  1. I show: John Padgett President Princess Cruises JPadgett@Carnival.com JSwartz@princesscruises.com
  2. I wouldn’t go by what a phone rep says. I’d recheck the protocol by using your health tool on the website and watching for changes on the travel summary and the website for enhanced voyages. In our recent enhanced voyage over 200 guests were almost denied boarding because they didn’t have the right test at checkin. Luckily, they were tested at the port by the medical team and allowed OB after some very stressful time. Partially, due to a PCL rep and of course it is the passenger’s responsibility to make sure they have the right documents and tests required.
  3. Gross! So since it wasn’t covid, who knows… you don’t want to get her cold/flu or whatever either! Very rude. Always some like that no matter where you go.
  4. Many were playing in the Horizon Court area in the far back where the Planks and Steamers used to be. Check with GS, as they had an area set up for card players on 7. Can’t remember exactly, but did see card players at tables when I walked by. GC maybe? This was on the 28 day South Pacific.
  5. No matter where you book your flights, EZAir or TA or with the airline, you should go to the airline website and add your known traveler numbers. You could go on the Delta website now and enter your numbers and check in with the agent, have them reprint your BP. When you called Delta, they should have entered the numbers for you. Check your flight information, as it may be on there already. You can be rejected at any time, also by the TSA for precheck. At any time.
  6. It’s also IN food. Like salads, etc. Can be spread by just eating, if in the food. Also, utensils in the buffet. So, you have to sanitize your hands after touching those too. Not much you can do if it’s in the food you’re eating.
  7. The way I see it: EZ Air flight or transfers to BCN you should not take a flight before 4 hours and 15 mins from arrival at BCN port. So, after 1215pm. The check in for most International flights is 3 hours before. So, that is cutting it close. Also, getting off at 0830, IF that’s possible, they could run into city traffic, if it’s on a weekday. I, personally would not do it. JMO
  8. You should have about 3000 on the Crown on the Hawaii leg and 65 new crew picked up in San Pedro. I hope they open the third MDR for you. Covid isolation remained on the low side at the end of the cruise, but a lot of heavy coughing going on towards the end of the South Pacific cruise, that just ended Dec 7th. The crew was outstanding! Hope you have a great cruise!
  9. You are correct. The Loyalty desk may have some pull in this. If it were me, I would ask OB.
  10. See if there’s a short cruise b2b before your 14 day. It does state if you become eligible during a cruise, that your next level will start on the following cruise.
  11. Check junk mail. If not there, call or email AARP rewards.
  12. The excursions desk said I had to add them as OBC. Gave up. I just booked the excursions once OB.
  13. Yep. That’s why it’s not available for us.
  14. How did you do it on the PCL website? I tried it a few months ago and gave up.
  15. Not true at all. I used GC’s and paid balance with my CC. Your TA/CVP could do it for you too. The GC’s that you have leftover, you could turn those into OBC.
  16. More fun for the refund department! 😳
  17. At home, yes. But, the cruise line maritime guidelines state, the positive person should isolate and close contact should also IF staying in the same cabin. If the positive person moves into a quarantine cabin, the close contact can remain in the original cabin and free to move about. However, cruise lines can set their own guidelines. Seems ships are varying their protocols.
  18. Really? The Crown PCL medical said you must isolate also if you’re in the same cabin as a covid guest. Usually, the cabin mate ends up positive also within a few days.
  19. Did you add AARP PCL egift cards or regular PCL gift cards? If you added AARP egift cards, how did you do it? TIA
  20. You should be able to use AARP egift cards to pay for your cruise with PCL/TA/CVP. over the phone. However, when you use them precruise, to put OBC onto your account, it is more difficult. I called 3 times and tried to add them for OBC to my cruise, so I could book excursions. It is a difficult transaction for the agents, as 3 different agents had a hard time adding them. They said it was added, didn’t show up, called back and agent tried again, the 3rd time, agent double added it. The last time I got a customer solutions agent and she reinstated it on the account, as it had totally been removed. Make sure you see the gift card added to your account, IF you do it ahead of the cruise. Then, I decided I would only use ahead of time towards payment and if I had any left, I would ONLY take them to the Elite/Suites GS line to be added once OB. They usually have more experience with the cards. I will then purchase my excursion once OB.
  21. The letter is proof, but you still need the FCC’s in your account to use for a future cruise. Do you have to request the FCC’s now through customer relations?
  22. Seriously? Over 5 mos? Did you have to request it when you got off the cruise?
  23. Also, some of the ships do not have a MDR open for lunch now, due to staff shortages.
  24. Yes, you’re right! Op doesn’t say where they’re driving from.
  25. It is illegal on ships. There are dog sniffers at the airports at TSA, baggage department and baggage claim, as well as customs at cruise ports. I’d be leary of taking it. You don’t say which countries you’re visiting or flying to/from. You should also check those. JMO
