That’s ridiculous. This is a pay extra restaurant and on top of it they now want to charge for an extra appetizer. So classy. Even more funny are those that think paying extra on top of it is warranted. So not my problem if they can’t get it together before 7. Don’t take so many reservations or change your promos. I refused to pick pinnacle for my 5 star freebies or the hia promo. I’d rather go to Canaletto where the servers don’t act like hal found them walking down the street.

That’s they catch all for everything hal has done away with or doesn’t do. It’s a “supply issue”. I wish I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard that little gem 😛.

Yeah the breakfast isn’t what I’d call good there. I had it in November 2021 and that was enough. I went to Starbucks in March and I’m not a fan of it either. There were people everywhere at that buffet and it was very basic. I’d rather pay for something and get something decent. There is a nice seating area that faces the port. I want to say it’s on 4 but it many not be. It’s on the same level as the pool. Much nicer than the lobby. I did manage to get my luggage over by myself but it was a bit of a challenge. I do have knee issues. People disagreed with me and said it was easy. I’m not sure how people can make the determination for others when they don’t know the person.

And this is what gets my nose out of joint. Hal seems to show every day how little they appreciate loyalty. I don’t want to hear that they don’t have to do anything to keep me there. I’m not afraid to go elsewhere and I have. It’s a bad mistake for anyone to think they have me in the bag. It a mistake a few have made to their detriment.

Are you able to give numbers for yesterdays cruise and preliminary numbers for next week? Thanksgiving looks to be fully booked. It looks like these cruises are selling really well. I think they should more another pinnacle ship to the west coast to do 10 day cruises.

Thank you for the information. That's the problem with so many people telling others to show up whenever they feel like it. That said I usually hear about that for fort Lauderdale.

I think it’s pretty clear they don’t value long term customers from the threads I see. I’m a 5 star so I get it. I’m a rule follower so I wouldn’t show up until the later time. People on this thread that actually work at this port are saying they will be checking boarding times. It’s not a free for all like it is in Florida.

I went to the pinnacle one night and there were two lovely ladies next to me. I really enjoyed talking to them. Maybe a half hour later 2 world cruisers were sat on the right of me. I recognized their names from a thread on cruise critic that they were mentioned on. We all got to chatting. It was one of the most enjoyable dinners I’ve had in recent times. Also meet a lot of people in the cabanas. I met some fellow Canadians on my last cruise from the next province over that I looked forward to talking to daily.

At the start of the pandemic the grocery stores were cleaned out where I live. That was because people got panicked and bought way more than they should have and some shady people were buying things to sell at a premium. As it went along there were shortages here and there. Now it’s pretty easy to get everything I want. Shelves are well stocked in the part of Canada I live in. I still find it hard to believe that a company the size of carnival corporation struggles so much still.

I manage to meet plenty of people just randomly. Don’t need to dine with others to meet people.

Actually it’s not me that is in Florida. I’d love to be somewhere warm. I was just thanking the poster that is there.

True that! The service and lack of professionalism was so bad last time I was on the koningsdam I refused to go back. I almost always tip even when it’s not warranted but no way was I going to reward that.

There should be no reason the beverage package is not honoured at the pinnacle unless you tried to order a bottle of wine or a really expensive drink. The 18 percent will not be billed to your room. I bring money with me.

Wow, just wow. I live in Canada and I’m well aware of the hotspot your city has become. I’ve been asked some pretty stupid questions as well. This is exactly why I eat mostly at specialty restaurants.

Yikes! I would not leave either of those things behind but maybe that comes from living in the big city. I’d probably leave the napkin on the chair back.

I tipped the chair towards the table once and the steward told me not to do it. I told him why and he said he understood that I was coming back. Luckily my table wasn’t taken over when I got back.

If you like lobster you should go for that. I used to have the fresh fish which is outstanding but once I tried the lobster that was it. Its nothing like the MDR lobster when they used to have it.

I think it's a giveaway when people say they don't gamble that's its not a casino offer 😉. From the many, many threads about this there are casino offers and there are free cruise offers. Maybe all you have to do is walk by the casino.

There is more foot traffic by the cabanas from 1-7. I've been on that side before. I feel the other side is better from that perspective.

Jealous of your ability to get ready for a cruise so quick! The NS is my favorite ship. If you are so motivated Sel de mer is just excellent. I love all the pinnacle ships.
