  1. Sunshine has already been in New Orleans. The naming ceremony was even held there.
  2. Ships without a suite lounge https://www.cruisehive.com/royal-caribbean-removes-loyalty-benefit-for-being-too-popular/90337
  3. Royal is cutting back on free drinks by pulling access to the Concierge lounge for all except suite and Pinnacle Club members.
  4. Since nobody here is going to compensate you if Carnival cancels your cruise, CALL CARNIVAL and find out if you can ignore. I can think of a reason or two why you might need to make a partial payment, but some here will want to debate endlessly without actually knowing.
  5. Sort of. Belize doesn't switch for Daylight Savings Time. If a tour operator is not aware of when the ship shows up and departs, I would pick a different operator. They can get the times from the port authority. I still recall the good old days when a transatlantic I was on adjusted clocks 15 minutes every 4 hours. I don't miss those days.
  6. I don't recall Panorama having passengers on the ship then. Wasn't there an issue with the life boats and the locks? Anyway, the Splendor did go through the new locks once they were open.
  7. While I have them available - the daily papers Day1Paper.pdf Day2Paper.pdf Day3Paper.pdf Day4Paper.pdf Day5Paper.pdf Day6Paper.pdf Day7Paper.pdf
  8. I think Night 1 was the best meal I had that cruise. The rest, while good, weren't better. Night 2 menu
  9. When closed, the area gets hot and humid. When I went on Splendor around South America, the closer to the tip we got, the more the roof was closed. The ship would also be good in Alaska, Greenland, etc.
  10. I have the other menus in assorted formats. I often would get two appetizers and two entrees. or two desserts. Not sure if I did a trifecta, but I'm sure it would be okay. I would encourage them to bring them two at a time.
  11. Like Splendor, the retractable roof is over the mid-ship pool which makes it more comfortable for sailing from colder ports. For a few years Carnival has only built warm water ships, so Venezia will be more flexible.
  12. It was interesting - one might be enough. I'll need to work my way through the menu next time.
  13. Yes. and it got worse. I went to the turtle farm not that far from the sandbar and could see the seas were windy and rough. It isn't unheard of for ships to miss Grand Cayman entirely.
  14. Lunch at Cucina is included. On Celebration, it is Cucina for lunch. I think that might be a trend as Carnival like's branding. Cucina lunch menu on Celebration CB-Cucina-Lunch-Menu.pdf
  15. Splendor is Concordia Class, but Carnival didn't have one so they might as well make a new class. Venezia is/was Vista class, and I'll wait for someone else to do a deck plan comparison to see what differences, if any will exist.
  16. Sunshine was an experiment and over the top, but Carnival has continued the trend, albeit scaled back some.
