  1. I grew up dirt poor. This would have been amazing. 4 adults in a room no way. 2 adults and 2 kids I think is doable.
  2. No biggie. It was nice of you to clarify. I find when some people make a mistake not only do they not apologize but they justify it by making up things.
  3. It’s new. With a lot of people that have the have it all package it’s of no enticement. It for one type of drink that has no appeal to me. I’m not a fan of super sweet drinks.
  4. Well I guess it's changed on the last few years. I only had to go through security. I'm a Canadian citizen.
  5. Club orange is not open for lunch unfortunately. The food in the MDR is much like any other cruise line. It's not gourmet although I'm sure someone will argue that point.
  6. People go on and on about the pizza on Princess. It must have improved on ton since the last time I sailed with them. It was not good.
  7. I’m not a smoothie person really but once in a blue moon I may have one. I get totally disappointed when they taste like a slurpee. I don’t get why people like them 🤮.
  8. I think people that potentially have an alcohol problem are going to be the only ones that do that. I have had the hia package on a few cruises and I maybe have 5 a day including perrier, coffee and alcohol. I can go months without having a drink at home.
  9. I've given you the link twice myself in the last couple days
  10. I think most people know that it not ny pizza. Again, which frozen pizza tastes like that? To me just because you don’t like it you “think” that’s what frozen pizza taste like. I can assure you that as someone that actually eats frozen pizza on occasion it doesn’t taste like that.
  11. Unfortunately there are way more hal ships in the Caribbean so I guess they figure they can price the west coast sailings really high. I'd love to do the longer sailings on the west coast but they never work with my work schedule. I wish they'd get rid of the zaandam to the Caribbean and bring the nieuw statendam or Rotterdam to the west coast to join the koningsdam.
  12. You have thst right. While I find them ok going in one was just nasty going out. I had to go for covid testing to return to Canada in March. It was in the terminal. I had to lift my luggage up to put it through the scanner. Why I have no idea. No help whatsoever. After my test the rude woman kept screaming at me to leave and telling me I was going the wrong way. It wasn't like I was dogging it. There us no reason to treat people that way.
  13. I agree with you 100 percent. That’s what my plan always is. I’m definitely a loner so it works out well anyway 😛. I do tend to meet a fair amount of people in the cabanas which I like as they are outside. I do have a question and feel free to not answer but have you had Covid at all? I haven’t that I know of and I feel it’s just a matter of time before my luck runs out. Unfortunately I am forced to be in close proximity to people that I work with at least once a month for hours on end. Tha doesn’t thrill me.
  14. I just read the wcb thread. They are on the zuiderdam in Fiji. They just brought on a bouquet of flowers on the ship with no problems. I would not be a happy camper. If hal is going to do these one off policies (even on the same ship) don’t disrespect people by saying it’s fleet wide.
  15. I agree with the posters that say longer cruises generally have more activity. I have found that cruises in December before Christmas are usually lighter in demand. I’m speaking of 7 day cruises. Cruise critic is a small volume of people that actually cruise.
  16. I hope that’s true for the sake of all cruise lines. I spent a lot before the pandemic and I spend a lot now.
  17. I think it depends on where you are. Fort Lauderdale doesn’t seem to care from what I hear. San Diego can be more particular. Every hotel that I’ve stayed in has that time for a check out so everyone that stays in a hotel has the same dilemma. I ask the bell person/desk if I can store my bag and it’s never a problem. In my experience you can still use the hotel facilities no problem.
  18. Do you test people before they get on the bus? While there might be less of a chance with less people, I wouldn’t say the chance is zero.
  19. Wow, that really grasping at straws. Some of us are still working and have to plan around times we need to be at work so therefore have to book early. I’ve had a couple of price reductions before final payment on refundable fares. Why wouldn’t I take advantage? I’m not a trust fund baby and didn’t grow up with money so I watch what I do have. I can assure you my cruises are far from free. If there wasn’t a constant barrage of threads about free cruises there wouldn’t be people complaining about them. Just as people that endlessly brag about them I see it fair game to make comments about them. When I do that I get jumped all over by the some of the same people.
  20. Maybe some. There have been plenty of stories of people saying they spend the bare minimum in the casino and still get casino offers. There have also been threads were people that don’t spend any time in the casino getting free cruises. One was complaining that they still had to pay the port charge and crew incentive. With a comment like that I’m willing to bet they won’t be money makers.
  21. The problem with that is if it’s like it used to be it’s self serve. Speaking only for myself I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole.
  22. The ny pizza is not like frozen pizza. If any frozen pizza tastes like that I would like to buy the brand.
  23. Good point. I think that can be said for a lot of things. When people mention a situation and how hal handled it 10 years ago it may not be relevant whatsoever. Back to the shorex comment I did a shorex before the shutdown and I loved it. That rarely happens for me. They have changed the location to way out of town I assume to provide more space. I’ve been reluctant to book it since because the ride there doesn’t sound appealing.
