  1. Best way is to ask others (not allowed on CC). I had a good one that went sour on me due to Covid. A cc member put me onto my current TA. I really don't use him much as I do all my own planning and either just transfer after booking or e-mail him with a request to book and the room I want. I rarely call him on the phone as I'm on the West Coast and just e-mail and ask him to fix any problems that pop up. The Refundable OBC he offers is well worth it for me.
  2. Wow... starting to sound like the outrage of Zenith's when they pulled Retreat access. BTW Terry, I agree with you. Some of the changes without warnings have led many of use to look elsewhere for future bookings. Celebrity seems to slipping more and more into the classification of Main Line Cruise-line but an a more premium price.
  3. Read the fine print VERY CLOSELY. I haven't looked in a long time but when I did they could only be used for new bookings and there were a number of conditions..
  4. Please don't take this as condescending but you might wish to find a good TA. That way you don't have to do all that waiting. Just a quick phone call or e-mail and they will take care of it. The base fare is the same and all payments are done directly on Celebrity. Many TA will also offer you something in the form of an OBC for your booking. BTW you have 30 days from booking to still transfer to an agent and get the extra benefits an agent may offer.
  5. You should have no problems. There is no one monitoring if you drop luggage and check in immediately. I've done it myself more than once. Jim
  6. I will have to admit I am spending more time over there. I just checked and my Solstice April 9 has 160 members on FB and no way of really telling on CC. Both are really quiet and think most just read and don't post.
  7. If you don't have the administrator's e-mail. Send me and email at my link in my signature. She posted her address yesterday and asked us to have proof sent to her when we recommend a new member. I'm sure it's a lot of work.
  8. Last week someone posted a link and spreadsheet with a hack that allows you to log onto any cruise (even not booked on) and see all package prices and excursions.
  9. Would be good to check. After the completion of the merger they even deactivated my log in credentials so I have to create a new account totally.
  10. Your right Edge not Edger ..... I've never been the best typer.
  11. They should be able to just tag them to the reader. I keep mine in the little leather holder and can tap the room keypad and the slot pad without taking them out of the holder. I would assume the bartenders would at least need to see to know which drink package you have.
  12. It's really funny. Some of the Roll Calls I've been on are very active and others barely breathing. They do have a tendency to perk up about 1-2 months prior to cruise.
  13. No. Most I know are around and reading but don't post on CC because of all the snarky folks that feel compelled to be confrontational. I've seen the same on FB but the Private Group has a wonderful host who doesn't put up with people breaking the rules we all agreed to in the group. It is a very pleasant place to hang out.
  14. That's really nice glad your Celebration was setup so quickly.
  15. One of the requirements is you have to send the Administrator Proof that you are Zenith - e.g. a screenshot of your CC Account showing your Zenith or a Zenith SeaPass. Once received approval is rather quick. The requirement is to keep non-zeniths and spammers out.
  16. To all those that feel the same. CC has a really nice feature called Ignore List - You can add people by clicking drop down to right of your face icon. When a troll finds no one sees their rude or condescending remarks they will move on to a new forum.
  17. Thanks for your perspective. Like many others we are doing some shopping around. We will continue to cruise on Celebrity but instead of have 10+ future cruises booked with them we are down to 4. Really finding Silver Seas, Oceania and Seaborne interesting in the limited research I've done so far. Posts like your, reinforce we are looking in the right direction.
  18. Suggest you log onto your account at Celebrity - Select Cruise and "Manage Reservation" From there choose Internet and you will see the current sales price. Also from the App -- select your cruise and then click on the Icon for Wifi - shows the current 20% sale price. If you get a better discount with your CC membership you have to call in to book with the CC discount (or wait until aboard where it will automatically be loaded in your account to select once one the ship. Check when you see a sale as I've heard of 40-50% discounts - Current price in my app are $19.99 / night for Premium. If I recall correctly you can no longer purchase Classic. You can get Classic with an all inclusive and upgrade but no longer buy Classic stand alone.
  19. Mine came from EdgerRetreat@Celebrity.Com
  20. Wow... sorry to hear. Was there any access for Suite passengers? Or those with CheckIn times?
  21. Somehow unbeknownst to me I hit Onyx and was not charged for any monies I took off or room in Casino. There is a limit on how much you take out and don't play that will lock you out of further withdraws but I seem to hit that number just playing a bit on a slot I like. I'm definitely not a big gambler even though I use to day trade - which many say is gambling.
  22. Still possible and your first indication of win is your credit card is charged. I have alerts set up and receive an immediate ping on my phone and watch. At 48 hours all that have not won will be notified. Even with rooms available - remember they may have 100's of bids. I was on a cruise and had a healthy bid in on a upgrade from CS to RS. The room was still available when we cruised they never awarded it. I asked about a paid upgrade and they offered a price that was higher that if I purchased it online prior to the cruise. I turned it down and it stayed empty. Greedy Revenue Manager on the ship.
  23. You were lucky. Will be interested to hear back from other. I chatted with 2 new Zeniths on our last cruise and they had never heard a word even though their status had been upgraded. In my case they explained the delay was due to the person who does the kits and welcome was on vacation.
  24. Prior to the link on the main screen the other link on the port option page was really designed for Android and had lots of trouble trying to connect using Apple. With the casting I was able to connect my ibm pc using Cast feature when casted my desktop.
  25. You should probably contact them yourself. They have been very erratic in communication. When we hit Zenith we never received the Zenith Welcome Kit - A nice box with luggage Tags, a fact sheet with Zenith Desk unpublished Phone number and a Zenith Lapel Pin. I called and they apologized and couple days later I received two empty boxes. In the end we ended with 4 boxes and all the information.
