  1. That crew member will be subjected to abuse by entitled passengers...I wouldn't wish that job on my worst enemy.
  2. Don't give up on the shorter cruises - they can be a lot of fun and the situation described above is not typical.
  3. They can put a lounger on your balcony if you like....or they used to do this.
  4. It doesn't matter where you go, as long as you are back in time. We will see how this plays out...

  6. I apology if my thinking was unclear (it happens). You , or the crew, see a passenger on board on the time but they are not at the top SSS gatherings. That's the big giveaway, IMO. Not me, I've never taken a discounted cruise...ever.
  7. You can do CR in 45 minutes if you tell them up front.
  8. I get your point but that is three ADULTS misbehaving, not two children.
  9. I can only tell you that you only get SSS nights if you pay regular prices...
  10. One way to tell who is travelling as a TA is that they don't earn SSS nights for doing so.
  11. The same could be said about some adult Regent passengers. I have seen horrific examples of behavior over the years. The kids are, by a wide margin, better behaved.
  12. Love to see kids on board - family first!!!!!
  13. That is a gross generalization on both fronts. I know TA's who literally rip off clients and couldn't care less about anything but money and I know Regent Reps who go above and beyond. The problem with generalizations is that they are almost never true.
  14. To be fair, the vast majority of them are as knowledgeable (if not more so) than a decent travel agent. Its a safe bet to use one...there may just be cheaper ways to go and some people are looking for that.
  15. Nope - it has been slower than molasses since I first visited it in 2015.
  16. I love HAL, but I also Like Navigator over Splendor so I am a little weird.
  17. Note that the vast majority of miles sailed are within those coverage areas...and some are intentionally blacked out (Cuba, etc.). It will get better and if Regent doesn't want to buy more bandwidth maybe this is why they are going to shift to Starlink.
  18. I was replying to your quote that said " Elon does not have the new Laser linked satellites in place yet." Regent will probably announce soon the addition of Starlink. My Starlink has doubled in bandwidth since I first got it about 9 months ago - it was horrible oversold and having to divert resources to support the Ukraine (although a good use) doesn't help.
  19. That link is still there in post #63 - CC would not let me post a link to an article show that Starlink has been in use on RCL since September so I deleted that one.
