  1. Getting on and off the ship is a piece of cake unless you are tendering which you shouldn't be. If the bed is to hard you can ask for a mattress pad or even two. Mattress hardness is a very subjective opinion. Getting reservations for iFly isn't hard and neither is it for the Northstar. Just make sure you nail this stuff down on embarkation day. Preferably at lunch while you are eating. It is simple to do on the app. Bumper cars is first come first serve. Last year on Ovation I waited for 15 minutes in line before getting on. That was the first day they were available. Later on in the week I saw very short lines. Don't be afraid of larger ships. There is tonnes to do onboard and getting to experience it all isn't that hard.
  2. People tend to complain more than compliment. By spreading those negative reviews across time CC mitigates against the unreasonableness of of some reviews. Should the poor service or experience be a systemic issue the reviews will catch up over time.
  3. My description very clearly states 12 or 24 1 liter bottles. If they only give me 12 500ml bottles I will be requesting another 12 dozen from GS or a credit for 50% of the value.
  4. As far as the difference in volume I ordered the 12 pack. I they end up giving 12 of the no name brand water then I get half the value... I'd be pretty disappointed.
  5. I'd do the balcony cabin in a heartbeat. While you sometimes have inclement weather that precludes you using the balcony, if you bundle up a bit sitting out on the balcony in the morning is glorious.
  6. I'm just looking for recent experience with the water package. Are you actually getting Evian water in 1L bottles or are they still only providing the same no name brand water in 500ml bottles they used to provide? I've ordered the 12 pack and I'm expecting to receive 12 1L bottles. There is obviously a big difference in quality and volume between the two.
  7. Just hand over cash. Whichever staff member you hand it to will smile and thank you profusely. No need for envelopes or getting GS involved or especially the IT dept involved.
  8. Book now with a refundable fare. Cancel if you are unhappy with your Symphony experience.
  9. Was on Oasis 3/5/23. She was great. I saw lines at the windjammer however I didn't eat there. Outside of that crowds were not an issue. Oasis is a great ship with great staff. Enjoy your cruise.
  10. I was born in Vancouver but no longer live there anymore but did until 2016. The injuries and death that I am familiar with up until that point almost all involved drugs or alcohol. That being said, I'm not saying that it is without risk, I even had a close call one time further down the canyon right be the foot bridge, if you are familiar with the circuit that people travel down to jump off the cliffs. However, for the most part people do it very safely. Don't get me wrong, if my grandson wanted to go do it I'd probably tie him to a fence post. My only point in bringing it up is in the context of this discussion that 100ft guarantees injury or death. That isn't my experience. I'm not advocating risky behavior.
  11. My DBP dropped $5 below the previous sale price. I saved $35. Everything else was the same.
  12. It is Navigator from back in January. Your experience is more recent so I’d default to your answer.
  13. My early life was filled with bad decisions LOL.
  14. I can assure you I feel lots of pain just like normal people. I don't know what to say except we did every weekend for years. It was the ultimate adrenaline rush. The world record for cliff jumping was set In 2015 by Laso Schaller, with a jump of 58.8 m (193 ft). Diving, I can't imagine but jumping and landing feet first while wearing decent footwear can be done easily at 60 feet and relatively pain free at 100 ft
  15. Absolutely, completely untrained. We started doing it in our young teen years and I continued well into dulthood. I finally quit in my early 30's. Lynn Canyon is a popular destination in North Vancouver that people flock to every summer. People have been doing this since the early 80's when I started. People continue to this day. Here is a video of someone doing it a few years ago. I was 16 the first time I jumped from this very spot. Of course there is risk but the the biggest risk isn't hitting the waterfall it's making sure you clear the waterfall. This guys technique is rubbish but it is an example of someone doing it. Others look far more graceful. If you ever take a cruise out YVR to Alaska and stay over to explore I'll give you directions to Lynn canyon so you can see it live. Every weekend, from late July through mid Sept, hundreds of folks will flock here to jump from this and other cliffs further down the canyon. Typically the height is between 60 and 100 ft Here is another example in the same area... These guys are hitting the 60 foot cliff or riding the waterslide.
  16. Yeah it’s great having a ship I can drive too. It’s a 4 1/2 hour drive but thats still nicer than flying across the country. Been on her twice so far and have three more booked. I think Navigators ice show is the best one in the fleet. At least of the ones I have seen.
  17. Do they have food? I never noticed that if they did. That’s my first stop on navigator
  18. I have jumped from that height many many times. I can assure you that while there is risk, as long as you don’t land cockeyed, hitting water won’t hurt you unless it is completely still water. A little bit of wave or chop makes the impact with the water painless. I imagine a loose fitting life vest might be problematic but if it was worn snuggly it might not cause to much problem.
  19. Yes, on Navigator you will find it in the promenade. It's called Cafe Promenade. They have deserts, sandwiches and other things. in the Morning you find breakfast fare as well.
  20. I'm a bit of a redneck. Duct tape is the generally the answer to every problem.
  21. No my TA would have gotten back to me within the hour. You need a new TA.
  22. Deck 10 would approximately 100ft from the water. Unless they hit something on the way down they would very unlikely be seriously hurt. We used jump and dive off cliffs that height and higher all the time. Here is an example of someone drunk doing on Symphony and was mostly uninjured.
  23. Points are credited right after your statement date
  24. Transfer is $54 per person. Uber/Lyft will be much cheaper. Also consider Galveston express. 9am is about the latest est I would think, though I'm not positive. I'm usually trying to get off around 8. On my Galveston cruise Royal has an excursion that includes transportation to IAH with a stop at Space Center Houston. That would kill a little time for you instead of sitting in an airport
