They once quarantined me for 2 days when I went to medical & complained about food poisoning which I thought I got from their buffet.
This was long ago, before Covid.
I've learned not to ask or even question medical for advice unless your very sure that it's serious.
Breakfast is pretty much the same as the buffet with a few items like French toast made special or eggs Benedict.
It just takes to long to go to the DR for us to bother wasting the time. Usually over a hour to eat a simple breakfast.
By the time you finished breakfast all the lounge chairs at the pool will be reserved. 😖
Unless you've gone into a church that hasn't been remodeled in the past 50 years they're almost impossible to find. I always though they were for hats but I'm reading they were for bulletins & cards also. I guess that's why there a thing of the past. Maybe they could add them to the back of the chairs in the DR's. 😁
Not very well attended with people dressed in white & gold clothing as it wasn't well published prior to our cruise in Dec.
It was a little dresser during Christmas and even more so during New Years.
Still, it wasn't enough to make my DH dress up to their standards.
His standard is Polo & black jeans on formal nights which worked nicely.
I may be very well mistaken but isn't much of their problem with the Medallion app caused by the fact that they're trying to get it to work with many different models & vintages of phones?
Seems like a nightmare to me.
Wow, now you've got my attention. I normally get off the ship during a B2B and it's a great way to spend part of mid day at the beach rather than waiting to get back on the ship.
Thanks.
On the Enchanted they encouraged use of hand sanitizers and washing at the buffet but few people did. It was not enforced and as I recall not one time were we asked to wash up before eating. There were sanitizer dispensers at the DR entrances if you wanted to use them.
Very few passengers were wearing masks and hardly any crew.
I did hear of once case of Covid and it did appear that they still had groups of cabins reserved to Covid cases since they were blocked off from entering.
It's easy enough to bypass the elevator if it gets to crowded.
My husband just does down the escalator with 1 of our bags while I wait at the top. He leaves it at the bottom & just runs back up the stairs to get my suitcase & I don't have to worry about being unsteady.
They're to heavy to strap together.
What everyone has posted is 100% correct.
The days of people limiting themselves to formal dress in the Caribbean are at a minimum. They've learned that Princess now lets everyone choose for themselves how to dress and not that they have to dress for others in the DR for a few short hours.
Enjoy your Caribbean cruise no matter which style of clothing you choose.
I'm just curious as to why you read them if you feel there are to many? Many people find them informative even though I'll admit there are many of them.
Another thing is that actual dressing has changed considerable since the return from Covid and unless you've recently cruises on Princess, you wouldn't know.
While people wear what they themselves choose, I really think you'd be much happier bringing your tux to wear. Don't let anyone deter you from enjoying getting dressed up.
I've been looking for shorts on formal night in the DR but haven't seen anyone wearing them yet. (not to say it didn't happen)
I'll continue to check each formal night.
They do say that alcohol brought back on board will be held until the last day but our experience has always been that we can get by the check-in desk & bring it to our room without any problem.
We also bring zip lock bags for snacks (cookies, Danish, cereal, etc.) on shore. Other than in Mexico, we've never had a problem.
We'll I stand corrected but I still don't think it's right to hold tables for 6:30 PM arrivals. There's nothing they can do with that table until you arrive, meaning someone who's ready to eat will have to wait at the door.
I'm surprised. Reservations only slow down the seating for everyone since it is open seating. If they did that with a filled ship I think it wouldn't work very well.
