According to another cruise website it is sold out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was. About a year ago I priced this out and it was very high. Just for giggles I would check from time to time and it never went down and it appeared to be heavily booked. It turned out for the best because of a recent change I never would have been able to be gone this long.

I’d rather pay for a covid test than run from place to place but I guess if you aren’t working it’s easier and you have lots of time to do things like that. Looking forward to reading all about the cruise. I’d love to do it some day.

The food comes from the mdr at night except the daily special. The food is cooked in there in the morning. The food is hot which is important to me.

I would give up on it as well. No one should have to drive to the USA. It’s ridiculous to suggest that. That’s not what is signed up for 10 years ago. I can’t understand why this just can’t be renewed like a passport. Clearly it’s a make work project for government workers. As long as you aren’t doing anything to jeopardize your nexus it should just be rubber stamped.

Thanks for the info. I did not get an email after I applied. It didn’t go to my junk mail. Nothing but junk in there. So much for the 2 year grace period.

Time is a problem. I don't have free time for a drive to the USA. I think those that have been retired for a while don't get it or maybe had several months off a year for vacation. Thats not reality for most people. I shouldn't have to drive to the USA to get it ii really don't care if everything else is only available for 5 years. We've never had a pandemic of this level. Let's just keep everything the same because that's working. Please don't state the obvious. I realize only I can decide if it's worth it. I wasn't asking for imput on that.

Mine doesn’t have any dates on it either that why I asked the question yesterday. Not everyone is retired with all the free time in the world to go on a road trip. I am not close to a border either. It would be nice if it was good for 10 years. I don’t understand the whole need to be investigated again or have an in person meeting because your drivers license changed or you changed employers. Does doing that make you a criminal worthy of an investigation? I don’t need to hear they can do it because they can. When you are backed up 300,000 applications maybe some changes are in order.

I don't think I've ever had pasta there so I wouldn't know. I usually do the fish because I feel hal does fish really well for the most part. I do have osso bucco special from time to time and that is large.

Yes some of the portions are large but not all. I’ve had fish many times and that is not a huge portion. I eat pretty sensibly during the day. When I hear of the burgers, fries, cookies and sweets that people eat during the day I don’t know how anyone can eat supper after that. I don’t eat like that so tend to have bigger meals at dinner.

I had the same experience. These are a waste of money for me personally. I’m not speaking for others.

My cabin stewards did this on the koningsdam in November 2021. One night I came “home” and the legs were sticking out of the toilet seat that was down. That scared the heck out of me. I prefer the cute ones myself.

I know, that’s the trade off. I’m not terribly picky about my cabin as long as it’s not over a loud bar/space I’m pretty ok. Hal should not treat people this way when the specifically pick a refundable fare.

I agree. I check often. That said hal tried to tell me I couldn’t refare because I have club orange and I’d already had one reduction. This is a fully refundable fare before final. They did me a “favor” 🙄and let me have it. I won’t be buying club orange before final again.

For some reason hal seems to delay the ability of booking of specialty restaurants on cruises going into the new year.

It’s been my experience that hal starts with very high fares out of the gate and they lower them over time. I’m not talking once a year itineraries, world cruises or very long cruises. I’ve never gotten an amazing fare right out of the gate.

Does anyone know if the expiry on the nexus card will be extended? My card expires at the end of the year. I submitted my application as soon as I could at the start of July. No news yet. Thanks.

When you click in through an email it’s been my experience that the website recognizes you if you tend to log in from a recognized device. I log in 90 percent of the time anyway if not more.

I’m having the very same problem. I’ve gone all the way into booking looking for it. It’s not showing. Like you I can see it on another travel site.

Looking forward to hearing about it. This is definitely a cruise I’m interested in.
