  1. If the door is propped open on Carnival, it means the steward hasn't finished preparing the cabin. Whether card or medallion, your picture is associated and pops up when used.
  2. The patters from my Oct Discovery cruise
  3. On sea days it opened at 11am and port days I believe 4pm. I'll check the Patters
  4. https://carnival-news.com/2023/11/16/carnival-jubilee-to-offer-fleets-first-5g-coverage/ Somewhat dated, but I don't see where it was posted before. It will be added to more ships and I think eventually the fleet. Yet another option for those who can't stand to unplug, or otherwise not have that choice, on a cruise. I know ATT has a cruise plan, not sure if anyone else does, YET.
  5. Lol. You have a lot to learn about how businesses operate in the real world.
  6. Never tried Spirit and have no interest. I still fly Southwest on occasion, but Delta has priced themselves out of my market - and I get a BOGO coupon with them annually. I'd rather pay for Internet if I want it o Southwest, and I usually have free Internet on American and United through TMobile. What mass market cruise line includes Internet for all?
  7. Cruise lines don't eat the cost of Internet. You will still pay for it and not have an option to opt out.
  8. It's nothing personal and certainly not limited to Carnival or for that matter, cruising. All cruise lines have cut back and increased prices. I see it on other lines, too.
  9. Seems perfectly fine. I've used them before.
  10. It isn't a one way street. The off ramp is to speak with your wallet and leave. It is Carnival's cruise line and their rules.
  11. LOL. Millions? The price increases are justified by Carnival having to add capacity to try to satisfy demand. Those who need to be connected to the Internet to enjoy life are as bad as alcoholics who need to drink. Life goes on.
  12. I've set off the smoke detector by taking long, hot showers with the bathroom door open.
  13. So you have no issue with the cabin steward gratuity. As for eating in other parts of the ship, those are alternative services and are part of the tip pool. The people who served you breakfast in the MDR were likely still working there at night. or somewhere else. The staff is there to serve you whether you utilize them or not. It is always a team effort. The people you see and the many more you don't. Choice is good. There are a variety of vacation choices available for those who want burger king vacations (have it your way).
  14. This century? I have gone to my cabin when boarding only to have the steward request that I come back later since they hadn't sanitized the room yet. I do appreciate that they no long dump off reams of Diamonds International garbage. When the paper Funtimes returned, they drop those off. You can get ice twice a day, no problem. Etc.
  15. What data does it pull? The app only required the Intranet - not the Internet. When the satellite link is down, I can still use the app.
  16. Have they really? Enhanced cleaning protocols are still in effect. Passengers generate the same amount of garbage whether it is emptied once or twice a day. Fresh towels are provided, if needed - how many showers a day do most passengers take? Etc.
  17. None of the reasons you list are the responsibility of the people the gratuities are for. You are responsible for choosing the cruise.
  18. Some do, some don't. 18% gratuity is added to Chef's Table, for example.
  19. The Hub app doesn't require Internet. Why should everyone subsidize Internet for the subset that want Internet?
  20. I'm certain you won't be going to Antarctica on Carnival Cruise Line. I brought rechargeable hand warmers with me on a Celebrity Antarctica cruise and nobody said anything. My laptop can generate a lot of heat, too.
  21. I believe it is Chef's Table Lumiere that is only on Royal class, and Chef's Table on the rest.
  22. It was on the Nov 12-19 Regal sailing, so in the vicinity of Thanksgiving, I suppose, but it wasn't marketed as such.
