More people in a confined space. I know some people have had Covid multiple times. I have not had it to my knowledge. It would be nice to keep it that way but I doubt that will happen. It’s good for cruise lines to have paying customers. It would be interesting to see how much extra revenue is coming from people on a free cruise vs those that paid rack rate. There is a lot of chatter on cruise critic about spending. I notice many people that say they are on casino rates saying they don’t do extra spending. They want an upgrade from an inside to a balcony for next to nothing. Then they make comments about those of us that choose club orange that are not nice. Obviously not everyone fits into certain molds. I’m sure there are plenty of people that pay rack rate that don’t spend a cent more.
We are talking hal here. They’ve been “working on” getting Mariners discounts for pre bookings for years and years. I’ll believe it when I see it. If they rely on wifi it will never happen. I can imagine land use is easier then sea use. Are any of the other cruise lines using them?
You are more than welcome to expect that. What you can’t expect is for them to live up to something they no longer have as a slogan. I think you are looking to be disappointed. You’ve mentioned many, many times how they weren’t living up to it pre pandemic. Things haven’t gotten better in that time.
Where do people get such ideas? I get tired of people having their chair in my lap. Also the way my knees are being crunched up in economy is excruciating. Not once have I been drinking champagne snd looking down my nose.
Did they promise they would get you there? I see nothing in my documents that say that. Can you tell me where to look? Sounds like you'd be happier on Carnival.
Hey I'm old and I cover my mouth. I wear a mask a lot. It comes down to manners and covering your mouth. Clearly a lot of people don't care. I see way more people not covering their mouth than I see covering. This is why I lay low on a cruise, but I prefer it as well.
$25 is the price per person. I always think it's better to quote a price that way or some get confused. Apparently its cheaper $15 maybe after 14 days. I've done a few B2B adding up to the 14 days and I still pay $25 USD (around $33 cdn) for it.
I don’t know if this is appealing to the op at all but you could buy club orange. It’s $25 a day but allows you to pick your cabin immediately plus you get the lovely club orange dining room. You get to pick the highest available cabin within your category so that’s nice.
That’s definitely the first time I’ve heard that and totally goes against what they say. Was there anything else at play like a big price reduction since the time you booked? Thanks.
Yes, definitely take the proof. I don’t get the whole not secure thing about email. Fax is no better in my mind. Whatever works for a person. Are they still cautioning that? I have heard that excuse for ages. I know people use the financial institutions using it excuse. Where I live a lot of places are using docusign and guess what? It’s through email 😛.
It does vary. Usually you get assigned about 10 days out. I could be earlier, could be later. You might hear that your cabin number will appear on your luggage tags first. That is 100 percent false. That used to be the case. Your number will appear on all your documents at the same time. No telling what you might get. I do feel they try to keep you in the same cabin for both.
You were very lucky. I’ve followed threads of the person on the voyage of the Vikings which was a 24 cruise and he also did a 35 day cruise. Both with hefty price tags. No lobster on either.
