  1. Yes there is special seating for suites in the main theater but we never had any trouble getting seating in there on Odyssey any of the show we attended. I don't think that that is true in 270 for "The Book" though. We weren't in a suite when we were on Odyssey so I might be mistaken. Also, the music hall has no reserved seating. That is all FCFS.
  2. Unless something has significantly changed it has been $5 per glass for quite a while.
  3. The only show to book is in 270 called the "The Book". Everything else on Odyssey is first come first served. The big show to see is "The effectors". I quite liked it. Very impressive tech... Edit: Concierge can make CK reservations for you though and book any specialty dining you may purchased with a dining plan. Concierge will email about a week out from embarkation.
  4. I'm not questioning capitalism or Royal making money. 🙂 I just want them to make a little more off of me and not someone else 💰💸
  5. I'm 0/8 bidding on Royalup. If there is a code to crack I'm clearly in the dark.
  6. A question for the regulars in the casino... I just checked my points at clubroyaleoffers.com and it still shows 0 points. I didn't gamble a tonne on Navigator last month but I should have accumulated some points. We disembarked August 25th. It's been just over two weeks since we got off the ship. How long does it usually take for you points to update?
  7. I got fresh squeezed OJ at the windjammer and the MDR on Odyssey for breakfast.
  8. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience accessing the fitness center outside of posted hours. We're cruising next year on Liberty of the Seas with some friends and he is wondering if he will be able to access the fitness center before it's official opening time of 6 am. He is a bit of a gym monkey, actually a professional body builder 30 years ago, and prefers to workout very very early in the morning. 4:30 am would be his preferred time. He and his wife are regular Princess cruisers and on Princess, while they have posted hours starting at 6 am, no one seems to care that he shows up at 4:30 am gets his work out in before any staff show up and is gone and drinking coffee waiting for the rest of the ship to awaken. Of course I told him that I have no idea what is going on at 430 am on the ship, particularly the fitness center, as I have never ever been awake on any ship at 430 am. Anyone have any experience accessing the gym outside of posted hours. Thoughts... Opinions...
  9. “Shanah tovah” To all my CC friends celebrating Rosh Hashanah. I hope this is a great year for each and every one of you.
  10. Just as a point of interest... I have been limited to a Max of $500 per cruise. Since I only play table games, I was told that I need to put at least $250 back through a slot machine in order to have access to another $500.
  11. You must be a better picture taker than me. Every single cruise my uploaded picture has to be retaken pier side. I'm not going to bother anymore.
  12. If I can get a seat on the rail in the middle section of either side I do. I love it there. Best seat in the house as far as I am concerned.
  13. LOL, I didn't know you were from the UK. The term knackered made me smile. I've only heard my British friends or Downton Abbey fans use the term.
  14. So, in other words, a very non-typical cruise and purchasing internet in a non-typical way (paying full price once you get onboard). For the OP's edification... right now a single two device package which can be shared with another person so you can wifi call, text, surf and email will run you about $225 on a typical 7 day cruise not $500 as has been previously mentioned. That being said, I would make sure you have wifi calling set up on your phone prior to getting on the cruise ship. Put your phone in Airplane mode at home and set it up and test it on land before hand. If you are not tech savvy I'm sure there are some teenagers in your life who could do it in about 10 minutes.
  15. I'm just kind of a OCD hyper planner when it comes to cruises. I'm sure your way works just as well. 🙂
  16. I made reservation in advance on the app. The suite concierge can do it for you also but I wanted to make sure I got the times for shows that worked best for me.
  17. How in the world are you paying $500 for a single device voom service. I can buy a 4 device package for less than that on my next Harmony cruise and it isn't even a particularly good price right now.
  18. I'm not @George C but I believe his implication isn't that those in suites are any more sanitary but that in Coastal Kitchen no one but the staff is handling the utensils and so combining that with UDP he doesn't have to ever eat in place where passengers handle utensils. I'm not sure how you could have misinterpreted his post so badly.
  19. I always get the bag from the attendant on day three and send it out the morning of the forth day. It's usually back before dinner on day five. Usually I see the bag in the closet but if not I just ask and they will hand one over.
  20. We were up on Navigator's mini golf (same location) last month at Sail away. Of course I knew it was coming so plugged my ears and warned the others to do so also. No listened... they regretted their poor decision 🙂
  21. There are no significantly obstructed views on Navigator. They only cabins that are deemed obstructed are aft facing cabins and those are highly sought after. The only downside to an XB would be being place in a location that was subject to much noise. That being said, we've never had a bad cabin on this or freedom class ship. Guarantee cabins are pretty safe.
  22. We neve had anything booked for the first night. Although they say they do that generally nothing is booked until you do it onboard. Yes you have to wait until you board to book. Make it the first thing you do once you board so you get maximum selection. If you are in a suite the Concierge can do it but otherwise do it first thing on board. If you are booked for something and you want to change it that is no problem subject availability. We print out a list of what we want so that it is easy to know when and what. you want to book.
  23. No there are rooms that hold 5. You have to call in or book through a TA to get those. I was just on Navigator in a room that held 6 that was not a suite. I only had 4 but it would have been fine with 5 or even 6.
