  1. There's a baggage storage room in terminal three, bottom floor. https://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-roma-en/pax-fco-baggage-services?
  2. When you get your cruise ticket it should look like the images below. Note the Experience, Bella in this case, remains the original under Section 2 > Booking Information and Section 2 > What is Included. Only the Category, Stateroom and Deck are updated, this is similar to what you see online. But Section 3 > Your Purchased Services will show the Plusgrade upgrade to Yacht Club.
  3. On my last Seaside class sailing to Ocean Cay the Yacht Club restaurant was not open for lunch. Only the Yacht Club pool deck grill was open, and the main buffet.
  4. No experience level includes specialty dining. You can book specialty restaurants individually once on the ship or purchase a dining package pre-cruise.
  5. Cruiseplum.com If you create an account you can see historic prices on specific sailings.
  6. Meraviglia has four MDR's, Bella and Fantastica may be assigned to any of them. Panorama is the only one set up for anytime dining so Aurea is always assigned there. Only one restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, this restaurant has varied. Initially it was Panorama but lately I believe it has been Waves. Getting to eat dinner at a different restaurant than where they serve breakfast and lunch is a three out of four chance. In the past I know Bella and Fantastica got the same discount offer on dining packages. I can't say definitely that hasn't changed but the package prices I was offered as Bella seemed typical. I'm unsure of the claimed percent discount.
  7. A lot depends on the ship, but for the most part Bella and Fantastica technically would have equal chance to be assigned any given MDR. The only official difference is Bella gets last choice of dining times, Fantastica gets priority. On Meraviglia there are more pronounced differences between the MDR's; decor, ceiling height, openness, and windows/views. It does cause the perception that some are nicer than others, Panorama being more desirable and Waves being least. Aside from Aurea getting Panorama I don't think MSC actively gives Fantastica much, if any, weight in which restaurant they are assigned. I'll state now I've dined in all Meraviglia restaurants and actually had the best service and meals in Waves. Yes, Panorama was more esthetically pleasant but the times I dined there it was too crowded, chaotic and it was too dark outside for any views. I also think any advantage Fantastica might get in assignment to a "nicer" dining room would be lost if choosing a desirable time slot. Website experience level wording is difficult to interpret but I've recently booked Bella, since the confusing wording, and was offered dining packages pre-cruise. Similarly priced dining packages are available once on the ship but will include a 15% gratuity.
  8. I was in one of the square accessible cabins, I think like 5066. There was a constant background droning noise from the engines but not overwhelming, more like a loud white noise machine. Surprisingly we didn't get much noise from the nearby atrium shows. Definitely close the curtains at night because you may find people walking around on the pier right outside your window in the morning.
  9. The included massages for Aurea have been gone for a while now. Unfortunately what MSC put in place is confusing - an "exclusive pre-cruise offer" for the Balinese massage, at an additional cost.
  10. What has been recommended does often work. MSC recently changed the Terms & Conditions to address this practice. They specifically mention that they may charge additional fees, above the loss of the canceled second passenger. I have never heard of this being enforced. Some people have mentioned it may only be used against repeated exploits of their obvious limits on solo bookings. Read section 13 closely. booking-terms-and-conditions-231208.pdf
  11. The restaurants you are able to book depends upon the ship. BUTCHERS-CUT.pdfOCEAN-CAY.pdf
  12. At Butcher's Cut I've ordered the seafood platter as the appetizer and the ribeye as the main and they were 50% of menu price when using my Diamond meal, same as with the pre-purchased experiences. I've also ordered multiple sides in additional to the three courses and got them at 50%.
  13. You have to be signed in to Cruise Critic, at the bottom of each person's (who uses the signature function) post are the words "Expand signature". People can put links to their reviews, blogs etc... there. You may need to go to your account settings and turn on "View signatures".
  14. For better context you should visit the DOT Cruise Incident Report website. No reports of sexual assault in Q4 2023, on MSC. One in Q3 2023, compare that to other cruise lines. https://www.transportation.gov/mission/safety/cruise-line-incident-reports
  15. Almost a 10 year old thread....
  16. Your in-laws may have had a beverage package that only includes bottled water and coffee in the MDR at lunch and dinner, it is often available to US and UK bookings on European itineraries. A full beverage package like Easy Plus is good at all times and at all bars/restaurants.
  17. There's a video of cabin 15021 (and many others) on YouTube, search "Divina 15021".
  18. I wouldn't be comfortable with that flight time.
  19. On US sailings the only things they don't seem to do are the Voyagers Club gatherings.
  20. You can use the link to the MSC US site I provided in this thread to search for your sailing's excursions.
  21. My last Divina sailing was 2019, at that time they only had a cooler they kept in a side room. Very limited drink choices - just bottled drinks, and very limited hours that they had someone serving them. I never saw anyone taking drink orders from a main bar where you could choose from the full bar menu.
  22. How important is having a second bathroom? Also, in the Aurea cabin the kids will be on a sofa bed in the same cabin area vs. in a separate room with a real bed.
  23. It's covered in the atteched US Terms & Conditions of the contract. Section 1 covers deposits, but below quoted part of Section 13 mentions special fares where the deposit is always forfeited. From time to time, the Company may offer a discounted fare with non-refundable deposit. This deposit does not follow the above cancellation policy and takes immediate effect upon transaction. booking-terms-and-conditions-231208.pdf
  24. I've had lots of trouble getting the software to accept my photo, luckily it really isn't necessary. Check out the documentary "Coded Bias".
  25. I don't think there are any outlets near the bed's lamps. There are only both European and US outlets across the cabin at the desk.
