  1. And here I thought, "Potato chips?" 😬
  2. Yes, I was upgraded in March from an OV to an IV, too. 😀 I resisted the Move Up offer because I figured I'd get bumped up anyway.
  3. Yes, those little tags, usually placed right on the threads of a seam, are tough to remove from some items without ripping threads or the fabric. I don't send out anything that is at all delicate as a result. If the washing/drying doesn't ruin it, the tags will.
  4. We got plastic bottles of water on the pier as recently as December (or maybe it was January) on the Constellation. Sometimes they have to take what they can get.
  5. It is when the website repeatedly states travelers are expected to walk several miles a day and stand for periods of time. It was disappointing to have to slow the pace of the tour for one person who shouldn't have booked at that time. "6. These tours are very active. Our tours are not for everyone. They are very active — physically and socially. They're designed for energetic and curious people who are ready for the experience of a lifetime. Museum tours, guided neighborhood walks and occasional hikes all add up to lots of time on our feet during the day. Afterward, we relax at dinner with lively conversations." "What are the physical demands of your tours? Our tours are physically active! Expect to be on your feet, walking and standing, for up to three hours, indoors and outdoors, and in all weather conditions. You'll also need to carry your own luggage, often up several flights of stairs."
  6. Mmm-kay. That's what I wrote. I was responding to this earlier statement: "We got back from an excursion at 3pm and without doing room service we only found burgers, hot dogs and fries."
  7. I brought a 26" bag on my Rick Steves tour in 2012. I managed it on my own and it was less of a burden than the guy who'd just had knee surgery, used a walking stick, and kept telling the guide to slow down. 😊 ETA: Rick Steves wears one shirt and has people to carry his camera equipment. He may travel light; his crew brings all the stuff.
  8. Yes. Heron is much closer than the Palm to some of the terminals it serves. You can also drop bags (sounds like you may have carryon only) before parking, if that's your thing.
  9. Yes, I had the same thought. If memory serves, those sprinkler heads have a little symbol with a hanger crossed out to remind (instruct) people not to hang anything from them.
  10. This is one of those personal preference things. I haven't and can't see myself ever packing in only a carry-on for a trip (not just a cruise) of 4-5 days or more. I like my stuff, I like options, and a "lost" bag (which is usually a delayed bag) is a possibility but one I'm willing to risk. It's happened to me only a couple of times, and I pack so I can still get by for a day or two.
  11. Usually the pizza and pasta are available all day.
  12. Given that no one wants to dress up, I couldn't care less if my clothes are wrinkled. They're wrinkled in my non-vacation life, too. ☺️
  13. Log in to your account on the Celebrity website, and choose Manage Reservation from the menu when you click on your name in the upper right-hand corner. Then find the reservation and click "Manage Reservation." Once the specific reservation is open, click "Reservation Details," and there will be a place to add the other cruiser.
  14. Celebrity won't direct you to vendors they can't make money from. At most of those ports, vendors will be at the gates to offer van tours, snorkeling trips, rides to nearby beaches, etc. You should visit the Ports of Call boards here for ideas and to see what vendors others have used and recommend.
  15. No, it's just the name of the boarding pass. At this time, only suite passengers have priority.
  16. Well, sure, but people have been lying about symptoms on health questionnaires for years.
  17. I have "free" tests from the U.S. government, and I'll bring a couple with me to London in Sept. I'll do one in my hotel before getting on the ship.
  18. Got this in an e-mail today for my Sept. cruise (emphasis added): For your embarkation port, all guests aged five years and over must still take a Covid‑19 antigen test and receive a negative result within two days of departure. You will no longer need to provide a test certificate, however, you will be asked to confirm the test has been taken, with a negative result, for you and each member of your party as part of your pre‑boarding health declaration at the cruise terminal. Adequate tests include over the counter tests, providing they fall within our list of accepted Covid-19 antigen tests.
  19. Okay, so it's not that the OP is out of luck filing a dispute--it's worth a try if Celebrity doesn't do the right thing.
  20. I have filed disputes that don't meet those criteria (there also used to be something about the purchase being made within Z miles of one's mailing address, if memory serves). And I have been successful at getting my money back.
  21. Where are you sailing from? Italy's requirement is "within two days" so you can test once you arrive, too. Barcelona and Southampton appear to be the same. (Yes, some guests will need testing within one day, but if the OP is testing two days ahead already, that apparently doesn't apply.)
  22. I have been tested twice at Fast Test Now, and testees go inside. (There's a location in Ft. L.) And CVS and Walgreens near me have inside testing as well. (Everyone who enters a CVS is potentially sick.)
