Mini-suites are REALLY different from Suites - really no special amenities - just a little more room

Though I liked the idea of bite sized ,the original biscuit sized scones still offered on the Equinox were warm adding to their appeal. Thank you so much for these posts - glad to hear that Covid tests are no longer going to be required if you have proof of vaccinations

Can you further explain the tracer wrist bands ? - Are they for everyone ?

There is no place to enter you vaccine status online.   On some prior sailings they have been calling to inquire about your status.   Other than that if you are to be considered fully vaccinated you must produce your original (no copies) CDC card at the port where they will take a picture of it.

Have completed the on-line check-in - and didn't see a place for us to enter our vaccine status - is that done later, when we enter our Medical Info (24 hour prior to boarding ? - or did it miss it somewhere else ??

FYI - I just checked with Celebrity - we would be able to take the cruise-line provided (for a cost, of course) if the flight left just 10 minutes later (12 noon) 

So we are going with the 11:50 Flight

Yes - have TSA pre-Check - First Class Travel

Plan B would be to sit at the airport in the Lounge for 4 hours (!)

We are excitedly looking forward to FINALLY cruising again - on the Equinox -

Sept 26-Oct 8 

Hoping to be able to hire private shuttle (don't like to take smallish taxi's or Ubers - difficult for "hefty" seniors to get in and out of) from the FLL Cruise=port to catch an 11:50 AM flight out of MIA home

Any RECENT experiences on disembarkations in FLL ?

Looking for transportation from Ft. Lauderdale cruise-port to MIA when we disembark from the Celebrity Equinox in early October

Using the "taxis" at the cruise-port are smaller - not really good for a "heafty" senior citizen to get in and out of easily

Can some one recommend some sort of private transportation where a larger (SUV ?) vehicle would be available ?

Wanted to purchase a "spa pass" for the entire cruise - but can't seem to find if that is doable in advance, on-line (realize it might still be too early ??

A while ago the "restrictions" included cruises from USA ports be limited to 7 days - anyone hear any updates on that part ??

We got the 10% discount - and already used it for a future booking - we were able to really "upgrade" to an awesome suite - sure hope that we actually get to sail !! (November 2022)

We are tryin to decide if we should cancel prior to final payment date (we would be "paying" for the cruise using FCC's "earned" when our Caribbean cruise - September 2020 was cancelled)

Oh - this terrible Covid....was so hoping that by September things would be back to "normal" - but you are right - probably need longer time to disembark

Personally, I would take 7 first, then 4. Have been in 7 and 4, and have 7 booked on Kdam for 2022. Don't have any knowledge of 6 and 8, although have 6 booked for N. Statendam in 2022. Avoid 5...rooms a bit smaller, particularly if splitting the bed and deck is smaller as well.

Love aft suites with great balconies.

We are not familiar with HAL Suite Balconies and various sizes of the balconies from deck to deck.

Looking to book a short, round-trip itinerary out of San Diego as soon as we can sail again ! 

Can someone advise which deck (4, 5, 6, 7 8, ??) on the Koningsdam they would recommend ?

The major issue we had with the Family Suite was the step up into the bathroom. You can see it in the photos posted above. It will likely cause you issues at least once on the cruise. We loved the size of this cabin for two people. It was great. The balcony was also large and we did use that some -- we only had one sea day on that cruise, so we didn't have a lot of down time.

 

The second time we were on the Dawn, we chose the DOS with two bedrooms because our friend was traveling with us. We did miss the balcony some, but we had great forward-facing views. If you are already wiling to be without a balcony, you might want to check the prices on these. We got a good deal on our suite because it didn't have a balcony. Even though we had the drink package, it was nice to have the bottles of alcohol and all the mixers in our cabin.

 

While we don't spend a ton of time on the balcony I would always prefer to have one. The Family Suites/DOS are good alternatives because they offer great views and you don't feel enclosed.

The only suites that are not SOLD OUT (still) at this time are the Family Suites -(SP) 

but I will keep looking !
