  1. Perhaps it is Carnival following? Anyway, all of the cruise lines are trying to raise prices and are certainly cutting back on what you receive.
  2. The MSC USA business model is to poach customers from other cruise lines losing money in the process. As a privately held company, they don't have to deal with annoying shareholders. Enjoy it while you can - it isn't sustainable, and they have already cutback on promised perks. MSC in Europe is a different animal.
  3. It is simple for a local operator to check with the port authorities and find out what time Dream will be in port and whether or not they can accommodate. Not all dive boats have to leave at the same time.
  4. People paying only port fees and taxes for a cruise might easily spend more for a Happy Meal. I'd stay away from Ticketmaster since they and their parent company are being investigated for outrageous fees, and venues are looking for other ticket companies to deal with.
  5. Have 50 of you friends put a hold on cabins you don't want until the one you want shows up. Pick a refundable fare and go ahead and put $800 down on the cabin you want.
  6. Disney jacked rated by about a zillion dollars a day. Buying a new car is a challenge because there is no supply. Housing market is collapsing with prices continuing to decline. Apple has serious issues with China. Had to inject some reality into the conversation.
  7. If you add up all the money gamblers claim to spend annually (to say nothing of smoking gamblers), it is about 1000% of the total revenue since time began. The free room offers will decline for most. Trust me.
  8. Someone had to buy it for them to sell. After wash sale deadline passes, maybe.
  9. The casino is not paying full fare, if they pay at all. "Trust me" are words of politicians. But there are accounting differences. One is upfront cash vs no guaranteed onboard spend. A gamble indeed.
  10. This ^^^^ Cutback on the freeloaders and the average price per cabin to Carnival goes up.
