That NCL policy is only good now for cruises through 3/31/2022.  Cruises after that date are subject to the current policy.

Just checking for clarification - I thought that the "Piece of Mind" Policy  (cancel for any reason with 48 hours with no penalty - full refund/FCC) EXPIRED on 10/21/2021

(We took advantage of that policy a couple of times in 2020-2021)

We are due to sail on the Breakaway on 1/16/2022 - so you are saying we could cancel now - and ask for full refund/FCC ???

January 16. You can still get tested at the pier for a cost.

We are scheduled to cruise out of New Orleans on the Breakaway on January 16th

ASSUME that we will only be REQUIRED to be tested at the pier prior to embarkation (the last cruise departure date that this will be the rule) - Testing to be done by NCL

For the people that want to know about Oceanview for dinner, I’ve attached pics from tonight.  The chef is from Bombay, so the Indian food is very good.  The pasta tonight was warm, at best.  No ability to make your own pasta.  Plenty of choices for an average dinner.  MDR and specialty are better, we just like the relaxed atmosphere a few nights.  Maybe 50 people in total, some wearing masks, most not.

I wonder what happens if  anyone who receives the wrong 3 day info takes it for fact and presents a 3 day test at the pier?  And so far we have received no info for tests required yet from X and we sail Sept. 26. I just changed our 3 day tests to 2 days yesterday.

Hi - we sail on (Sunday) the 26th also - plan on getting tested on Friday -

before we fly out to Florida on Saturday

Am going to make a couple of different appointments at CVS locations (in case one cancels at the last minute) as well as make an appointment at a local walk-in urgent care clinic

    THAT is an OUTSTANDING excuse!

    WOW !

Just finished reading all of these posts !

We are scheduled to sail on the Sept 26th Equinox - (Sunday departure)

Our plans were to schedule a test at the local CVS pharmacy on Friday - as well as try to do a "walk-in"

test on that same Friday at a local "urgent care" facility as a back-up - since boarding date doesn't "count" those plans still seem to be OK (?)  We fly out from Arizona to Florida on Saturday

Now wondering if we should also order the "home test" also

Multiple testing sites make a lot of sense!

Following along - just a quick question - do you HAVE to get tested right before you board ?

We are thinking of flying into Seattle the same day we board - and already have had our Covid tests done at a CVS Pharmacy just prior to leaving home (like the day before)

Doing that for a Caribbean cruise later (Celebrity just required the "72 hour" test results)

    Thanks

Still following along - have a wonderful trip ! - Looking forward to more pics and info !

(I have already started to pack, and have made appointments at the local CVS for the Covid Tests - even though we don't board the Equinox until the 9/26 sailing) -

    Norma -

I will be posting a Live review for the 9/5 and 9/17 Equinox cruises.    I'll post a bunch of pictures and will try to fill all requests.    I will probably fire it up around Wednesday or Thursday with the per-cruise testing and some of the preliminaries.

We fly out on Saturday out of SFO.

Looking forward to your posts !!!

    Thank You

(we are on the 9/26 Equinox sailing - can't wait !)

Thank you again, for allowing us to follow-along with you

Do you plan to have dinner in the Tuscan Grille anytime during the cruise ?  Would love to get reviews regarding the food there - Italian or Steak ? hmmmm..... which to order ??

Just tested this morning.   Took test at 10:00 am.  Test was resulted at 10:20, and CVS called me with the results at 10:31.   Didn’t realize it was them, as it came from a number in Providence , Rhode Island, which I didn’t recognize.

I called them, back and woman answered immediately, verbally gave me the results, then stated that a text with a link would arrive shortly, and from there I could create a PDF.  Also, I had to establish a MyChart acct immediately after sample was given.

I sent the PDF to my files and also copied the link into an email and sent it to myself.

    Very simple process.

THANK YOU ! - For this very clear, informative post !

I figured it was going to be extended, so I too have been looking around for test before our cruise on the 17th.

We received a phone call today from Celebrity (we sail on the Equinox on September 26th)

She asked if we had been vaccinated (yes - we both had had both shots) and she advised us to be sure and bring a negative Covid test     She did mention the "3- day" rule

We have marked our calendar to make appointments at CVS on the Friday before we fly out to Ft Lauderdale on Saturday, to board on Sunday, the 26th

Does anyone know if there is somewhere on our Reservation on the Celebrity web-site where we can see that they have recorded the fact that we have been vaccinated ?

  13. Thanks, everyone -😀

it was the airlines that changed our flight time - just called them and told them that the earlier departure would NOT work for us, and they agreed to change us to a (much) later flight (3:40 PM)

Now - does anyone know if Celebrity still offers some kind of bus service (without the tour of the area first) to the MIA airport ? - Sorry to be such a bother - but can't seem to find that information on the Celebrity website

  14. Excitedly looking forward to sailing again (12 day Celebrity Equinox R/T Ft. Lauderdale)

Need to decide best way to go, for a transfer at end of cruise from the Ft. Lauderdale cruise-port to the MIA airport.

Haven't sailed out of Fr. Lauderdale lately (obviously!) - last time the taxi's waiting at the cruise port were all the small vehicle type - we are a couple of "senior" citizens, slow on our feet - DH has trouble getting in and out of anything smaller than an SUV size vehicle.

Does anyone know if they know have the larger, van type taxis ready and waiting at the cruise port when you disembark ?

Really don't care for Uber or Lyft

Should we book a private shuttle to take us to the airport ? - Any recommendations ?

(We actually would be happy to take the cruise-shop sponsored bus - but timing won't work this trip (flight out of MIA departs at 11:00 AM)

    Thanks

Although we are not sailing until late November I am curious how it might be for me under the current requirements for testing.  We embark on 11/20 but flying into FLL on 11/18.  If I get tested on 11/17 at CVS at home will I get result in time and how does one get the result? We are "old school" and in the past we called for result and waited to get our result on our home computer.  If the test and  result is immediate could we get it when we arrive in FLL?

    I am stressed already.

We sail on the Equinox on September 26

    Certainly NOT stressing

Currently Celebrity is saying that a Negative Covid-Test result is REQUIRED for cruises departing August 6th - September 6th - waiting to see what happens after September 6th !!

  16. Haven't sailed Celebrity for several years (and, obviously, not post-covid !)

We signed up for the earliest time that showed available (12:30-1:00) to Board

We are in a Sky Suite (love those corner aft suites !)

Wondering - don't "suite amenities" include check-in when we arrive ?  (within reason, of course)

Thanks to anyone who can respond with recent experience

(Would love to be able to board in time to enjoy Luminaire for lunch on embarkation day) - but certainly not a deal breaker (so happy to be able to cruise again in  42 days  (Equinox - 12-Night Caribbean)   😁
