  1. yes I had seen them on Quantum of the seas last year. see photo
  2. yes I do this and I tell them I have not watched the video yet but they said it is fine since I showed up to the location of the muster. They do not access who looks at video or not. Me thinks the IT dept would not be able to even handle or write a program to do this. ha ha
  3. I say NO ONE is allowed to reserve a chair until the pool opens. Perhaps that would stop the crazys at 6 or 7am. the fact that deck chairs are put out all the time is why perhaps this is an issue.
  4. you have that right. I know folks who once they sailed on the newer Carnival ships, really liked them. And I know folks who swore of Disney because of the kids, then they went and loved that line too. Nice amenities for adults and good food and wonderful private island. the only really bad cruise line I have read about is that Margaritaville out of Palm Beach. just a mess of a ship
  5. Yes I agree and so does NCL as they changed back to the emuster after much and mucho complaints
  6. I actually hate the window over the bed since you can not stand and look out. I prefer a sofa by the window if possible. If not then I move the bed and sleep in twin.
  7. I think Seabourne is smaller than the ship I am going on and more expensive too. but enjoy
  8. when you get in the way of a person in a wheelchair that is the lowest level of rudeness IMO Honest to goodness I stick to myself as I travel solo and I feel I won't be making any friends on ships any more. If I was behind those two ladies I would have shot my mouth off to them as well.
  9. thanks. but yes Coco Cay is a miss about 10% of the time for the fleet. I have been there when the winds were high and we barely got in.
  10. oh yes homemade are good. Having one tonight. I like to season mine and I do not like burgers too thick. I like a little crunch around the edges. toodles
  11. well in 2 weeks a I start the first of 9 sailings this year - 1 a month. Sorry no HAL but I am going back to Alaska and doing 1 cruise in the med on Celebrity Edge out of Barcelona. toodles it looks to me like the best ports are yet to come. I like the world cruise itinerary for RCI than HAL and avoiding Africa. enjoy the baltics
  12. I had to take a second look because the nose looks similar to that of a BEAR.
  13. yes she is one of the first ships to migrate to Europe or Alaska. A lot of the other ships leave mid April In fact, HAL has hardly any ir NONE in Fla between May-Oct. Princess and Celebrity might each have one.
  14. You know I have noticed this more and more how folks run to the buses. And I notice more and more it is the over 50 crowd too. I find younger folks go with the flow and know that a sit will be there for them. I have seen a few times a married couple each try to grab a window. One time I notice this and let the tour guide know that it is not fair if a solo person has to sit in aisle and not be able to get photos. That and really if one person is really really overweight, do not make a stranger butt up next to them.
  15. and of course I have to ask, WHEN IS THE NEXT CRUISE that you will be on??? ha ha
  16. is it in the trash or refrigerator? Funny how things walk away.
  17. I do not blame them since so many have had issues and got delayed. Thanks for the photo of the model. I gotta say the model looks a little cheap thought. More interesting will be the crystal of the ship. My goodness you do have your sources. Do your sources know if the new Captain will stay with Wonder until summer and then go to shipyard which looks to be thawing out a bit?
  18. very nice. Like I said this thread is fun to read unless folks are mean. But for those who do not cruise, they too would ask the same question about 20K suites and why?
  19. oh yes DCL is good for us without kids and over 40 too. I love the Fantasy and she has a nice adult area two story in front of the ship and a bench water swirl type setup to relax. Food is good in all rotating restaurants and the ship is very clean. One thing is the nightly gathering of officers all in white near elevators as well as characters and music. And Disney private island has three areas including one of adults. But I ended up liking the area with families closer to the ship. Disney has soda offerings near the pool that is not extra. A lot of balconies will have two baths, one with rub and one with toilet.
  20. I say May and June are good for cruising out of Port Canaveral. Last November I think there were more weather issues than I could every recall.
  21. well I found the burgers to be better than those precooked and sitting under a lamp or in water sauce in the MDR. Good burgers by the pool can be had on Carnival at Guys place. Fast turnover and always hot too
  22. check on line under your cruise planner. it should provide that information
  23. are you worried them taking photo of your face and putting that online. Most of the good You Tubers try not to take close ups. Tik Tok, well that is another story and mostly silly folks and not like those on You Tube who have a regular channel.
  24. yup that is what I did during 2021-2022. I made a spreadsheet and kept track. Had to so the same with airlines. Then again, one of my air credits got a date change and I caught just in time. Went first class quickly to Fla Universal Studios for a quick 4 day trip. oh well. better than losing the money.
  25. it's okay and I have enjoyed all the comments. I think even if one has the means, 20K is a lot of money unless you bring adult family who can share the price. Hoping the rich folks still give to a charity or two.
