  1. I stay logged in and haven’t had it pop up using Safari on my phone
  2. I think people who are disappointed are much more likely to leave a review than those who got exactly what they expected and enjoyed it. My guess is that the vast majority of people are perfectly satisfied with their cruises, but didn’t have an experience that was so exceptionally good that they write a review. Making comments in a forum you frequent takes much less effort.
  3. I’ve seen people weighed for helicopter tours and horseback/mule rides.
  4. I like the deeper balconies on the hump for the shade. I’d pick that every time.
  5. On my current cruise that visited Princess Cays on the second day, the following day was a sea day and the first formal night. You can see which nights are scheduled as formal nights in the ship’s schedule under “Journey” in the app. Every evening will show either “casual” or “formal” portraits. I’ve seen it populate as much as a couple of months before a cruise.
  6. If you’ve asked for that, it’s great.
  7. In my experience it depends. I’ve seen it allowed, but they were very strict in the tiny ports in Greenland about only allowing Elites to access the tenders from the lounge. It’s probably more likely in a place like Princess Cays or Belize where they are running large tenders as opposed to smaller ports. We generally just get in line for tickets when we travel with people who are not Elite.
  8. Two plus cruise packages can be a better value at $120 per day than a stand alone plus drink package for the adult ($76) , wi-fi ($24.99 for one device) and crew appreciation for two. ($36).
  9. There’s no sight quite as sweet as seeing those little faces peering at you first thing in the morning!
  10. The terminal is closed until noon today due to a Coast Guard inspection
  11. The terminal building is scheduled to open at 12:00 today due to a Coast Guard inspection
  12. I find it’s more convenient to just park offsite in that situation. I use Park By the Ports. You can save a bit by using One Stop Parking to book https://www.parkbytheports.com/ https://onestopparking.com
  13. You can see which nights are scheduled as formal nights in the ship’s schedule under “Journey” in the app. Every evening will show either “casual” or “formal” portraits. You can also see when the champagne waterfall is scheduled as an indication. I’ve seen it populate as much as a couple of months before a cruise. Formal nights are never on the first or last night and are usually, but not always, on sea days.
  14. I’ve seen age restrictions for scuba diving excursions and believe they are enforced. If you go on this excursion knowing you are over the age limit, or worse, lie about your age and something goes wrong, my concern would be whether you’ll be covered by insurance.
  15. Pellegrino is normally available on all ships and they had it on the Caribbean Princess a few months ago. I was offered Perrier on a cruise when they were out of Pellegrino in the MDR last year but I can’t remember which ship it was.
  16. While I understand your frustration, the policy is pretty typical of travel loyalty programs whether it’s cruise lines, air lines, hotels, or car rentals. I’ve never heard of points being awarded for cancelled reservations. Hope you heal quickly!
  17. Offers can be received at the end of the cruise or appear later under Onboard Credits in your account. . Generally an email is received about those but not always. There is no stated formula for Come Back and Play offers received onboard. In my experience, 5000 points might get an offer for an inside cabin and maybe $250 in free play while something around 15000 points might yield a balcony cabin and $600 in freeplay. Those same points might get nothing though. It’s unusual now to see offers that include the Plus or Premier Packages without getting a lot of points, maybe enough for a mini suite. It doesn’t seem to matter how you play or whether you win or lose, just how many points you accrue. 3 USD = 1 point on slot machines. How it‘s calculated on table games seems impossible to understand
  18. Yes, you can order drinks from your server in the MDR and they are included on the drink package.
  19. They have Sprite Zero onboard now. I’ve seen only Diet Coke
  20. You will see what time your ship begins boarding in the app. Generally, it’s reasonable to plan for 11:00.
  21. I think you’ll notice if someone does more than you’d expect or think is typical. It’s up to you to decide if you feel someone has made a special effort. A server going out of their way to provide something not on the menu, a hostess who remembers you from a past cruise and seats you at your favorite table every night etc. An obvious example that I’ve experienced recently is a cabin steward having to clean up after a can of Diet Coke slipped out of my hand and exploded all over our cabin. We were very grateful that he cleaned it up so cheerfully including having to change the bed linens. IMO that deserved a tip. Lots of smaller things might too.
  22. I understand that they are working on a web based method, but for now, the Stock Perks app is the only way to apply for the credit.
  23. My mistake. The detergent tokens may be a different price than the tokens used for the washers and dryers. I don’t know any way to order detergent from the app. It’s not an option in Ocean Now.
  24. As I mentioned, I am often still sitting out by the pool or just coming back to the ship at that time of day as opposed to being dressed to go to the designated indoor space. Additionally, when your traveling companions are not Elite, you have to choose between your friends and family and the Elite Happy Hour when it’s held in a location with limited entry
