The news a few minutes stated they are boarding the ship. Officials are assessing the damage, and it is unclear on whether there will be delays for the ship's 4 p.m. re-departure for Alaska. While that departure time is still being determined, Princess Cruises says passengers are starting to board at 11:30 a.m.

Royal Class ships and you need to call the Dine Line and tell them you want on the list. It was not as many courses as the CT, but plenty of food, we enjoyed it even more than the CT. IDK if the price went up, as some have reported $140 per person, instead of $40. You will need to ask when you get OB. Would be nice if someone currently OB could advise us the correct price.

Possible, but I haven’t noticed that. Your CVP should be able to answer that by looking at your booking from yesterday. I noticed all the bookings that I wanted for 2024 are also higher today. So much for the sale. Disappointing.

Very good service! Just a warning: Tell him not to enter more than about 5 at a time. I just gave my TA 13 cards and the 10th one showed 0 balance. So she stopped and waited about 5 mins. Then added no 11, 12, 13 and they all worked. So, luckily, I had another GC to give her in place of no 10. She thinks it may need a chance to reset after adding a lot of GC’s, a security measure. And, yes, I checked the balance on all of them before I gave them to the TA. So, I checked the balance myself and it was 0. Called Aarp rewards phone. He said call PCL and they will take care of you. 😝 I said no, they will have no clue what to do and the GC dept. won’t either. So, Aarp took the information and corrected it and by the next day it was reinstated again. So, now it’s good to go! 🤙

Probably 2x on the Royal. As soon as you get to your cabin, call the Dine Line to get on the list. Also, there is the Wine Makers Dinner that is great. Sometimes, they will offer that if there’s not room at the CT. It seems there is a nice mixture of Elites, Suites and yes new cruisers. We had some at the Wine Makers Dinner also. Our 20 night had 2 CT’s.

On the Enchanted in March, we ordered 2 lobsters instead of steak and lobster and we were not charged extra. Maybe they have changed it AGAIN.

There are some threads about carrying feeding tube meals OB. I would first put the special diet on the App for the guest. They suggest you go to the cruise personalizer for the guest, look under food allergies and there is a form to fill out. You send it and then a Rep from PCZl special needs/dietary needs will email you. I would get an okay email from PCL and a letter from their Doctor stating the dietary need to carry the food, so there’s no question. Grand Turk is beautiful. Definitely a beach day. Beaches on both side of the ship coming into the dock. You can walk around a little, a few shops. San Juan is fun too. We always go to Old San Juan, you’re right there. Go to Fort El Morro too, if you haven’t been there. Princess Cays is a laid back beach day, free PCL BBQ on the beach. We like the bungalows that you can rent on the PCL excursions, a little pricey, but convenient. Or just hang out on the beach, have lunch and return to the ship. Yes, they do use tenders to the pier. Not that far, very well organized. We enjoy Caribbean Princess and the crew. We spent 6 weeks on her last year and did not have problems. She’s a smaller ship, has a promenade on deck 7, if you like to walk and had a great time. JMO

Call as soon as you can once in your cabin and ask to get on the list for the Chef’s Table. They will notify you if you are confirmed. The Winemaker’s Dinner is great too. Sometimes if they can’t confirm CT, they will offer WMD. Also, since you’re new to PCL, I think…our favorite is the Ultimate Balcony Dinner, if you have a balcony. Great meal! I just noticed your in NZ. IDK if it’s open to bidding there. But, if you received an invitation to bid, then maybe it is.

Here’s another. I would read the information in 2023 as it’s changed a little. But, also the most up to date is the website. Remember, you could end up any where on the ship. Forward, Aft, over a noisy area, etc. But, you could also end up with a great cabin! So, if you’re not real picky about the cabin location, go for it. Good luck!

There are many threads on bidding for an upgrade on Princess. There is a slide on the bid, so you could bid the minimum or higher on whichever upgrade you are interested, etc. If you win, they will email you and your credit card will be charged. So, read through the upgrade process on the website and some of the threads in the forum are very helpful.

You will see them selling the package, hanging around the piazza area. I would ask, couldn’t hurt.
