  1. Really? That’s amazing news. I get a lot of Waves surveys and they often address the issue of smoking in the Casino. Maybe Princess will take a step forward and eliminate all indoor smoking sometime soon. I hear they’ve gotten rid of Churchills on a number of ships.
  2. You can get free drinks at almost any bar during those hours but not in the restaurants. You can take them wherever you want. Have a drink by the pool with friends who are not Elite, get a cocktail to bring back to your cabin, get a glass of wine to bring into dinner.
  3. That is also my experience on recent cruises. There was one cruise on the Apex where I could get a latte and take it with me but otherwise, no.
  4. It was right after the restart. We had a couple of cruises where there was no smoking allowed.
  5. If you have applied for a visa for the wrong ports, my understanding is that you can just apply for a new visa. Here is a link to Celebrity’s sheet on applying https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dJKiercTMrbzO6CsEDA6dudfaYU8VIkG/view?usp=drivesdk
  6. Thanks for the answer and yes, we'll have to get a visa on arrival. Cambodia asks you to upload confirmation of your hotel reservation on the evisa website. It's extremely annoying to me that Celebrity, or any tour provider, is unable to answer such a simple question.
  7. I can’t say what will happen on the Ascent, but our reservations for Select Dining were honored on the Apex earlier this year
  8. Regardless of nationality, as long as you don’t leave the transit area you do not need a visa https://www.mfa.gov.tr/frequently-asked-questions.en.mfa#:~:text=Do I need to get, required to have transit visa.
  9. In my experience, medallions that are ordered through the app arrive in the color indicating the status shown in the app.
  10. I just wouldn't want to stand in line, especially for 6 cruises as the poster had booked. One phone call would be much easier for me. I try to do as much as possible with Crew Chat when I'm on the ship.
  11. Having the correct medallion color and level showing in the app can be helpful to get in the priority line at embarkation, when tendering, entering the PE lounge etc. If the level shown is incorrect pre-cruise, it’s worth making a call to me. Especially if it’s that many sailings.
  12. I’d describe them as a unisex large, maybe XL. If you fit into one of those sizes when you get an event t-shirt, the robe should be fine. Otherwise maybe way too big or way too small.
  13. I’ve had it be wrong in the app. It took a phone call to get it corrected
  14. That is what I am am curious about. Is it like renting a float or snorkeling equipment, where you pick it up and just go about your day then return it before you leave? If so, how heavy are they and how easy to set up on the base?
  15. That is why I am asking if anyone has rented one. Not sure they have enough staff to follow everyone around till they pick a spot though. The clamshells are all together.
  16. Yes, they are $34.95 on Princess as well. My only question is for anyone has used them. I wonder how heavy they are and if they are easy to set up.
  17. There’s lots of shade, especially is you move back from the water. We’ve never had a problem finding a spot when it’s just the two of us
  18. I see they are now renting beach umbrellas at Princess Cays which sounds much more appealing than the clamshells to me. It seems from the description that they are picked up at the stand and are in a bag with a base and can be set up wherever you like. Has anyone gotten them? I’m curious about how easy they are to set up and if they are heavy.
  19. Is anyone aware of what hotel is currently being used in Siem Reap for the 2 night ship excursions to Angkor Wat? A couple of us heading out soon and are struggling with not being able to get the hotel name so we can't apply for Cambodia visas. It’s incredibly frustrating!
  20. Unless you’ve been in an area that would make you need a vaccine or waiver to enter those countries, you should be fine. Residents of some countries will need them.
  21. Most often yes. There can be special cancellation rules for some excursions involving flights, hotels etc.
  22. I’ve used them quite a few times with no problems in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them.
  23. I’d pick a hump cabin every time. I have no issues with the walk to the back of the ship but I hate having no shade in aft cabins.
