  1. In Aust and NZ it is harder to re-fare. I would try and call Princess, as it appears you booked with them direct. If you had other incentives like OBC you may lose them as they may not be included with the new price. If you can't re-fare it comes down to whether your deposits were refundable. If so, you could simply cancel and rebook. If not you might still be in front but is it worth the hassle. You may or may not get the cabin you had, if one had been allocated.
  2. Some people are just weird. You should have gone to the M&G as for every grouch there are plenty of nice people.
  3. The word of the day is butter. Spread the word.
  4. Yes it is. My cruise in July will never get here if @Pops37 is determining the calendar.
  5. So, not March but April 37th? Gotcha.
  6. The exterminator needs to travel to Oz. Just logged in to the App and the first screen (the one with number of days to embarkation) shows in the background but the spinning wheel spun for at least three minutes before it opened. From there I tried to open the My Journey page and I'm at two minutes of spinning wheel and counting. Had no problems until the recent update.
  7. I took heaps of moose pics on our Alaska land tour - this one is my favourite
  8. I have been watching that cruise and about two weeks ago the prices went up. By about the same amount as what the new Princess promotion is offering in OBC!! There are plenty of cabins remaining but I'd be booking now as I think any price drops will be minor. I'm waiting to get a FCD on a cruise we are doing shortly and will use it if I can, but I'm not fussed if I miss out. There is also Royal Princess NZ cruises around this time and I'd probably rather cruise on that ship.
  9. Our Princess land tour was at least 8 days from memory and didn't seem too rushed. The main hassle is having to have your bags in the hotel/lodge corridor early in the morning, so means early rising, but that applies to most land tours anywhere. Certainly a reason for us though to do the land segment before the cruise, where you can relax a bit more. We added a couple of days to Anchorage and did a few extra things like Portage Glacier and loved it.
  10. Couldn't disagree more. We did a Princess Alaska cruise coupled with a Princess land tour and it was one of our best trips. Couldn't recommend it enough. You say "one of the worst experiences of your life"....and you live in LA. 🤔
  11. It's champagne that otherwise should be poured down the sink so don't feel so bad. We've won a few bottles of that stuff over the years and other than the first bottle we tried, we usually just leave it in our cabin at cruise end. It is too far to bring it home and use as engine cleaner on the car.
  12. If you dock on time at 8am, it is rare that the all clear is given within 30 minutes. However, as mentioned above, in my experience we often arrive early so you could be ok.
  13. One great thing about Princess is that have self service laundries, so we use those. Occasionally we do dry clothes on the balcony and use the chairs. Those retractable lines in the bathroom are useless in my opinion as it takes forever to get things dry in there.
  14. We had the lasagne at Sabatini's on Coral last month and it was probably the best I have ever had.
  15. Strange. I just booked one of the Specialty restaurants on the App for a cruise on Sky in July and it showed $39 which I assumed was $US and it was. My credit card was charged $US78 which converted to $AUD118. (so the good news is that with conversion, as at today, the cost in Aussie $ is about $59pp not $63 as mentioned a few times above. Bargain🙄
  16. I agree at face value, however the cost of Specialty Dining should really be the difference between the average main Dining Room cost which you have already paid for and the uncharged for Specialty.
  17. Not included with Plus, only Premier.
  18. Not long before it jumped to $42 it was $A29. I used to visit Crown Grill and other Speciality Restaurants at least once per every 7 days of a cruise. These price increases have now put them beyond what I consider good value, so I have cut back. My upcoming 22 day cruise I'll go Specialty Restaurants twice. We get the Plus package but these restaurants are not included and the Premier package isn't worth it in my opinion.
  19. During Covid I used them for shopping as well. After the Ruby Princess debacle down here I had no trouble getting a checkout as when people saw these bags they cleared out.
  20. It is hopeless that there are different arrangements across the fleet. I personally think the way that the Sun have it as you described above is ideal, yet on the Coral last month if you didn't have a booking they didn't want to know you. However, how are people to know if the only thing that is consistent is inconsistency.
  21. All good mate.đź‘Ť
  22. It was a light hearted comment. Oh boy.
  23. If you were getting close to your limit of 15 I doubt you'd be capable of a trip to guest services.
  24. My recent cruises had never shown MUTS in the daily schedule before we embarked but were in the daily event listing once onboard.
