  1. We sailed Constellation in the summer through the Mediterranean and Adriatic regions. Very port intensive. It was a ten day cruise from Venice. There were hardly any kids at all even though it was in school summer vacation period. Excellent cruise! We have never sailed Virgin. But we are thinking of Viking. Biggest drawback for us is there is no casino. Not that we are big gamblers but we do like to partake a few times a cruise.
  2. RCCL has some well maintained, smaller ships. We enjoy the Radiance class, like Brilliance. About the size of M-Class ships. Only 1/3 the number of passengers vs. Oasis class.
  3. The CS on Edge has a regular-height table with two chairs.
  4. I cannot answer this except to say the clear winner is very much a personal choice depending on what you want out of your cruise vacation. All of these ships are quite nice in their own ways. If we are sailing the Caribbean and feel more like a party type vacation with a lot of activity we would go with RCCL and we really do enjoy Oasis class for this. We love the Crown Loft suites. The restaurants and entertainment choices on these ships far surpass any Celebrity ship. But so do the crowds, noise and kids. A good in-between choice is the RCCL Quantum ships like Anthem. Still more activity and noise (think bumper cars) than Celebrity but not a gigantic ship. When you sail Edge soon, you will have a very different on-ship experience than Wonder. More refined than any RCCL ship and less noise, far fewer kids, but also fewer dining and entertainment choices (but still enough for us). So as we are now retired and without kids at home, we tend to mostly cruise Celebrity. We prefer S-Class and M-Class to the Edge Class, mostly for the real balconies. But if you are in a suite on Edge you will get real balconies.
  5. You could have brought them on your next Celebrity cruise and sold them!😀
  6. Wonder can carry near 6988 passengers at maximum occupancy and 2300 crew. It has a gross tonnage of 236,857. Edge carries 2918 passengers and and 1377 crew, gross tonnage is 130,818. So in addition to being a floating amusement park loaded with kids, Wonder is a whole lot larger than Edge by any measure. I have been on Allure and Edge. No comparison. I was on Anthem and found it to have some similarities to Edge.
  7. Many options. The FLL airport is very close to the Port Everglades cruise port. We also use Larry's Limos, as we usually have to deal with large and heavy luggage (yeah we cruise that way).😀
  8. We found the Purell dispensers often empty on our most recent sailing like at the entrance to the OVC for example. But there was always a staff member there with a squirt bottle for Purell when you entered.
  9. In general we get this type of comment here on occasion like the OP's about feeling like a "second class citizen" or others have commented "being in steerage". One's feelings and how they view themselves are one's own perception. Nobody can actually directly make you feel that way. Why have that outlook? Who cares what anybody else thinks ?
  10. I had Starlink premium on Equinox in January in the Caribbean. It was the most reliable and fastest WiFi that I have ever experienced on a ship. No problem with streaming at all.
  11. Have you checked into the at-home INR test device? Finger ***** for a drop of blood, like a blood sugar test. Insurance might cover the cost of your own device.
  12. If you get the premium WiFi it is definitely fast and reliable (most times). Many others have complained about the standard WiFi even with Starlink. It seems they limit it on bandwidth and download/upload speed. The premium will have far less users in general.
  13. With all the cruising we have done over a lifetime, this quote also directly applies to us - no matter the cruiseline!
  14. Do they have lobster-flavored lip balm? Do they charge extra for a second tube?
  15. If I were taking 30-something family members on their first cruise I would also choose an E-Class ship.
  16. Sorry I meant Millennium Class (M-Class). I know the OP is going on Infinity. My same comments apply across all M-Class ships.
  17. In fact the vast majority of posters here do book the general population cabins. A great deal of the ship is open to you to enjoy. The Suite-only areas on Millennium are scattered around the ship. You will not be able to use Luminae (suite restaurant) and the Retreat Lounge or Retreat Sundeck. You will not be able to use Blu (Aqua restaurant). The vast majority of passengers are not in suites or Aqua. Enjoy your cruise. Santorini is special! Happy marriage!
  18. Your specific cruise or ports might require proof - so check that out first. Most do not require anything these days. I have photos of my vaccine cards and doses/dates on my iPhone if I need them. But I have never been asked.
  19. Try discussing on your roll call. Also look at sites like Trip Advisor. And excursions do not necessarily have to be from Celebrity. If you find an excursion from a specific company at the ports you are visiting, there might be a lot of reviews that might be helpful.
  20. Why do you say 50 and up? I think anybody over 30 is more the case.
  21. As you stated you love balconies, and have not cruised in a suite, you enjoy Equinox (or maybe try her sister S-class ships). You might like M-Class but they are a bit smaller with less specialty dining, but real balconies. If you do try E-class, there are a few non-suite cabins with balconies aft called Sunset Verandas. Enjoy your cruises! We were recently on Equinox.
  22. Yeah I guess I was thinking "experienced" cruisers are the older ones with previous cruising on M-Class and S-Class (or Century class) before the Edge was a dream in LLP's mind. I know that some much younger cruisers (like my 30-somthing kids) went on many cruises with us back in the day so they can do their own comparison. But we usually took them on RCCL, not Celebrity, because they were kids! LOL.
  23. Thanks. I priced out the lowest membership (annual) at $425. More than GeoBlue Trekker ($250), which offers a global health network and evacuation. People should evaluate both perhaps and decide. I don't think that I personally would purchase both unless I traveled extensively.
  24. Here are my thoughts distilled down. Agree with me or not but it is my take on Celebrity cruisers from reading many threads and posts here on CC. If you are older (above the Celebrity-targeted demographic) you might prefer S- or M-Class and a real balcony. I know that Infinite verandas have some fans too of course. At any age, if you sail in suites, you will likely love E-Class.
