    I'd be interested to know the vibe for the Captain's welcome aboard formal night. The wife loves dressing up regardless of the suggested dress code so it's not an issue for us how others choose to dress.

    I hope for our August cruise they make the second sitting 8.15 pm, as 7.30 pm is a bit too early for us during the long summer days.

    Interesting to see tablecloths only on decks 6 and 7 in the MDR. We won't therefore go dining on Deck 8 in the evenings. Too casual for the wife!

    I’d be interested to know how the Crooners bar compares with the Grand and Royal class ships. I’m hoping it’s more like the Grand ones!

    Hi Niftrip Thank you for using some of your precious vacation time on this thread. I’m keen to know if the Peroni beer they sell are the blue labelled bottles/cans rather than the red ones.

    Fair point WonderMan3. I'm just interested in the new ship. @Ken the cruiser always does amazing live threads and never includes pic's of food.

    Give it a few months and those light poles will diminish. Passengers are bound to knock them over or reverse into them on their mobility scooters 😂

    So relieved to see that the Sea View Terrace & Bar isn't included as I will be using it most days.

    I'll continue to wear a tux' on future cruises. I took four on our 14 nighter two years ago! They are all slim fit and weigh less than a few pairs of jeans.

    We really enjoyed the Regal sanctuary two years ago on port days when we had no desire to get off the ship. I doubt we will bother on the Sun this August as the Sea View terrace & bar looks very appealing and costs nothing. Just have to hope it's quiet on the days we dock in Athens, Naples and Messina.

    So glad my DB cabin is not far away from the Sea View Terrace & bar, and two floors below. I'll just tell the wife this area is the renamed Sanctuary on the Sun and save myself a fortune 😂

    That was actually the only place I liked on Allure of the Seas. Everywhere else was awful.

    A passenger who brought on board their own pallet of bottled water perhaps, with loose tops!

    This is a venue I will definitely avoid. If I want to go to a pub and listen to pub singers I can do that here in the UK any day of the week!

    I reckon there will be some unhappy passengers in the Sanctuary with kids whizzing around constantly on the high wire above them on deck 19 😂

    Deck 17 is just awful. Reminds me of Celebrity Solstice class ships with their aircraft carrier looking overhang!
