  1. That's about 7000 more bodies than I would like on any ship that I sail!
  2. We loved the Crown Loft suite on Harmony on Deck 17 with direct access to the Suite Lounge and CK. Nice set up. We barely used the Diamond Lounge (although we are D+). Since you are D on RCCL in a CL suite you can use both. You can use CK as well with a CL suite. But IMO not as good as Luminae on Celebrity - but subjective of course.
  3. I went to my local Walgreens and got new passport photos. It was easy and inexpensive.
  4. Earlier this year I paid for expedited service and got mine back on Day 15. It was $60 extra. Also paid for expedited 1-2 day delivery (extra $18). So $78 total extra, but figuring once every 10 years so a good value to me.
  5. Check this out on Icon. https://www.cruisehive.com/another-milestone-for-icon-of-the-seas-as-new-bow-arrives/80626
  6. We stayed in Hotel Plaza San Francisco in 2020. It was nice, affordable, and a walkable area.
  7. How many of you have seen this letter sent out yesterday? See the included link on Captain's Club changes. It’s been a few months since my last note, and I thought now might be a good time to check back in with all of you and share some of the exciting things happening at Celebrity Cruises. As many of you know, I am getting ready for my first Celebrate with the CEO cruise since 2019! I will be sailing on Celebrity Beyond for 10-nights to the Greek Islands and Malta in just a few days. I can’t wait to see all our guests – maybe even some of you - and our crew again. Captain Kate McCue will be at the helm and Captain Dimitris Kafetzis will also be joining us. Make sure you follow along with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to join in the fun. I hope you saw that Royal Caribbean Group announced yesterday our plan to implement SpaceX’s Starlink– making it the first in the cruise industry to adopt its high-speed, low-latency connectivity for a massively better onboard experience for guests and crew. The innovative broadband internet service will be installed on all Celebrity Cruises ships beginning this fall and finishing in spring of 2023. Most exciting is that we will start with Celebrity Beyond’s 9/5 voyage. We are thrilled to be able to offer you significantly faster and more reliable internet no matter where you are in the world on our ships. If you have purchased an All-Included Celebrity vacation which includes WiFi, I encourage all of you to upgrade to the premium package which enables streaming. This service is game changing for cruise vacations. The next topic I thought I would comment on is our new boarding requirements and protocols that better align with the travel industry and society at large. Ultimately, we’re transitioning to the day when everyone can sail with us again. Beginning with departures on September 5, 2022, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can cruise with us on sailings departing from U.S. and Europe ports (excluding sailings that visit Canada). And testing protocols are easing on our U.S. and Europe sailings. Visit us at celebritycruises.com/health-and-safety for details. I realize that keeping up with these ever- changing protocols is daunting. For us as well. We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate with countries around the world and varying restrictions and requirements. And lastly, in case you missed it, we recently announced exciting new enhancements to our Captain’s Club program based on your feedback. We re-introduced cruise-only rates, added a new shore excursion benefit, updated member events, and more. We’ve included it all at celebritycruises.com/captains-club/program-changes so that you can stay up to date on all things Celebrity. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. It is appreciated more than you will ever know. I hope to see you on board soon. Until then, All my very best,
  8. Actually I think that is an interesting perspective. thanks!
  9. It is similar to the part of the MDR menu which are the alternative every night selections. I have read here recently that for Luminae on Edge you need to ask your waiter for this list. Or the front desk perhaps at the entrance. I think they did away with the paper insert. But 19 days sounds awesome! I can see why you might want some variety!
  10. Not recently but a couple of years ago on Edge. They did not allow the MDR menu in Luminae (on Edge and E-Class ships) for the reasons you mentioned. There have been quite a few threads and posts about this. When you sail maybe ask anyway. You never know. Or check the Luminae menu and the MDR menus sometime before dinner and you can decide what to do that night. They also have added common every day selections in Luminae (off menu) but I think you need to ask your server what they are. When we sailed they added a paper insert to the Luminae menu with these extra selections.
  11. Definitely not a Spotted Lantern Fly. They have taken over where I live in PA. They cause a lot of damage. I think Iceland and northern latitudes are much too cold for them to survive.
  12. You can always just Ignore my posts if you want.
  13. Hey thanks for taking the time out of your day to scold me. Much Appreciated.🙂
  14. Tipping threads are my least favorite on the CC Boards. Followed closely by Infinite Veranda threads. Here is a Wall. Beat your head here.
  15. Yes a key factor is the positioning and location of the ship. We were on EDGE in the Caribbean and had excellent WiFi most days, most of the time. Also satellite internet speeds will be variable and never as good as cable or fiber optic land-based WiFi. Maybe Starlink will change the game on RCG ships and cruiselines in the future.
  16. Yes you can call Celebrity. Or wait until you are on the ship. Your beverage package was included and hopefully you have the original documentation. Also if you call you can get a copy of your final payment document which should include your beverage package.
  17. @chemmo Thank you so much for your perspective. Sometimes I truly wonder about the differences between an RS and PH and try to figure out why the price pp is so different.
  18. Ken I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread and the one from Jim ( @Jim_Iain) too. Great job guys. You have continued to stimulate CruiseLust here on CC.
  19. On a number of ships (M, S, and E-Class) we have stayed in SS, CS and RS . Never in a PH. It seems a number of you on this thread have stayed in both RS and PH. Can anybody give me a short summary or personal observations on choosing a PH over an RS? Thank you.
  20. I think with this current version of the virus, ship-board havoc is much less likely (in terms of serious illness). But more likely in terms of isolation protocols.
  21. Yes the vast majority of passengers decide on the show time and when to have dinner. There is flexibility for everyone's needs.
  22. The rules are still different for your country. New rules apply to US and EU sailings. Not Canada.
