  1. They do have dining rooms where you are served on most ships don't they ??
  2. if you mention the city where you will embarking I am sure some can recommend hotels & transportation You could also look at booking the hotel via Oceania then the transfer from the airport to the hotel & from hotel to the ship is included Check the cruise & prices for the hotel offer it is PP so do the math Usually if you do your own it can work out cheaper but sometimes is pays to go with convenience over cost Personal choice
  3. I believe the room opens at 7:30am to 10pm they is a soft closer on the door so it does not bang shut Your neighbours will probably make more noise as some people cannot seem to hold the cabin door until it closes
  4. The UK may have different perks so I would ask your TA or who you book with In North America they are not included but if you find a the right TA they will give you PPG via Oceania
  5. hopefully someone will have more info
  6. well at least they will take USD have not found any US ports that take our funny money 😉
  7. Thanks that is what I thought I would use it not via Oceania Deal with whoever issued the credit Trying to use it with Oceania would just complicate matters in my opinion
  8. Can you clarify the "Air Credit"? Where is it from?
  9. Check in the "Other cruiseline forum " for some newcomers
  10. it is allowed but some places will not give you a favourable rate of exchange I would just get some $ before you leave home or if your Debit card will work in Canada use it most places take CC now some have a $5 spend limit some small shops or local transit may not We usually get some US cash before we go on a cruise partly to tip the crew any extra that we choose to reward Enjoy
  11. Some non alcoholic cocktails are free eg virgin Pina colada They have a new alcohol free spirits Lyres brand that come with a fee I think you could request the Perrier water but not sure as I never have bothered
  12. The T pool is not for swimming Never had a problem with the bench It is something to hang on to when the jets are going full blast 😉 Found this on T pools https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=3021
  13. Yes only on spa deck If you are in a Concierge or higher cabin cat you have free access to the spa deck You can ask the spa manager for a day pass for a fee T pool= thalassotherapy is on Riviera the Marina have hot tubs on the spa deck https://www.cruisecritic.com/photos/ships/riviera-607/spa-terrace-311100/spa-terrace--v14125007/
  14. I think the new Pizza oven is only on Riviera at the moment maybe Vista when it sails Someone will correct me if wrong
  15. We have gone ashore for a walk after dinner in some places ..it was still light out & docked in town Depends on the show if you want to rush back
  16. Did you book those classes or excursions or trying to book one? If trying to book one maybe call O & ask to be put on the wait list We went on the waitlist for a cooking class on boarding day we manged to get in one of our selections but no guarantee that will happen with either excursions or cooking classes
  17. you can try FIND A CRUISE at the top of the page https://www.cruisecritic.com/cruiseto/ Use the filters to pick a month/departure port etc..
  18. You are a brave soul 😄 Also other things can affect people's taste buds like smoking/heavy drinking & medications
  19. As long as I can remember Oceania has never been good with communication onboard A couple of Captains were very good about telling pax about port changes but not all Captains relay that message If unhappy talk with your wallet When DH was served bad food not once but 3 times on the same sailing I had a hard time convincing him to sail Oceania again (I cannot blame him after his experience) It may be time to move on to another line there are so many to choose from JMO
  20. They can do it but if not on duty when you want to see them the desk on Deck 5 might be Options Some use the concierge for recommended restaurants on shore getting things fixed We had to leave a cruise early (medical) he helped with new flights they will help with other things
  21. We cruise for the ports We may not be gone all day like some We may or may not be back for lunch depending on the tour we do or if we do a tour We sometimes just wander the town stopping for a snack or meal depending on the day We sometimes have a day on the ship as we need a break from the touring We usually are not bringing up the gangway when we return but we do enjoy our day no matter People are so judgemental You can spend your day the way you want but why judge others for doing the same When you start paying for their cruise then you can tell others what they have to do whether onboard or in port Enjoy life it has an expiry date ..you just do not know what that date that is
  22. BTW in airline terms Direct flights are not the same as NONSTOP Be careful what you ask for
