  1. many thanks. We fly direct from Manchester UK via Heathrow so anything could happen to our luggage! Heathrow has been problematic recently too.
  2. Hi I've completed our ArriveCan app for Sunday's arrival into Vancouver. I'm now offered the optional choice to complete an Advance CBSA declaration. What is this and is it worth doing just for 1 visit? Many thanks
  3. BA are pushing me to use the Verifly app for our flight on Sunday to QE. Anyone used it? Any advantages? -It's not compulsory and it's yet another app to have to mess about with. many thanks
  4. we had it on a Marella ship and it worked fine. Mainly because there were 6 of us travelling together and the lovely staff ended up saving us the same round table table every night at pretty much the same time!
  5. I found out today that Come From Away ends its London run early 2023. Such a wonderful prodction. Hope you get boarded quickly.
  6. no worries, just wanted to make sure I had the right version!
  7. I've just checked my version and it says V3.0.4 - it's an Android phone, would that make a difference? Says that version is 23/06/22.
  8. bon voyage. You know the world is getting back to normal when rafinmd starts posting travel reports again!
  9. I like the lighter more Art Deco feel of the QE. Our one cruise on QV was Southampton to Fort Lauderdale and as lovely as the ship is, I didn't enjoy her as much as QE or QM2. I've done 2 TAs on QM2 and loved them both for the dress-up and the experience of sailing across the Atlantic on a "proper" ocean liner. For me it's QM2/QE followed by QV.
  10. I'm taking mine but we are on till Fort Lauderdale so I'm sure I'll use it at some point. I've enjoyed reading your blogs about Scotland and the Med cruise too. Did you get to read Little Wing by Freya North?
  11. Thanks for the comments everyone.
  12. I've looked up the port schedules at the various ports we are going to. How accurate it is I'm not sure but it gives a guide at least.
  13. It's when I came to Check in. We're within 21 days of our trip now so I saw it there. Not noticed it before so I'm guessing it's only on the Check in page.
  14. thanks Host Hattie - the years go by fast enough without this 🤣
  15. I've just noticed that my age on the voyage personaliser is showing as 1 year older than I am. It is showing the age I will be when we depart (a week after my next birthday!) I'm sure my DOB is correct. Is this normal - to show the age you will be on departure? thanks
  16. we've seen Alfie a few names now, both on his own at Fleetwood Town football ground (his home town) and with Michael Ball, another musical theatre star. Each concert has been absolutely brilliant. He has a very dry humour. Would love to be on that cruise!
  17. thanks for the advice. I do have asthma that can be triggered by some products. I'll make sure I have extra inhalers just in case. Hope you had a good cruise apart from that.
  18. thanks everyone for the help - and the fabulos photos. I've booked it for Vancouver! It's 2 days after his birthday so it will just extend the celebrations and be a fitting end to our Alaska cruise before we continue on down the US West Coast and through the Panama Canal.
  19. yes, there looks to be plenty to see. It's just that my OH has always wanted to go in a seaplane so I thought Victoria or Vancouver would be an ideal place, especially as it's his 60th birthday the same week. We'll enjoy Victoria however we see it!
  20. thanks. Unfortunately I can only get a refund 24 hours before the flight, so I may have to leave it for nw and see if I can get something nearer the time.
  21. thanks for the helpful replies. I'm having a slight rethink and maybe do the seaplane tour in Victoria instead as we are apparently there 9am to 9pm. Does anyone know how close the cruise ships dock to where the seaplanes are (it's Harbour Air that I'm looking at). There are tours available at 10.30 and 12.30.
