  1. It would have been fun to meet you. We are the Oceania Vista from Istanbul to Barcelona and will then be doing the Equinox 11/21/2025 from Lisbon to Buenos Aires (fingers crossed been cancelled 2X before). I'm probably more excited about the upcoming Oceania cruise than anything we currently have booked.
  2. Just looked on the Tampa Port live traffic and Constellation is underway and coming out of harbor at around 5:30 Eastern.
  3. I heard from a couple people on board. B2B's were back on the ship by 1:30 - Luminae was extended to 2:30 for lunch. General boarding also began around 1:30 - of course starting with Suites then I'm not sure the priority system used. I was once on a delayed boarding and they handed out numbered stickers like excursions and then called by groups. Sure someone will let know. Constellation was scheduled for a 4PM departure and is 5:30 now and she is still in Tampa.
  4. B2B Back to Back -- two consecutive cruies --- CS is a Celebrity Suite SS Sky Suite RS Royal Suite etc.
  5. Yes. You will need to call and cancel. I've done it before with no problem.
  6. I came done with Noro 20 years ago. It was the second day (for some reason we had Safety drill Second Morning) back when you had to put on life jackets. In the middle of the drill I could tell I was going to be sick and went running. One agent said you can't leave and I yelled I'm going to be sick.... He said RUN I was confined to cabin for 2 days but really had zero appetite for the full cruise and took about 10 days to get back to normal. After that I started watching everything I touched and bring nitrile gloves with me. I try now not to touch anything.
  7. What always grosses me out is seeing people licking their finger after touching something on their plate then grab a serving spoon. Other thing that makes me cringe is after being careful to use a napkin to hold tongs while getting a salad then have a big dressing container that everyone is holding..
  8. I have a feeling it is going to be a real mess tomorrow. I posted something I heard from a B2B passenger currently on board. They have to be off the ship tomorrow 9is and will be bussed to a Mall and told they probably will not board until well after noon. I hope someone will let you know about the Tampa - as I can see from the Port Schedule you will be departing Terminal 3. This video shows the inside of the terminal - you might find it helpful
  9. I guess it isn't designed for Crutches, Knee Replacements an Wheel Chairs.
  10. Yes when looking at last year Summit 5/15 - 5/25 Constellation 3/6 - 3/17 Equinox 3/9 - 3/18 Hate to say it but over 85% of the outbreaks in 2023 were on Royal and Celebrity with only 1 on Princess and 1 on P&O. I've been on a ship once out of Barcelona and boarding was delayed 5+ hours. Next cruise they shift to sanitation protocols - Servers required for drinks, and buffet station, no salt and pepper shakers - packets instead etc. Kinda like after Covid.
  11. CDC has reported and Outbreak on Celebrity Constellation I have heard from some friends on the ship that are on a B2B that they have to pack-up so their CS can be fumigated during B2B. All B2B must disembark and will be bussed to a Local Mall and not expect to return to the ship until well after noon. A cc member joining the ship have indicated they received a text saying not to show up at the terminal until after 12:30 CDC will be coming aboard and will have to clear ship prior to boarding. CDC reports outbreaks when 3% or more of passengers or crew report symptoms to the Ship's Medical Staff so would not include those that don't self report.
  12. Wow.... Abby ---- Just got a message from a friend that is on a B2B on Constellation. As you probably know by now, they have a big outbreak of Noro aboard and CDC is coming aboard and a full disinfection campaign is underway. B2B's had to pack up and leave the ship and were taken to a mall as no passengers can be on the ship. They had to totally leave their room so it can be disinfected. Just checked and it is already on the CDC site.
  13. Sorry to hear. It really is a value proposition. Sometimes their minimum bid prices are way over price and I don't even bid.
  14. Those were the days.... People were outraged that thy charged a Surcharge of $25. It was a crime that Celebrity took Olympic off the ship and turned have the restaurant into rooms.
  15. Have a good trip Abby. Been looking forward to a good Live Report.
  16. I would suggest you send an Attention to Detail message using the QR code. All of these go to the Hotel Director as well as the appropriate Manager. Not sure if you used this initially but is one of the best way to get action. Also address to Hotel Director - Often the Captain also gets a summary of these reports.
  17. We will not be shifting to a single line like we did with Celebrity for 23 years. Our first non-Celebrity was on Ponant - explorer type cruises with 125 is passengers... Totally no comparison possible. While we have not taken yet We have booked 2 TA's on Cunard (in lieu of flying to UK) and over the weekend Booked an Oceania Cruise for 2025. Stay tuned for a Live Side by Side by Side Cunard - Oceania - Celebrity in November 2025 (long time off so don't hold your breath).
  18. I'm much the same. I've been in CS on M-class ships that have a connecting interior door and you can actually hear the butler talking in the morning when delivering meals.
  19. I've had that happen quite often Generally if you have been into "Manage my Reservation" you get locked out for 10-15 minutes. This can also occur is Celebrity or your agent are in your reservation for some reason. If still getting after 10-15 minutes try clearing your cache and cookies.
  20. I've never been in one but seen them when walking the hallways. Like many of the cabins that have an inset door way --- each room has their own door but there is another door that can close off the alcove and leave your door unlocked or open. Here's a picture to help visualize
  21. Remember that on many of the ships they have an al Bacio Segundo at the entrance to the Buffet area.
  22. Don't hold your breath. How much OBC will they throw our way to offset the removal of Gratuities and $800 OBC. If you calculate every suite passenger loosing approx 1,300-1,500 it really goes to their bottom line . Like many others Celebrity has lost their value proposition and made other cruise lines much more attractive. I just booked my 3rd non-Celebrity cruise since the beginning of the year and it's on January 10th.
  23. From what I read is the entertainment may be low key with none of the acrobatics. Of course the cast is also 1/3 the size of that on Celebrity. Personally I find Celebrity's a disappointment and haven't been to a show in about 10 years. Some of the other lines Ponant and Oceania is a totally different concept. They have no containers at all. You get a nice drink bottle on each cruise to refill if you choose. They have dispensers for both still and sparkling. They self fill and cap bottles of each for your room with dates on them and swap them out every day or two. I found it really nice and never had to call for additional.
  24. I live in Silicon Valley which of course has very relaxed dress even among some of the titan's of the largest high tech companies. Steve Jobs was an example as well as Mark Zukerberg. Personally I love to dress up and excited for my first Cunard cruise so I can wear a Versace Tuxedo I bought and only worn once. I pretty sure Cunard still have a Tuxedo Rental facility that may work well. After all he will only have to wear it a coupe times on the cruise and he may finds he loves the experience, especially when he realizes how elegant he feel dressed up next to you on the Gala nights. Tell him just pretend it's Halloween. If all else fails play the Mom Guilt Trip on him. We all love to please our Mothers.
  25. Yes. All charges are first applied to Non-Refundable OBC. Anything left over of your Refundable will be automatically refunded to your credit card or on last day of cruise you can pull it out in cash at the front desk.
