  1. Any shirt with a collar meets the dress code for inside the ship after 6PM. If you wish to walk the outer decks or hang by the pool and have a drink, you can wear whatever you want. I often hang in a lounger on an upper deck with a drink and watch the stars wearing shorts.
  2. The spa and shops have dropped in quality and risen in cost over the past couple of years. ALWAYS make sure you know the price of something before taking a seat in the spa or you might be surprised at the bill.
  3. Luggage Free Are there any restricted items I cannot send? No restricted commodities are permitted in your shipment. This includes: Alcoholic beverages, medicinal or toilet articles including aerosols such as hair sprays, perfumes, colognes, and medicines containing alcohol. Consumer electronic devices containing lithium or lithium-ion cells or batteries (e.g., calculators, cell phones, laptop computers, etc.) Perishables, including food, foodstuffs, and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental controls, plants, pharmaceuticals. Tobacco, cigarettes, tobacco products. Anything you would not carry or check on a passenger plane. This includes, but is not limited to explosives, fireworks and ammunition. Certain countries have restrictions on what items are allowed through customs. Please contact a Luggage Free representative to find out if there are any specific restrictions that apply to your international shipment.
  4. They should both have exactly the same rules - I use both for clients - they both used Fedex or DHL and that is where the restrictions come from. Other than that - they just send a minimum wage employee to your house and then the bags go to the shipper. I've found that country-specific rules change all the time and those changes will be picked up by both companies. When I ship my personal bags to Regent, I always use Luggage Free.
  5. It is definitely getting Starlink and the others will follow quickly behind it.
  6. Luggage Free is just as good and I find them easier to work with. Regent simply recommends whichever company bids highest for their marketing agreement.
  7. We were given glasses if we did not want to drink the wine.
  8. Why is this a forced hotel? You can stay at another if you prefer.
  9. I think Regent is now blocking off ship emails to ship email addresses unless they come from in house.
  10. During the first few days, they suggest a red and a white. Both meet Regent standards or they wouldn't be served but they might also be something there is a lot of on board. Ask for the wine list and ask for a taste of whatever looks good. Then you all know what you like.
  11. It is up to the TA what they book or don't book. Hotels, rental cars, etc. aren't worth the commission unless you choose to do it because your value the relationship with your client. About 3% of my income comes from being a TA but I only book for a handful of clients who have very unique needs and wants....so I book anything they want as my relationship with them is not TA based but more encompassing. So the short answer is.....I am certain your TA would be very happy to make this booking for you.
  12. Perhaps you left the ship with a refundable OBC still on your account?
  13. The drydocks dates are always said to be Subject to change but with increased headwinds from 15% higher projected fuel costs and higher interest rat costs on debt servicing, I would be surprised (and also happy) to see to an accelerated schedule.
  14. Correct. If you buy the starting point and the ending point of the transfer from Regent - they provide the transfer. As you bought your flight directly, you are responsible for the transfer to the hotel. But as you bought the hotel and the cruise from Regent, they transfer you.
  15. Especially when Mariner is set to run two more WCs before her next drydock...
  16. This is consistent with what I heard from guests and crew...maybe with a little time she will get up to speed. However, not being prepared for the WC guests would definitely annoy most guests I know.
  17. I've heard this as well....do think think the lack or courtesy and respect was for a specific reason? I wasn't there and I only know what I heard. I would be interested to see what your thoughts were on the subject. Was she responsive and forthcoming answering the hard questions she was given?
