  1. If your stateroom has not been assigned your MSC travel documents will not be available. Regarding any government travel documents, you would need to give more details on your specific sailing. You might try also posting in the South American forum. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/47-south-america/ ETA: It's unclear whether you're saying you booked on the Brazilian website or your sailing is in Brazil.
  2. I can't remember but somewhere I've heard it happened; the one part of the terms that bothers me is they can delay giving the benefits of Aurea and YC for up to 96 hours after the bid is accepted. I wouldn't want to win a last minute bid on a short cruise. 21. If the Guest wins an Upgrade to an "Aurea" or "Yacht Club" experience cabin, the original booked experience "Bella" or "Fantastica" will be guaranteed, and new experience “Aurea” or “Yacht Club” will be added to the reservation. All the benefits related to the "Aurea" or "Yacht Club" experience will be granted. The new experience will be provided within 96 hours from the cabin upgrade.
  3. 'I don't have to price to fill, and I won't,' Ungerer insisted. "Market to fill" worked for DelRio, at least for his salary.
  4. It's very rare to tender at the other two.
  5. I've not done any of these. Grand Cayman is a tender port so there's a better chance of missing it or getting ashore late if you don't have priority tendering, but most excursion companies have a pretty liberal cancellation policy in the case of the ship missing the port. On the return side, none of them would survive long if they made a cruise passenger miss the ship. Look at their reviews on TripAdvisor. If you click on their company name you can expand their details to usually find a direct web address and contact information where you can specify your concerns. I highly recommend doing this rather than booking through 3rd party like Viator or even TripAdvisor.
  6. With the last cabin re-classification MSC seems to have lost the Family and Super-Family categories. Along with designated Bella cabins.
  7. I'm not sure Cruisedeckplans has that listed properly. Just going by color coding 11139 would be a Premium Balcony BL2. Junior Balcony cabins are not 194 sq.ft.
  8. If picking the cabin, meaning booking Fantastica experience, is not much more I'd try for the square shaped insides on deck 11 or 12. Look for the ones with cabins above and below. Their square footage is about the same as the regular rectangular insides but the ayout makes the cabin feel larger. Avoid the junior insides (and OV & balconies) which unfortunately are a possibility with booking guarantee.
  9. mscexistingreservations@msccruisesusa.com. Include your name and booking number. Be concise. Unfortunately booking through a travel agent might limit what they can do for you directly.
  10. What I see is MSC is more likely to give complimentary upgrades to those that book (Bella) guarantee. While it does happen to those who picked their specific cabin there are too often complaints when those are moved. So MSC tends not to do that if alternatives, meaning guarantee bookings, exist.

  12. There usually will be a couple different wines available in Top Sail lounge, nothing overly special. There will be one included Champagne. YC restaurant now tends to push selected wines. You're not going to find exceptional wines included.
  13. I've read the benefit was denied on cruises less than three days but the current VC terms do not specify a cruise length for the benefit. Complimentary Speciality Restaurant “Tasting Menu” Dinner [Diamond]. Members are entitled to enjoy a tasting menu dinner at a speciality restaurant once during the cruise (beverages excluded). Members may extend their invitation to one occupant of the same cabin only once and only if the cabin mate is not a Diamond card member. Privilege and speciality restaurants may not be available on all ship classes. Members under 18 must be accompanied in order to enjoy the privilege. Members are not allowed to bring any outside beverages into the restaurant. Privilege is valid in certain speciality restaurants only. More details are available on board. VoyagersT&C.pdf
  14. I don't think MSC offers that Martha Stewart horseback excursion on Grand Cayman any longer. https://www.mscbook.com/pages/sdl/us_us/usa_martha_stewart.html Some are available privately. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g147365-Activities-c61-t62-Grand_Cayman_Cayman_Islands.html
  15. I don't think they can see the actual amount paid but they can see whether you've upgraded. Actually, your original experience is often still printed on your YC logo sail card.
  16. The current description of Premium Extra, included with YC:
  17. Your booking is under the current Voyagers Club promotion for booking early and not a Voyages Selection discount, which hasn't been offered for a while. Congratulations regarding getting the port fees/taxes reduced, that's quite a feat that I've not been able to accomplish with MSC for years. As long as you don't make any changes to the booking your taxes should hold. I've not seen MSC increase taxes on an existing booking, when there are changes they are usually only applied to any new bookings.
  18. Yes, they haven't updated that bonus they were giving in early 2022. This isn't something MSC has reimplemented yet, if/when they do it will only be on a few selected sailings. The point is that the VS sailing search once again yields results rather than just popping up no results found, which is what has been happening for the last 18 months. So someone is working on these web pages. And since these sailings have been marked as VS in MSC's system it's also possible phone agents would once again be able to select the code (Pax Type: Voyage Selection 5+15) from their discount list. Hopefully some of the MSC travel agents on here can experiment with this.
  19. Since I noticed a couple newish promotions (Winter Offer & Status Match Plus) last month for Voyagers Club members I've been poking around the MSC site. And after quite some time with the Voyages Selection web pages yielding no results (and all internal links to them gone) I have just noticed they are once again listing VS sailings, currently all sailings on all three pages - 5+5, 5+10 and 5+15. There are still no internal links and the online booking function does not work, but those who have been dealing with MSC for a while know these weren't unusual even when the discounts were active. It often took calling a knowledgeable agent who knew how to look up the VS discount in their list and apply it. I've been wondering if MSC had plans to resurrect these discounts because they never took the VS discount section out of the Voyagers Club terms even after updating them to the current, limited +5% discount/OBC for booking early. So, if anyone is planning a new booking, or feels daring with an existing one, it might be worth a try to ask if a phone agent can see a VS 5+15 discount and try applying. I'm not willing to mess with my paid-in-full reservation, but I might try a mock booking just to see what they say. I kind of hate to mess with an agent's time when I'm not planing to book though. If they ask for a screenshot of the sailing listed under the VS discount, as happened to me in the past (and it worked), get it from here: https://www.msccruisesusa.com/manage-booking/msc-voyagers-club/msc-club-pax-type-515 Example:
  20. I know if your upgrade bid is accepted you still only get the amount of Voyagers Club points for the original experience type and cruise length. But has anyone ever noticed they got Voyagers points for the dollar amount of the upgrade cost as on-board spend points, like they do for pre-paid excursions, laundry, shows etc...?
  21. Actually, there is a way to see some MSC excursion pricing prior to booking by using the open-to-the-public MSC TA website feature. See linked page, at the bottom you can fill out drop boxes to select your sailing and create a PDF file of available excursions that include pricing. Note that the request form's "Port" field needs to be the embarkation port - and sometimes the PDF format is hard to read. The PDF will include all excursions at each port of call of the sailing selected. I have never verified their accuracy. https://www.mscbook.com/shop/TAPortalExternalView?storeId=10757&catalogId=10001&langId=-1004&taportalIframeKey=MENU_EXCURSIONS Attached example is Meraviglia for 5 November, 2023 out of NYC. MSC APP SUCKS

The MSC app is not needed to connect to the ship’s internet.
  23. On Seascape Aurea is in a separate dining room. You can link the bookings online in the web check-in area but likely will have to work this out with the maitre 'd once on the ship. They will likely want the Aurea passengers to move to a set dining time with the Fantastica, but it's not a certainty.
  24. Seaside Evo ships, like Seascape, have a separate dining room for Aurea.
