  1. Same. I had an aft balcony in December (9290) no soot. I was specifically looking for it too because of various reports here so I guess YMMV.
  2. Ha! This is me too, but I decided on last business day before due date (I can't let my paranoia completely take over my life!)
  3. All 3 requests were filled on 01/16 so 11 days. All 3 requests were confirmed with an email. The request for 04/23 was the only one that generated an updated amenity statement.
  4. I've done it. Fabulous - one of those places that makes you proud to be an American. There's ALOT of stuff there. If you like to go through all the buildings (like I do) pick what's most interesting and plan to go back, you simply cannot do it all. Hard to say how the time factor stresses individual people. I went as part of an excursion during my cruise so even with a full day, you can't do it all. If you decide to go definitely check out Artemis. Awesome!
  5. I submitted 3 requests for 04/23, 11/23 and 11/23 on January 5th. I will keep an eye out and hopefully be able to provide a data point or two...
  6. Yep, it's the Spirit. I will just plan on spending the points for that one since I've been price watching on that one since April 2022. There was no significant price drop. I will monitor again for April 2023, but pretty sure those points will be spent. Thanks for the info!
  7. Thanks for the info, I've got two scenarios... 1. April 2023 I have bid for an upgrade from Inside to Balcony - I'd hate to use points if I can upgrade for $200, but I probably won't know until a few days prior to the cruise 2. April 2024 - I'll keep watching for price drops, but I don't expect to be able to afford to bid and I think I might want to be a little pickier than usual for my cabin since it is Hawaii to Alaska.
  8. Does anyone know if there is a timeframe/deadline in advance of the cruise when this can be done?
  9. I have found DocHub is easiest for me, but I am sure Adobe would work just fine.
  10. A wet signature is not required. I have e-signed each of my last 5 submissions.
  11. This was also my experience. Bliss 02/22 and Getaway 09/22 two at a time was no problem. Epic 12/22 one at a time OR bring 2nd key card that had the Starbucks perk.
  12. When I sailed 02/22 on the Bliss it was available at every bar where I tried to get it. When I sailed 09/22 (Getaway) and 12/22 (Epic) both times I ended up checking with the Beverage Manager, each stated that the new policy for Veuve was "restaurant bars" only. While annoying, I was able to get it at each of those bars.
  13. On the Epic two weeks ago. They put the stickers on AND gave you an access card while they held your key card until you finished in the spa.
  14. Whuuuut? I have never heard of this nor experienced this (I only have 1 cruise as Platinum so far where this would have applied) How does one utilize this perk? Cabin stewards are aware of this? I only saw one certificate even though my cruise was 15 days. I have heard of others simply writing Platinum on the bag certificate included or not, but I wasn't aware it would be allowed every 7 days. This would be so awesome, and I totally get if it is a YMMV situation, simply trying to get the details. Also, just to make sure I'm understanding is this per person or per cabin as I travel solo and I'm just trying to manage my expectations. If I could pack 1/2 the clothes I would be a truly happier person. Actually, I might just start doing that anyway. Get my 1 free bag and if it's not allowed pay the $30 for the second bag anyway. Thanks in advance!
  15. Hola! I have a question about upgrading with points. When upgrading do you get the perks associated with the room type? For instance upgrading from Inside to Balcony on a 20-day cruise...would I get 3 specialty dining vs. 2? Not a huge deal, just trying to figure out what I should expect with a points upgrade. Thanks in advance!
  16. As previously stated "we do like it to be good" is subjective. I find the brew to be pretty weak, so for what it's worth from a coffee snob that purchases the Premium Plus plan that does *not* care for Starbucks coffee (I do like some of the blended drinks!) I bring my own creamer when I dine for breakfast in the MDR. This generates lots of questions from the wait staff (who knew they weren't allowed to have "milk based" products in their cabins?) which in turn led me to state that I prefer strongly brewed coffee which led the dining room manager to brew a special batch just for me from day 2 through the end of my cruise. This was on both the Bliss and the Getaway. I do typically arrive within the first 1/2 hour the MDR is open because I'm an early bird. YMMV p.s. the creamer I use is not milk based, but does not have to be refrigerated until it has been opened. Yes, there is a spa, I do not believe I've been able to purchase spa passes until around the time of final payment. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows the exact policy. I know the cost varies by ship and length of cruise. I am planning my first trip on the Sun in April/23 so looking forward to any responses about that exact spa experience.
  17. Very good question. Hopefully someone will answer soon.
  18. I had no problem ordering 2 drinks at a time both in Feb/2022/Bliss and Sep/2022/Getaway.
  19. And there went the coffee all over the keyboard! I can't decide which is my favorite part "ran to my suite" OR "my wife just rolled her eyes". At any rate - Hilarious. Us planners all just want a little appreciation. 😁
  20. Slowly raising my hand as a member of the over prepared club.... what a thoughtful well put together assessment. Gary you are the bestest from a planning perspective. I enthusiastically follow your posts because I know you are trying to provide insights for the masses. Budget restrictions also prevent me from "currently" experiencing the Haven (never say never!), but I am very content with the suggestions that improve my vacation and trying Premium Plus was definitely part of that. So, thank you for your continued efforts to improve any potential aspect for us and I'll be wishing you smooth seas on your future cruises.
  21. Can I just say how jealous I am that you have a F&F group chat related to cruising. How awesome!

  23. I used it. I found the spa credit very much worth it. I would only pay for this on a port intensive cruise otherwise the associated perks are not worth much to me.
