  2. I wonder why a check recipient doesn't call Carnival and ask where the money came from. I'll theorize that some future cruise credits expired, and Carnival, being overly generous, decided to refund the money instead of keeping it.
  3. I needed to adjust the upper shower head holder - it was upside down and the shower head would never have fit the way it was assembled. and, of course, the balcony... Not the best view in this direction but oh my... They had to raise the deck to eliminate the step to get onto the balcony and install the electric door. There was an issue with the door one time, but it mostly worked. The entrance door to the cabin did have some issues that they may still be working on. Sometimes it wouldn't close, but swing back and forth and if you made it mad, an alarm would scream.
  4. There were tons of US outlets in the room - I think 4 above the bed, one in the nightstand, 2 over the desk... The bathroom. The drains almost worked to keep the bathroom floor mostly dry, but there was a spot I needed to put a hand towel to dam up escaping water when showering. There was no obstruction to rolling into the bathroom or shower.
  5. Flash forward to a tease of our cabin. I booked through an unknown TA who said she had balcony rooms available when no one else appeared to. The balcony seduced me. Then I noticed it was a Ambulatory Accessible Cabin. I pointed this out to the TA who insisted she couldn't find anything that indicated that. I couldn't find anything that it wasn't an AAC. We do qualify, yet have never chosen these kinds of cabins. Surprise! During the dry dock, the cabin was converted to a fully accessible cabin. I certainly would not have chosen that, but as it turned out, we helped Carnival debug some issues that would have been problematic for some. They probably are still trying to fix some of them. The ceiling obviously had an issue, but they put that back together. They widened the door, which meant elimination of one of the nightstands (I assume). There was a new bedside lamp with USB and a US outlet.
  6. It really isn't odd, at all. Or unusual. If looking for false rumors, you are in a right place. Book face would be another.
  7. If this about non-smoking casinos, I suppose it could be possible, but didn't Princess used to have non-smoking nights occasionally in the casino? I don't see non-smoking ships. That would not only apply to passengers, but also crew. Carnival Paradise made money, just not enough. It was completely smoke free.
  8. And foreign flagged ships are exempt from most US labor laws.
  9. Ancient history + Royal Caribbean. Carnival limits drinks to 15 per day with no warning labels.
  10. If true (we agree to disagree), it happens all the time. Huge corporations reduce headcount of regular employees and replace them with contract workers until profits look better.
  11. Google should come with a warning label... here's what Google executive said," We are not a truth engine." Google does not serve as our answering bot or our artificial intelligence-filled bot.
  12. I don't think Carnival has much liability exposure, or they wouldn't sell Cheers. I have never seen a warning label on a cruise line balcony that if you climb over the rail, you might fall.
  13. When I did contract work, I took direction from company I worked for - not the company that signed my checks. I don't care what google says. Google will even tell you they aren't right all of the time.

  18. There are many who work for Carnival units who are not employees of Carnival. The way GCS is structured, it shouldn't be difficult for Carnival to outsource should they choose.
  19. Carnival Cruise Line doesn't have shareholder meetings. I should raise it in public forums to raise public awareness.
  20. Onboard spend has to, in order to make up for loss of cabin revenue from gifting excess cabins to gamblers. That was the plan from day one of the restart. A new phase is overdue. Be that as it may, Carnival knew, and proved, that if you lower the cabin cost enough, people will sail. As there are more people who have not cruised than have, there is a ready supply of replacements waiting in the wings. Having said that, I know many spending in the casino are not cruising on casino deals. Many cruising on casino deals try to spend the bare minimum to keep getting casino deals. Carnival needs to shuffle the deck.
