  1. You are wealthy enough to go on a Celebrity Cruise. Just tip the staff please. It is how they make their living.
  2. Most Retreat guests were on shore in Grand Cayman. If on ship, you could go to the cooler in the Lounge and get a beer. Or the mini-fridge in your cabin. It was not at all a big deal to us anyway.
  3. Your luggage tags will come in your final cruise documents- to print out.
  4. Just pack your George Foreman Grill, a couple of Prime Ribs, and maybe some Maine Lobster on ice in your carryon. Then you will not be disappointed! 😁
  5. This is all quite related to where the ship is coming from and going to next. For example, last week we arrived in Curacao at 1:30PM because it took a day and a half to get there from Grand Cayman (going at 20+ knots). But we stayed until 11:30 PM because the next port was Bonaire (7AM) just a short sail to get there. But then it was 2 1/2 days sailing back to FLL.
  6. The best experience there is for suite guests and Barefoot Beach- and renting a private cabana there for your group. Expensive though - but very nice experience.
  7. I do not think the Summit cruise went to Grand Cayman. I could not find one that stopped there.
  8. They did have it on the Luminae lunch menu first day for us recently. But you probably need to order two - or you go hungry! Or just have more desert.😃
  9. I think 10 AM might be a bit too early. Even if they check you in as a suite guest, the ship will probably not be cleared for boarding yet so you might have to wait in the terminal. I'll relay to you our very recent experience for illustration purposes. We had a 1:30 scheduled time two weeks ago at Port Everglades on Equinox. But as suite guests we arrived about 11:30 AM, and we were escorted to the very short suite line, and an agent checked us in with a portable tablet and we went quickly through security. This whole process maybe was 10 min max. The ship had just started boarding (at 11:45) and again suite guests were in a separate short line for boarding. We went right to our cabin and dropped off our carry on stuff and got our Sea Pass cards. After an 11:30 AM arrival at the port we were walking around the ship unencumbered by noon. We went to the Spa and made appointments. We went to Murano to make a dinner reservation. Following that we were having lunch in Luminae by 12:30 PM. It was all so easy! Enjoy!
  10. No issue. There is a boarding time to control the crowds showing up all at once. The suite guests are in a separate line and do not compete for slots. It is not really a big deal honestly.
  11. It was changed a few months before the cruise. No idea why. Nassau was a very poor substitute.
  12. Thanks for the review and pictures. We got off the Equinox Jan 30th after 9 days too. Great cruise and great ship. We missed Aruba but stopped at Nassau (meh) and then GC, Curacao and Bonaire. We liked Bonaire the best!
  13. Premium WiFi with Starlink on Equinox was excellent. No problem streaming.
  14. No problem just go wait at the Pool Bar!😁
  15. I remember going to Labadee in the past on Celebrity. Definitely with RCCL.
  16. I never use the Pool area or hot tubs. I never use the Pool Bar except maybe early evening if nice out. In fact the other options (Sunset Bar or Martini Bar) are pretty packed at dinner time and there are usually longer waits. We waited 15+ minutes last week at the Martini Bar to get a bartender to come over to us and we were sitting at the bar! Fortunately we like the World Class Bar and went there instead.
  17. Yes we just went to the regular drop off.
  18. @terrydtx you sail suites (like me) so here are some planning suggestions to get you skunky🤪. You can go to the Retreat Lounge and grab a beer out of the cooler until 5PM. Or maybe talk to your butler to load you up in your suite refrigerator before the dreaded GC stop. Or take 4 bottles of wine on departure day and save them for the GC stop. Or get your Butler to stand in line at the Pool Bar. Or stand in line at the Pool Bar -bring a book (short one) to pass the time. ☺️ You don't need to go to Guest Services- go to the Retreat concierge and demand your free cruise! I know folks- this is tongue-in-cheek for suite passenger options!
  19. Thanks for the actual photos. At least on Beyond that day, the Pool Bar was not overwhelmed. It is very similar to what I experienced at the Pool Bar about 4PM on our GC stop on Equinox last week. I should have taken a photo too. There were 4 bartenders and almost non-existent waits. We left port 5PM and everything opened immediately.
  20. Pre- cruise (Equinox) we were only able to book Murano at 9:30 PM on any given night. Even though the Retreat shore-side concierge tried for us. But when we boarded we went directly to Murano and they had plenty of openings with decent times (we took 7 PM). My dw had the table-side lobster which she enjoyed but it was quite small. Others around us ordered two. Maybe sign up when on board, and get the first night discount, or go for another night? We got 15% as E+ members on a later night. So it all worked out for us. And it was overall quite good and enjoyable. I would offer that you just enjoy your cruise (and Murano) and not worry too much about negative (subjective) comments affecting your decisions in advance.
  21. This notice was the same for our GC stop last week from the Celebrity Today on Equinox. It seems from recent posts that all Celebrity ships stopping there for the day only have the Pool Bar Open. I do not personally believe it is some sort of evil plot by Celebrity but a government - based initiative which we do not yet understand. But it is puzzling that other cruise lines do not seem to be buzzing about this here on CC. It will eventually be explained by somebody knowledgeable. On port days on ship there are usually some bars open and some bars closed at most ports. I understand that only having the Pool Bar open in port in GC is an inconvenience to some folks. Just like having the Casino closed also by government regulations.
  22. The Food and Bev manager on Equinox last week (we stopped in GC) told me it was a directive from the government of the Cayman Islands. I have no reason to mistrust this information.
  23. We just came back (on Equinox) into Terminal 25. I will offer that the exit from the ship is quick and easy. It has Face Recognition technology at CBP and it was a breeze!
