  1. The health check, called “wellness check” is on the front page of the APP. It will be the third line…IF it is required. Also, it doesn’t show up until 24 hours before sailing. However, if you don’t show it, 24 hours before, then it’s probably not required and you can answer the questions at the port. You can look up your voyage number on the website using the cruisehealth tool. If there are requirements to board the ship, it should tell you. At least, the last few months this has been the case for us. Out of US ports.
  2. Normally, opens 59 days before sailing. However, it can vary by port as much as 12 days before sailing. Depends on the port clearances. So, I usually start at 59 days before. It doesn’t show the suite in that area, but if you click on your profile picture, it would show your cabin no. You’re good to go with the QR code. Sometimes ghey have asked me if I’m in the green lane or have a QR code. Other times, yhey don’t ask. They really have not been going by boarding groups, but I would still pick one, in case. Suites will have priority boarding with Elites.
  3. One of our best investments, was a packable down. Light weight , hardly any space, once folded, warm, great for cruises in the winter, outside of Florida, of course. If you only go to warm places…not so much.
  4. There is sometimes a white night, usually coincides with the Captain’s welcome party or the champagne waterfall. Sometimes it’s on your travel summary, other times it’s just shown on the Patter, after you board. If it’s a holiday, like St Patrick’s day Or Halloween, some guests dress in a little holiday fare. Lol
  5. Thank goodness! How were these suitcases all damaged?
  6. This one starts on May 6th. Grand roll call:
  7. They gave my DD a pac n play and a flat sheet was used over the mattress, not on the Grand though. IDK if the Grand is the same. You could check a current roll call for the Grand, someone may ask for you. I would suggest taking a couple of sheets for the crib, as it’s safer than a loose sheet, baby may need to take a nap right away and it’s a familiar pattern. Just as you probably will take their fave stuffed animal or blanket! 😴 Welcome to cruise critic!
  8. Get as close to midship and lower deck as possible. We usually don’t have much issues with Caribbean cruises, but of course any weather can happen. If I feel nauseous, I go midship 5 to the IC. I also put on my seabands. (Wrist bands, you can get at pharmacies or Walmart). Helps. Or, laying down helps me too. YMMV
  9. Well, it does include the gratuity, but we do tip additional for the UBD. We gave the tip to the head waiter and asked him to split it with the other 2.
  10. Sounds like a programmatic response, if it changed by 10 mins. If it is now 10 mins later, I’d just show up at the original time. Who knows if it is correct? Screenshot your 1st night reservation on the App. My DMW says guests or travel companions on the App. There are 2 of us. They’re covering all bases. 🙄
  11. Yes you can. Just call RS when you board and tell them the date and time you would like your DBB. They do a nice job for the breakfast. They set it up and then leave. Try the UBD sometime, if you haven’t already. The dinner is superb. The last one we did at Moorea, during the sail away. 3 waiters attended to us for the complete dinner. Fabulous!
  12. Check your credit card. Either they canceled it or plan to, or they are reworking the excursions offered. If you have a TA/CVP, check with them to see of they have been notified.
  13. Maybe the Royal staff was not up to par in Dec yet. Many new employees and short staffed. No excuse, just the facts. Our experiences have been very good the last few months with DMW and not an issue getting a table for 2, which we wanted and booked. We’ve done 12 cruises since the restart. The last one was in March, Enchanted.
  14. Barcelona is doing it too. You have to get your passport stamped. BTW, US ports have been a lot better with the b2b’s than Barcelona was in March. Learning curve maybe. 😮
  15. It WAS required for Barcelona in March. They just started it. Clear the ship and everyone had to get their passport stamped. It was so new to them, it was a mess and they finally cleared the ship. Took us b2b’s over 2 hours of waiting around. We got on just before the new guests embarking. Ft Lauderdale does a very good job of clearing and getting b2b’s back OB. It’s the guests who don’t want to get off that hold us up. 😮
  16. For Europe, we go at least 3 days ahead. Can definitely be airline delays or scheduling issues, especially if you’re connecting. Don’t cut yourself short on a connection. You may find the EZAir prices much better than booking on your own. Check out the EZAir prices on the Princess website. We love to sail from Rome (Civitavecchia) or Barcelona. Love both countries and never tire of exploring them. Pick out the most important destinations that you would love to see and let that be your guide. We like to sightsee every time we go, before and after the cruise if possible. As far as MSC, I’d pick PCL first, based on the reviews of others. (Friends & family) Use your TA, they can help you plan.
  17. Agree with the others, the weekend is the time for many updates and error messages. I tried to book a suite for an interior price once! It disappeared when I went back to book it! 😳
  18. Normally, midship deck 6 MDR 1200-130pm. The crew usually will say go to the Lido buffet. So, some guests may think it’s not open. Only once, has it not been open on a cruise for us. Staff shortage, they said. We didn’t believe them, so we went to check for ourselves.
  19. It’s currently $34 a person. If you booked through a TA/CVP they will need to book it for you. Others have mentioned where to book it on the website if you don’t have TA/CVP.
  20. Any grocery store or liquor store closeby for wine? TIA
