  1. I would react to this just like I react to a flyer being put under my windshield wiper in a parking lot. I would be annoyed.
  2. Both USD or Euro's are fine. And Pounds if sailing out of the UK. It has been my experience on cruises originating in Europe that there are different ATM's on board for USD and Euro's.
  3. Your post brings up a hypothetical scenario posted by another. It has not been considered by Celebrity as far as we know. I guess responding to it here is a thought exercise. It is not going to happen IMO. Also, along these lines, you could ask about a few other previously not-discussed general scenarios. Any one could be made possible for 1 isolated custom-tailored cruise but not a change in the overall business strategy. - Adults over 65 only or Adults under 65 only - Gender-only specific cruises - Country or nationality specific cruises - Unvaccinated only - Vegans only (Bo would like this) You could go on and on.😄
  4. Ok understood. Thanks!
  5. Be careful. Cruise length is always counted per night. For example a 5 night cruise would be 6 days. You board day 1 and get off the ship the morning of day 6.
  6. Not sure I understand your point here.
  7. Yes me too. Yes you can pack your own potato chips. But they will be crushed somewhere in transit.😄
  8. Honestly even the best doctors with expert opinions need to wait for the new boosters to come out and review the data and understand the guidelines before offering us directions. My current doctor (who I trust very much) told me this recently. It made me trust him even more.
  9. You are correct, Thanks. I guess I can't figure out how to search but I swear these did not come up when I searched yesterday 2-5 nights from a US port in the remainder of 2022. But today they are there. And one on Edge too (Nov 7).
  10. It might be prudent to write Celebrity (you have plenty of time). Maybe an email. Ask about the policy for medical exemptions to the vaccine policy. In Europe. Or by the countries you will visit. Trying to figure this out for general "non-vaccinated" passengers might be quite different.
  11. I am not a fan of fully vaccinated. But I am a fan of Up To Date vaccinated as you are too.
  12. Search Celebrity for cruises in 2022 out of a US port that are less than 6 nights. One on Beyond in November and a few on Summit. All out of FLL. So this new rule is practically non-existent for most cruises. Maybe Celebrity will monitor these few cruises and collect some data.
  13. Read this update. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2022/07/28/1114408611/summer-boosters-for-people-under-50-shelved-in-favor-of-updated-boosters-in-the
  14. From the US (FLL) in 2022 there is 1 sailing in November for Beyond that is 5 nights. A handful of sailings on Summit. That's it.
  15. Yes but the FDA will likely treat this like a yearly influenza vaccine and not require large clinical studies. So that would be ideal for us cruising folk. More good info here updated yesterday. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2022/07/28/1114408611/summer-boosters-for-people-under-50-shelved-in-favor-of-updated-boosters-in-the
  16. According to this information the new Omicron boosters might be here soon. Not soon enough for my cruise in 1 month out of the UK. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2022/07/26/1113615330/reformulated-covid-vaccine-boosters-may-be-available-earlier-than-expected
  17. Guessing but probably yes. But once approved I suspect that the Omicron COVID booster doses will come as usual at first with a set of recommendations (age? health status?) by the CDC or elsewhere by the country health authority. Possibly some restrictions as it is possible they will be in short supply when they first come out. I am hoping the crew gets quick access to them as that will help keep cruising safer overall.
