  1. 1. Yes, you can add a beverage package through the cruise planner once booked. AI also includes gratuities, so you'd want to consider that amount as well. (But perhaps not for an AU/NZ cruise; I am not familiar with the booking differences. The grats may be in the fare.) 2. The MDR is at the back of the ship (or perhaps the entrance is midhip-ish), not the front. The theater is in the front. You should read Celebrity's "Healthy at Sea" information on the website. Click "requirements" at the top of any page.
  2. The point is, skipping breakfast leads to eating more during the rest of the day. Anyhoodle, you could try ordering the coffee before you go to bed; it may stay warm in the carafe. Maybe not. You may have to compromise on something. 😉
  3. The "Or, order very expensive room service coffee." remark refers to the Vegas hotels, not to Celebrity's room service.
  4. Coffee makers are one more thing to maintain, clean (!), replace -- they'd be happy to bring you coffee at the time you specify in the morning. Just hang the room service breakfast menu on your door before bed. (Also, not trying to talk you into breakfast, but studies show people who eat breakfast lose more weight when they are dieting. Of course, those people don't sample everything on a cruise ship buffet, but a little fruit and some eggs will tide you over to lunch, which can then be smaller.)
  5. You can name Facebook. You just can't direct people over there for a roll call or other purposes.
  6. I just did a mock booking and got the sale applied. Try another cruise/date/cabin category.
  7. I'm not understanding your reference to a 10-day isolation. The CDC now recommends only 5 days, with isolation ending after 5 days if fever-free and with improving symptoms. Who is "they"? Edit: I assume that's Celebrity's protocol, but if your DH is improving, you should be able to rent a car and drive home in a couple of days.
  8. The newspaper is tough, but I still bring and read books. The paper ones. And yes, by the pool. I don't read underwater, though.
  9. Never mind the testing, but a 10:00 a.m. flight is cutting it really close. See if you can take a later flight on the same day.
  10. Maybe. A friend of mine just flew home from a TA: tested negative at the airport and positive when she got home (like hours later).
  11. Sure, they can be replaced . . . but not on a ship or during international travel. I'd rather not deal with the annoyance and inconvenience if possible.
  12. Head to the Roll Call section and search for your ship and cruise.
  13. https://orlandoairports.net/getting-around-mco/coronavirus-covid-19/
  14. For others' edification, there's a difference between "the day before" and "within 24 hours."
  15. If you are in the U.S. (can't tell from my phone), order some of the free government tests and practice. Then watch the YouTube videos of others taking the tests. That'll give you a good idea.
  16. Following. It's taken me over two months to get my solo double points for a March cruise. I'd like the contact for when it happens again. (This isn't the first time I haven't gotten the points, but the first time it's taken eight weeks, four calls, and two e-mails.)
  17. You will participate. I blew my pieces (this was before COVID, so they might not want people's mouths on the rod anymore [they used to clean the ends with some wipes]), used the wooden paddle to shape, used the tongs/tweezers, etc. You'll get a lot of help, but I enjoyed doing what I did. I have four pieces and all of them stand straight. Well, not the ornament. 😉
  18. You can take the test the day before the flight.
  19. I find the more I cruise, the less I plan. Pack some clothes, bring your toothbrush, and just plan to relax. 😊 Fingers crossed for a negative test.
  20. I love being in the Solarium between about 4 and 7 precisely because few people are around. 😄 I could see letting kids in if it's inclement weather, but I would probably leave.
  21. Or how they make us think they're contact tracing . . .
  22. Thanks -- location doesn't show on cell phone.
  23. You should also build in some time to get a COVID test, assuming you're flying to the U.S.
  24. They will sell you a telehealth test after you disembark. You can take it using your device.
  25. But those who have a booster also have to have a pre-boarding test. Just not at the port.
