  1. I received our notice this morning here in Florida. Update to General Policies – Shareholder and Military Benefits Policy Update Dear XXXXXX, For guests eligible for both the Shareholder and Military OBCs, each guest must now choose which OBC they would like to book; these two OBC will not be combinable with each other. This will not affect your onboard credit on your current booking with us, only future bookings. Please note that effective today June 29, 2023, all voyages departing after September 12, 2023, will have the following policy changes to Shareholder and Military Onboard Credit: The Shareholder and Military OBC will no longer be combinable with each other. The Military OBC will be non-refundable. The Shareholder OBC will remain non-refundable. Non-refundable Onboard Credit Amount: Cruise Length Shareholder Cruise Length Shareholder Amount Military Amount 6 days or less $50/stateroom $50/person 7 to 13 days $100/stateroom $100/person 14 days or longer $250/stateroom $250/person All other terms and conditions of usage remain the same. Again, we will honor your combined onboard credit for your upcoming booked cruise. We look forward to welcoming you on board!
  2. A few years ago, before the pandemic, they were giving brewed coffee at the IC before 6 AM at no charge. I doubt if that's true any longer today.
  3. That reminds me that I should get paper cups at night so I can get coffee to go early in the morning at the buffet area before the pastry shop opens.
  4. I don't think so. "For guests eligible for both the Shareholder and Military OBCs, each guest must now choose which OBC they would like to book; these two OBC will not be combinable with each other. This will not affect your onboard credit on your current booking with us, only future bookings." As of right now we're getting both Military and Stockholders OBC so I'm not doing anything.... BUT if when I book our next cruise they eliminate the stockholders OBC, the stock will go. The way the news article reads, it sure doesn't appear that way. Without the OBC, I've got a better place to keep my money.
  5. Plus eliminating the OBC for couples with Military and Stockholders shares. It's the only reason we kept it all these years but it looks like there's no more reason lately.
  6. Maybe I'm just not that particular, but the dripped coffee on the Royal class ships in the buffet isn't all that bad. It's still not as good as what you pay for at the IC, but it is included.
  7. Have you applied for all of your future cruises already? If so, were they approved?
  8. We just summited for 2 cruises at the end of this year. My husband received military (automatically as usual) and the stockholder OBC which in in joint names was sent with my name. There was no need to put just my name as the stock owner. Whether or not that will work in the future, who knows. I'll worry about it when they refuse my SOBC at the time. If I don't get it, I'll be selling the stock.
  9. It all depends on what the main courses that are offered in the DR. We always look over the menu first and if there's nothing of interest, head off to the buffet where there are always many more selections. In the evening, like mid afternoon, it's never crowded.
  10. We had that type of OBC last cruise and once on the ship there was no limitation on how I could use it.
  11. How close to the sail date can you get a QR code?
  12. I really think it makes some folks feel special knowing that they're dining on items that others aren't eating. Other than having seating waiting for you when ever you arrive, I've never missed out on any of those tableside prepared items.
  13. If you eat early, it's not worth any extra since we always get the same table each night. We still get great service from the same waiters and although there aren't any extra dishes prepared each evening we're always satisfied with the regular menu.
  14. In Ft. Lauderdale we always carry all our luggage on with us. We leave it in the cabin until after lunch & muster check in & have them unpacked before 2 PM. I don't know what size scanners they have in Europe but our suit cases are 18 inches wide X 13 inches thick and fit without any problem in Ft. Lauderdale.
  15. It very well might be but you've still paid for 15 drinks + tips even if you didn't order that many. Only if you feel it applies.
  16. Some of the people who are drinking most of the day at home do get a little confused from time to time.
  17. Anything but hot dogs or hamburgers. 😑
  18. Just remember that you've already paid and tipped for 15 drinks whether you order them or not.
  19. I was surprise to find that T-Mobile covers practically all of the Caribbean these days. Not that I need to stay in contact all the time but it's nice to know it's there when and if I want it.
  20. I applied for shareholder OBC on Saturday 6-24-23 for 2 cruises at the end of this year and received it for both of them today. 😀 We're listed as joint owners of our 100 shares of stock, so as of right now it doesn't appear to have need to put the stock in my name only. My DH had previously received his military OBC for each trip also.
