  1. T29 is one that is not exclusively used by any one line. HAL uses 29 frequently this season. Many of the terminals have exclusive use agreements (like you won't see Princess using T25, the updated T4 will be Disney only, etc.) Just because one terminal is open on a given day doesn't mean another cruise line can jump in there because it's convenient. Port Everglades Terminal 2: Princess Cruise Lines Port Everglades Terminal 4: Disney Cruise Line Port Everglades Terminal 18: Royal Caribbean Port Everglades Terminal 19: Holland America Line Port Everglades Terminal 21: Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruise Lines Port Everglades Terminal 25: Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Port Everglades Terminal 26: Holland America Line Port Everglades Terminal 29: Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line, Royal Caribbean
  2. LocalLux is just a resident rate which you can't have both (which would have been ALLINCBO75 NRD. I have the resident rates from Feb 7. I think the issue is that there is no All Included resident rate available. They were cruise only (LOCLXNOPRK NRD). I assume the website allowed them to go ahead and add All Included on the options page and it created a conflict between the rate and the rate code. If you talk to the correct person I'm not sure why they would fight it. $4,200 for that cruise isn't really a steal. On top of that I don't even see a combination of rates available that would equate to the $4,200 original fare + $3,000 additional requested since this wasn't a suite booking.
  3. They do have a smaller much more obscure placard in the Retreat that they set out in the morning. There's always "that guy" the group leader that wakes up at 4am to commander the group prime seats. That will never change.
  4. If you can post this portion of your original booking invoice it would help a little bit.
  5. No one here can offer any direct help but I would send a message to them either on Facebook or Twitter briefly explaining the situation and asking for a call back. This doesn't make sense. I feel like they couldn't figure it out and just landed on the issue being due to a resident rate that wasn't available to Washington.
  6. If people would just remove their used towels it would solve a good portion of the problem. Even just dump the towel on the ground if you insist on being lazy so it's more apparent the chair isn't being used.
  7. A lot of people sleep with them open at night. A hot humid cabin sounds terrible to me, but regardless, I could see some confusion that they would be locked if there was a chance of rain over night. But there is no hard and fast rule that they are locked at a specific time.
  8. 95% of the time we do private tours with only those we are traveling with. Absolutely will not do ship tours that involve a coach tour, a walking tour, a beach break, snorkeling, lunch or an “on your own”. Private tours can be more cost effective, customizable, more time at sights you want to see and you aren’t hearded around with an ear bud. The only time I ever consider a ship tour is if a destination is far from the port and the timing is tight getting to and from.
  9. My experience is limited to the Caribbean. It’s different, yes. But the boring parts don’t make good television. The ships are very chopped up so if there is a rambunctious event in one space you could be next door and have no idea. Just like Celebrity’s passengers aren’t 40 year old models in nothing but designer clothes, VV’s aren’t exactly whatis depicted either. There are a lot of options but it’s not confusing at all. Just go to wherever looks appealing. I’m slightly younger than you and share much of the same sentiment, but it’s really not all party and loud all the time. Like I said, my experience is only Caribbean, I suspect a Med cruise would be a little less lively just due to the long port days. Am I super eager to book another? Probably not. But I’m not opposed to it.
  10. IMO just pay for the r convenience to get dropped off at the ship. I wouldn’t book ahead. Just get a cab or have the hotel arrange something. Italian hotels are pretty accommodating with things like that.
  11. They shouldn’t. The $100/pp fee applies to any ship or sail date change. Are you saying you have a cruise booked, want to cancel, then apply those funds to another cruise you have booked that just happens to be on the same ship? You would lose the entire deposit in that case.
  12. Premium drinks (and WiFi and grats) are not amenities of the cabin. But you will know as soon as you check in. There is a frequent occurrence of something happening in error that no one ever posts about.
  13. If you have a ship excursion you will have priority (sort of). If you have a private tour booked you are in the group with everyone else. It can take a while, that's the best answer. We recently waited ~2 hours in Santorini. Just keep in mind everyone wants to be first for their own unique circumstance, so bring your patience.
  14. A bit of a logical leap there. If they wanted to be difficult, the T&C's say they won't move you at all. It's already the way it is. No convincing needed.
  15. That is not right. Veranda is the category. Inside, Oceanview, Veranda, Concierge, Aqua and Retreat are the general categories. The supercategories under the Veranda category would be: Veranda Partial View (V3) Veranda (V2) Prime Veranda (V1) Deluxe Veranda (DV) Sunset Veranda (SV) If you choose a Veranda Gaurantee you can be assigned a cabin in any of those supercategories. Although it's far less common now, sometimes there are specific supercategory guarantee offers (Sky Suite Guarantee, Sunset Veranda Guarantee, etc) where the cabin is more specific but those are seldomly seen.
  16. The category is veranda. Prime, Deluxe, Ultra Deluxe, etc. are subcategories. You could have chosen an Aqua or Concierge GTY that would have gotten you any cabin in those categories also. What you received is a veranda category. This is why I discourage anyone from booking a GTY for this reason. They are usually happy with the price and unhappy with the cabin allocation. You have to be willing to take the worst in the category. If you're finding you're already unhappy with it, I would highly suggest paying the small difference, doing some research and getting the cabin you want.
  17. The family/kid thing will always be a hot debate. Celebrity doesn't do much to appeal to families with kids but people still bring them on. Some love it, some hate it. Some of the first time crowd is partially driven by the cheap prices offered during the midst of COVID. That will eventually wash through. Will they return any time soon? I doubt it. Traveling with kids during spring break season isn't the best time to really get a fully representative experience either. Ultimately if you are looking for a high brow experience, a mass market cruise line isn't it. Especially during spring break.
  18. If you are talking about the frosted bifold doors, they have absolutely no effect on the AC staying on or off. They are not air tight by any means. The only thing that shuts off the AC is if you lower the window itself.
  19. We recently were in one of the end Magic Carpet Sky Suites. Our window was looking aft and it was like having your own little Magic Carpet to yourself. Would definitely book this cabin again. There is no difference from floor to floor. Plenty of shade which was especially welcomed after our prior cruise in an SV where the balcony was unusable. Unless you are standing at the window or balcony edge no one see you. The closet setup is a little tight since it's next to the bed rather than in the entry hallway area like in other Sky Suites but it was not an issue. The entry hall with the second door pretty much guarantees a silent cabin too.
  20. You’re just paying 4x more for someone to walk your group from the pier to the ferry dock. Just do it on your own and save your money. No reason at all to do this one through the ship.
  21. Depending on traffic that could easily be a 45+ minute drive just to get to the heart of South Beach. Is there something specific you are wanting to do or see? Unless you venture out a bit, it’s tourist trap. Not sure I would dedicate 2+ hours of door to door transit time unless I had something very particular in mind.
  22. Holiday cruises will definitely have more kids and t-shirt families but for some context the max occupancy of Reflection is a tiny bit over 114% at 3,480. Double occupancy is 3,046. To be at 114% would mean every single one of the 434 cabins that hold 3/4/5 guests was occupied at max capacity which is just not very likely. The occupancy numbers you hear on board are very rarely correct.
  23. 🤔 The question was do you keep Aqua amenities if you Move Up to a suite. The answer is no - with the one exception being if your Move Up is into an Aqua Class Sky Suite.
  24. You still get spa access with an Aqua Sky Suite. It's just the suite + aqua product combined. https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/staterooms/suite-class/aqua-sky-suite
  25. No - you would only get Aqua privledges if your Move Up was into an Aqua Class Sky Suite.
