to be the one who runs one. Of course, there are plenty who will whine that 'I didn't get the points, wah....'.
  16. Save the candy (and the subsequent embarrassment) for Halloween (at home!).
  17. Hmmm....can't imagine why people who like Royal would be on the Royal threads lol. Of course, then there are those who are here that don't even seem to enjoy Royal - they must lead an interesting life.
  18. He got a couple suckers/fish nibbling....
  19. If you are correct, thanks for the info. My search discovered the info that I posted. Guess there’s a chance one of us is correct.
  20. So you're saying you don't have a problem, as long as someone else is paying for it, correct? My interpretation (and expectation) would be that increases such as port fees would be passed along to the cruiser, regardless of whether the cruise is already paid in full or not. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/price-change-information
  21. So, it's about the increase of the cost of a drink. The dilemma is, one needs that extra drink when visiting the place. The overall cost of visiting the place (vs. having a sea day) thus costs me 2 extra drinks/pp. 😅
