  1. Celebrity’s refundable rates are tough. The Celebrity price would be $3184 less for two people less with the non refundable.
  2. Was it between 5-7 PM? Perhaps they was some confusion between the Elite Plus coffee benefit and the HH.
  3. You would certainly think it would easy enough to manage. The only justifiable explanation that I could even remotely see would be if the railroad had an issue and took a car out of service. No indication that it happened.
  4. Yes, I do. When Celebrity initially switched to cartons and then aluminum for the basic water, do you really believe that this was to save money? I do not see how that change could possible save money. Removing the aluminum water cans will certainly save money.
  5. Seasoned_Traveler, thanks for the additional information.
  6. Yes, I recall. I was wondering if Seasoned_Traveler had the same experience. Certainly a terrible experience.
  7. Yes, I know you have stated that many times. This is the line item listed under the Royal Suite :”Complimentary bottled water, soda, and beer stocked daily”. That benefit is not listed under the Sky Suite amenities. Of course that does not mean that a Sky Suite might also receive the stocked minibar, it is just not a listed benefit. When I have stayed in a Sky Suite, I have had the butler offer to get me a drink. But I just emptied my minibar and bought items back to my cabin for the minibar.
  8. Ouch. Certainly is not fair. Perhaps Celebrity oversold the tour or the Flam Railway did not provide enough tickets? I think you can be confident that Celebrity did not use the purchase date as the priority for who‘s ticket was cancelled. Was this excursion every sold out? I have no idea how different cruise lines handle this kind of situation. Were you able to buy a ticket directly from the railroad for the railroad? I am sorry to hear that this happened to you. It might be worth writing a little and complain, but if you already know that you will never cruise with Celebrity it might not be worth the effort.
  9. It is certainly possible that the team member tasked with stocking your minibar will follow the Sky Suite benefits instead of the Upper level benefits. As I recall you have reported several times that your Butler has provided you beer without an extra charge in your mini bar. it will be interesting to hear feedback from people staying in a Sky Suite under this new approach. Perhaps as early as next week.
  10. That is the process that I use. I always pay via the TA along with the Final payment. I send a note to the TA if the flight information is not on my final invoice. The only function my TA does with the flights is to add it to my invoice. I can make change or cancel directly with FBC until the final payment.
  11. I would certain blame the cruise line for the decision on which reservation is cancelled.
  12. Sorry this happened to your party. It does seem unlikely that your booking 8 months ago would not have priority over those booked later, but I guess you do not really know. I certainly hope the selection was not based on a better deal that your received for booking so far in advance. Since you have decided you are never going to use the $150 OBC given as compensation (with a full refund I assume), it is probably not worth pursuing further. I have had excursions cancelled, but it as always been because of weather or lack of interest.
  13. You just change your cabin number in the same category, everything remained the same, and you lost your OBC for booking on board? Did you booking number change? Does not seem right to me.
  14. It does look like the environmentally friendly carton has a plastic cap.
  15. I am left wondering if in the last the FCC bookings were fully refundable. I suspect today if you make a booking with a fully refundable Fare, you will be able to change, keep your full deposit, and also keep your OBC for booking on board. I suspect that if the FCC is book with a non refundable fare, the $200 deposit is lost, the FCC is cancelled, and you do not receive the OBC. I am not sure what happens if you book a non refundable suite and pay a deposit greater than $200. Perhaps you get to keep the OBC?
  16. Yes, the Specialty dining benefits with the upper level suites includes the a’la carte restaurants and lunches. Love the Porch for lunch. i would for the extra amenities.
  17. Just to clarify. You are stating that if one is staying in an Aqua Class cabin, they will deliver two bottles of water in a can per day. Has nothing to do with being Elite.
  18. Then hopefully for them, they will maintain the same Butler title while part of the team. A team of Butlers.
  19. I would say that your odds of winning that bid have significantly improved.
  20. You will have a better idea after your two cruises. Be sure to come back and report. I will resist clarifying the differences, unless you are considering cancelling one of the two cruises. Happy cruising.
  21. I would say the answer is yes. Many people have won move up bids after they have checked in and received their E docs.
  22. I suspect someone is confused or exaggerating. As always if you purchased a premium non alcoholic drink with the Classic package you will pay full price. The paying the difference applies to alcoholic drinks only. are you sure you are not looking at a menu that is for a European or Australian based cruise that show the added gratuity on the menus thus the Classic limit is $22 and not $10?
  23. When the HH first started were very few CC members eligible. It was held in the Michael’s club and was fully staffed.
  24. IMO and experience you are correct about the previous unbalanced workload. Some cruisers are very high Maintenance and others do not need much attention. Same situation with the room service staff in all category of cabins.
