  1. As of May, "Stockpiles in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) fell to 538 million barrels, the lowest since 1987.", or much less than a months supply.
  2. Bloody Mary, Martini, Cosmopolitan, vodka mixes with anything.
  3. Can you? Probably, if you don't mind breaking the rules. Please review alcohol policy Restrictions In accordance with applicable laws, Carnival requires that a purchaser of alcoholic products must be at least 21 years of age. Please acknowledge and confirm by checking the box below that you are at least 21 years old. If you are not 21 years of age, please click "Cancel" below and remove all alcoholic products from your shopping cart before completing your order. Alcohol orders are not permitted to be taken to any location outside of the approved delivery locations specified for those products at checkout. This program is designed for in-cabin entertaining or in-dining consumption only. Consumption in public areas is strictly prohibited.
  4. Pretty sure anyone who wants a job can find one.
  5. Hardly competition. AMAC has about 1 million members to AARP 38 million. I certainly don't agree with their political agenda. The discount is dependent on you booking through their agency and no doubt is a kickback similar to what other travel agencies might do.
  6. Royal is betting they can get most passengers on and off the ships before they develop full blown covid.
  7. How many days does it take an Excel ship to tender using just ship tenders? I might avoid MSC altogether https://www.cruisecritic.com/msc-british-isles-cruises_cl80-de111/mra/
  8. Plenty of job growth so more money to spend. Look for fares to go up.
  9. Yes, it would. It amounts to a ferry transporting passengers from one US city to another without a stop in a distant foreign port. They could run from Tijuana.
  10. Yet another misleading thread title. Royal is experimenting with dropping testing for VACCINATED cruisers on short cruises. Better vaccines are coming.
  11. The picture shows it has surge protection and would be confiscated by security if they notice. Maybe something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LY5WXBY This has USB connections, but doubt it would work if the outlet is recessed. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DL7GRXN/?th=1 Maybe a combo?
  12. For medical, I'd look at an annual policy from Geoblue. You can find a policy that would cover pre-existing conditions. The Carnival/AON insurance is group insurance, and the older you are, the more sense it makes. Depending on the state you live in, Carnival includes cancel for any reason "insurance".
  13. Short cruises, including 7 day cruises, are not long enough to try all the venues anyway. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes for the next time
  14. What does your TA say? It would be their job to investigate. Why did you transfer to a TA anyway? Did they also offer you something?
  15. A shuttle ship that isn't American flagged would be illegal.
  16. You may have already lost the cancel for any reason clause. I think you can get partial coverage up to a week before the cruise. Or it might be 10 days. 2 weeks?
  17. Yes. We only ate in the MDR twice and the rest of the time in other venues. YMMV.
  18. When we had YTD on Mardi Gras we were limited to upstairs. We tried sitting downstairs and they refused.
  19. They won't. They have been quite successful at pushing debt out to be more manageable. If push come to shove, the institutions that are already owed billions can't afford to not loan Carnival more.
  20. If the earnings are a loss, doesn't a lower loss per share look better? What next loan?
  21. The third person was likely charged less than the first two. My guess is $239 less.
  22. Not sure why some are so obsessed with Carnival selling a billion dollars in stock. First of all, they filed for that last January. It wasn't a surprise to anyone who follow such things. Selling stock doesn't increase their debt and some of the proceeds will be used to pay down debt Carnival has been doing stock buybacks off and on, so the "dilution" of the new stock is not what some think.
