  1. These comments always interest me. How is it going to have any significant financial implication by them holding ~$225* for a few months? Even at a generous 4% interest in a money market or something, those 3 months equal $2.25 * $16.00 per day double occupancy 7 nights
  2. Sorry to hear that. I would be happy to give up my desires (skipping Port Canaveral and getting OBC) so that those who wanted to go there, could.
  3. I feel bad for those who had plans for Port Canaveral but I hope the same itinerary and credit happens for the March 19 cruise that we are on. We were not planning to get off in Port Canaveral anyway and would enjoy the credit
  4. It is quite common to have an oasis class ship with another ship at Coco cay the same day. We were on the allure with the mariner in June. It did feel a bit crowded, mainly for beach chairs. The pool didn’t feel as slammed
  5. Before, at time of booking. I don’t need, or want, to see a bunch of daily charges showing up on our onboard account and something drastic would need to happen for me to try to remove them anyway .
  6. Cruising solo (with wife and son in connecting cabin) in 9 days on the Anthem to get my wife and I to diamond. This will be useful for our July Alaska cruise and Dec Celebrity cruise, and all other Royal and X cruises from now on. Dan
  7. Chairs tend to fill up from the bottom left of the map, then to the top left and then top middle. If things are looking full by the time you get on the island this area tends to fill up last
  8. Interesting we are on the Anthem on the 19th, same itinerary and the Anthem is due to arrive at Nassau at 12pm on our cruise , hence my question. Been that way for months. Did you post originally to show that they have “caught up” and are now back to the original planned itinerary times on the current cruise, despite the propulsion issues ?
  9. Also, I know in years past if you chose MTD you HAD to prepay gratuities, but not sure where that stands now.
  10. Putting a bracelet on your arm is a typical occurrence along the path unfortunately. One of the tactics to guilt you into purchasing items. They do it because it works. We still go through that area but know the tricks. Our kids like to browse but have visited Labadee (and other aggressive souvenir locations) enough to know how to handle these situations now. Dan
  11. We board the 19th and fortunately didn't plan to get off the ship in Port Canaveral (just spent 6 nights there over Christmas). If Nassau is bumped back an hour that's fine too. Hopefully they have the issue resolved by then. So if this is still an issue, I would actually welcome it since we would actually get some compensation back for something that barely impacts us. Sorry to all you impacted on current sailing Dan
  12. This is super helpful thank you. Think it's safe to say I could reserve a spot for 9am if our ship arrives to port by 7am?
  13. Monday, Delta, doesn't matter if it's coach or FC, no pre-check, no clear.
  14. Looks like we are the only ship in port that day in July (it's a Monday on the Quantum)
  15. When I look to book through Royal Caribbean (which I don't intend to do) it looks like the earliest departure that shows up is 12:20pm so maybe I answered my own question and 11:20 is pushing it? I wouldn't worry about it cruising out of FLL or MIA if we were cruising out of Port Everglades or Miami respectively since the airport is so close to the cruise pier. Just don't have experience with Seattle cruises (alaska)
  16. Our cruise gets back to Seattle cruise terminal at 7am according to our itinerary. I see it's about 30 minute drive to Seattle airport from there. Is 11:20am too early to depart SEA that same day? Seems if we did self disembark as early as possible we could get to SEA by 9am, leaving a couple of hours for check-in and getting to the gate. Anyone have experience that can help? Thank you.
  17. Good call!! I’ll have to look at mine too and see if it says 2 per room. I’ll print it out if it does edit: looked it up and sure enough mine still says 2 per room. I’ll be printing that out for sure since I’m solo in my room
  18. Amped Freedom and Amped voyager classes are our favorite so far but we have not tried the quantum class yet. It will be interesting to see what we think in a couple of weeks on the Anthem
