The intervening room might not be available so all you can do is ask, but that’s the problem with guarantee bookings……

Haven’t seen one of these in over five years. You can always ask, but I don’t think they do this anymore.
-
Yes you can.

What is dreaded about the drill? It takes less than a minute.

Thanks to those who gave information
Some cruise lines don't offer a lot of activities or entertainment
I was just trying to get a better feel for Celebrity
Out of curiosity, which ones don’t?

So, in other words she’s delusional

That’s right. Luminae does not take reservations. It is all open seating.

In the last 48 hours, we were informed by Celebrity Cruises of an itinerary change on the 6 May 2023 sailing of Celebrity Millennium from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Specifically, an overnight stay in San Francisco was cancelled, citing the company's need to be sensitive to the migration pattern of whales, a phenomenon of which mariners have been aware for centuries. It is implausible that a company with the resources, technology, and sailing prowess of Celebrity failed to consider this annual rite of passage in their planning. Worse, Celebrity waited until inside 90 days to make the disclosure. Many of us on this sailing had made arrangements with substantial financial commitments for the evening we were scheduled to be in San Francisco and Celebrity, as expected, has disavowed any responsibility. In an age of rampant cost-cutting, my cynical mind is pointing in the direction of docking fees and a quick way to avoid them. Either that or the whales are doing a poor job of giving advance notice of their travel plans.
Who did you share your substantial and expensive plans with? Sounds like someone is out to get you. I’d be suspicious too. I beg of you, monsieur, watch yourself. There are vultures, vultures everywhere! Oh wait, that’s a different port🤪🥴😳😲

At least she didn’t brag on the excellence of the Celebrity website. Then you would know that she had really lost her mind

Hi all
We are trying our first Celebrity cruise on Eclipse in October
We are not late night people but we do like to have something to do after an early dinner and on board if we have sea days or don't feel like going ashore
I have heard that Celbrity is an "entertainment yourself" cruise line and not sure exactly what that might mean
Where did you hear that?

If it is held outside on the lawn perhaps you would enjoy attending

Why would they get quarantined? I doubt they can make anyone test. With vax and new medicines there is no reason to quarantine anyone. Let’s get on with life.
You can get quarantined for norovirus. Covid isn’t the only threat out there.

The Captain’s Club events (breakfast, Captain’s toast, Music and Mixology, etc) were only on the printed invitation sheet, not on the app, on our recent cruises

They will enroll you as elite through a courtesy agreement with Royal. You will start with zero points and in order to get to elite Plus and you need to earn all the points on Celebrity.. Elite gets you unlimited drinks at most bars during the two hour happy hour from 5 to 7 PM (not the first night, though). And also gets you access to the elite continental breakfast from 8 to 10 AM, with mimosas and bloody Mary’s. Have a look at the Celebrity website to see other elite benefits

It is called luggage valet. There are numerous threads about it on the Celebrity board. It is not operational from Florida at this time. Princess seems to be offering it but not Celebrity

No bars open
not even the pool bar
No bars open
None
I’m confused. Is the Ocean view café bar open but just not Serving alcohol? Any other bar open for waters and sodas?

If you ever see the magic carpet zooming past you, prepare for the bridge to issue a disaster code on the PA system!

Just to be clear, you know there is no balcony I hope?
-
Also some casino rates and some military rates and a few other rates come with no drinks, so then the elite happy hour is a welcome perk

I don’t think that it was meant that this cruise went to Grand Cayman, only that even the Cruises that did still always had a bar open. And that was a port day, not a Sea day. What the reviewer said, simply doesn’t make much sense.

30 day turnaround? That’s unreasonable, IMO

I saw a thread in 2022 saying it was back on certain ships. Maybe it never happened..
Yes, that thread was in error, unless it was specifically about Seattle. Since
alaska cruises have ceased for the winter, it remains to be seen what will happen there in the future
Apex or Reflection ship for Caribbean Cruise?
