  1. No free wifi if that is what you are asking
  2. I wouldn't assume port security can read. as for bottles Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles.
  3. Call Carnival. Check the various roll call groups to see if any lurking TAs have cabins or if anyone gives a heads up that they are going to cancel. Now that Carnival has added a penalty for some no shows, there are periodically cancellations.
  4. Hence the move to all inclusive where gratuities can't be pulled
  5. The earlier you get to Taormina, the smaller the crowd. It just gets busier and busier after that. I usually skip the theater not wanting to pay for admission. There could be a long line for tickets if not included. Earlier this year I tried the app, GPSMyCity and Taormina is one of the cities include. Some of the app is free, but if you want the navigation part it costs extra. It did seem to work fine, but I already knew where most of the locations were.
  6. I'd say BS. I have a cell phone with Tmobile and whenever I forget to switch back to airplane mode after a port, I always get messages warning me that cruise ship data is not included.
  7. Probably cheaper at your local store, but amazon, of course, has several of his... https://amzn.to/46Yn4pP
  8. Any of the forward observation decks (aka secret decks) would be a reasonable choice. Lights at the front of the ship are minimal to avoid interfering with the bridge operations.

  10. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit Carnival Corporation & plc has engaged Stockperks to implement a more automated and streamlined process for the processing of shareholder benefits. Simply: Download the app via the links below, or search for “Stockperks” in your app store Once downloaded, create a Stockperks user profile Then search for “Carnival” in the app, and select the cruise line you are traveling with Click the blue button “Validate your portfolio” and you will be guided through the process of providing your CCL ownership details Once confirmed you can then submit a claim for each eligible booking Please note that onboard credits cannot be processed onboard your cruise. Please ensure all shareholder benefit claims are submitted at least three weeks before departure through Stockperks.
  11. It usually doesn't take stockperks long - especially after you apply the first time. Please note that onboard credits cannot be processed onboard your cruise. 12. Not all OS sleep 4. It would be a single sofa and an upper.
  13. If you book with a TA, Carnival won't touch the booking - you will have to go through the third party for everything. Choose wisely.
  14. I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories, but I have read a lot of false rumors. No doubt some think that service has declined and no doubt perhaps it has to some extent. Little doubt that in the past, service levels were higher than what was being paid for. No doubt that there are more whiners and complainers today than in years gone by - about everything. It is reasonable to reallocate resources. I really don't care what the opinions of others are - especially when so much is subjective. I have a brain and form my own opinions. Illnesses on and off cruise ships are real and when my regular waiter disappears for a few days, I'm almost certain they are still on the ship.
  15. It would be a good question for whenever they have Q&A session with the hotel director present.
  16. Yes. Just because someone doesn't have a dedicate staff of 10 in the dining room, doesn't mean the resources weren't reallocated somewhere else. In years gone by, I would often see some staff standing around with very little to nothing to do. It was very poor resource management.
  17. I'm not sure how many more passengers can eat is SD. I think it is more of a shift in revenue source.
  18. I see several comments about staffing levels and wonder where additional staff might sleep? Perhaps they could rotate through passenger cabins.
