I believe Viking offers a discount if they get your cash rather than your CC Not sure if you would have any recourse should things go pear shaped with Viking

if you pay for a lower cabin category like G & get a C yes it is a better deal IMO 😃

Will they not send the final cruise summary email to you? You usually can get bag tags at the dock

You may not get assigned a cabin until check in at the port you probably will not be able to upgrade at that point with a GTY you will be on the ship Personally I try to avoid GTY bookings YMMV

Thanks maybe mine are not leather but leather like Better than the brown ones they had for a short time One went through the wash & survived I have a bunch we use them for DL & CC easy to find in my pocket or purse 😉 Safe travels

Many people have rolling suitcases or boxes for their wine & just check it with the porters I have only taken 1 or 2 bottles & we have the single padded bags & just put them in the checked bag We took a special wine to our cruise in Amsterdam it survived fine

you could try clearing your cache/cookies if using a computer or a different browser & see if that helps I am surprised they would not book the excursions for you ?

Does your agent work for an agency? Maybe someone there can help get you some answers My guess will be Oceania will not be going there but then what do I know Unless you have CFAR insurance unlikely they will cover you if you cancel

Maybe it will work like the other ships where you might be able to get extra reservations in the other Specialties & just skip Ember We often do not use all our specialty reservations & some people eat in the Terrace and never go to the GDR I am sure there will be people that will like the new restaurant & others may not

I think a lot of confusion was with the phone reps Of course you could not upgrade until you were onboard if you had the O life perk which they were telling people they could pre pay It was if you purchased the packages ahead you could get the discount but then that too was confusing all the the discount was dropped JMO

it depends on what you drink & how much for some people that would be a bargain For us no package is better people have to do the math for what works for their wants/needs YMMV
