Did I miss something? Reading the letter posted on this thread, the valet service for American Airlines Will cost us $30 + $40 + $150 for 3 bags.  My total comes to $220, not free or any other number.  Please correct me 🙂

That’s what American Airlines charges—- that is not what the Valet service charges.  And the American Airlines charges may or not be imposed depending on what the class of service you book, do you have American Airlines frequent flyer status, etc.

Curious how they handle the fees for "elite" frequent flyers who already get 1 or 2 bags free.  I would hope there is a way to keep from being charged by Celebrity?  It's not mentioned.

It is mentioned when you actually fill out the form.

  3. Announced today in Australia, and the rest of the world in the coming hours, Celebrity will be instituting a new pricing for those fast during a cruise.  “We know that this is a niche market but that some people choose to fast and we will be reducing their fare accordingly.  Celebrity passengers can sign up for a variety of fasting options from one day to the entire cruise. No medical authorization is needed, just a passenger’s desire for their own health and wellness”

  4. Are you staying in the same cabin or switching to a new room?

If you are changing staterooms, the two stateroom attendants involved with coordinate moving your things. You might want to take your medication and jewelry into the new room and put it in the safe during the transition but talk to the stateroom attendants about the best way to handle that.   in the EU, It’s unlikely that you will have to leave the ship.

remember that age is a separate account, onboard credit and Internet minutes do not carry over. Check with guest relations to make sure that your credit card account information gets transferred

we're on the Silhouette next month. we won't have any internet package, and no cell-phone (yes, some of us still survive like this!).

Does the ship allow any access to 'free internet', or whatever, for people like us to get online onboard to complete our 24-hour in advance airline check-in?

Its been a while since we've cruised but I do re-call it was do-able before....not sure which cruise line.

    Anyone?

There is no free Internet. You can buy a one hour package, but that’s fairly expensive. You can try asking the concierge or guest relations to give you a courtesy airline check-in, and that works sometimes but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t.  Or just wait until you get to the airport and check in then.

As far as I understand it ,and I am open to being wrong, all guests in a the state room regardsless of relationship, marital status etc will be treated and regaurded for the cruise as the same CC status as the status of the highest level guest in that cabin . So if a Zenith brings a select guest on in the same cabin they will both be given Zenith privaliges for the duration of the cruise. Guests can also if married or partners apply to have their CC status matched.

That should be so for social events but not for other Zenith benefits like internet and bev package

I received a call from my TA today (4 days before sailing...) which is unusual. When I answered she informed me that she'd just been contacted by Celebrity and I owed $282, payable immediately (well by EOB), or my reservation would be cancelled.

    Huh?

Turns out that back in December when I was doing a lot of cruise planning on the X website (shore excursions, drink package upgrades, etc), one of the transactions had an error on Celebrity's end and I was inadvertently refunded twice.  (I purchased the drink packages on a credit card and later called to get a refund and use OBC instead.)  I had several cancellations/refunds from Celebrity around this time frame and never noticed the double refund, especially since they were not 2 x 282--- there was one refund of 282, and two each of 141.

So, I owe X the money; that is understandable.

So, you lost track of your transactions,, yes?

there would have been no problem if you had done things right?
